Its a very nice home, with lots of amenities. great to be able to have access to washer and dryer and fully stocked kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. The lake was great, it's a rocky bottom so the owners advise to wear shoes (we wore crocs) was helpful. Owner is very available for questions. great customer service! The view is amazing! and the fire pit was one of my highlights! having access to kayaks was also appreciated and we had a great time exploring the lake. One fair warning, the camp road is dirt/gravel, and lots of hills so our plan of doing some light biking was not in the cards, you need to be in shape to bike or hike! the driveway is very steep down (I was warned by the owner). It was a little hard to maneuver our van down the driveway so we could unpack, but turned out even harder to get it back UP the driveway. Our 2nd vehicle was a Prius, and it could NOT get back up the driveway, it had rained which made it a little slick, but we got it good and stuck and had to get it towed. just fair warning, there is a place to park before it gets to the steepest part, and I would advise that (so did the owner honestly). We did finally leave our vehicles there, which made it a bit of work packing back up to leave. that steepness and the 40 steps to the dock were a small drawback. Not enough to make the trip a bad experience though! but if you have mobility issues, it is something to consider. The first day was very hot and humid, and it was hard to air out the cabin, many windows didn't have screens and the ones that did seemed to still get small bugs through it, such is life in the woods, but the owners has fans available and AC in one room. The rest of our trip unfortunately was overcast and rainy and cool, but we made the most of it, and had a good time, did some puzzles, and watched some movies the owner had. Would definitely consider going again!
