A beautiful jungle oasis
We had SO much fun at this home! First of all, Johan was awesome and booked several excursions for us, all of which were awesome. He was always there for us at a moments notice to ask questions and he was full of information, which was so helpful. He was a huge asset to our vacation. The house was a perfect home base. It was close to town, and yet was secluded enough so we enjoyed just tons of wildlife. Sitting on the porch we encountered plenty of monkeys, iguanas, scarlet macaws, and lots of other wildlife. The pool was an added bonus. The home has two bedrooms upstairs, which share a bathroom. Downstairs has a bedroom, where you have to go outside down the stairs to enter. It's not only a bedroom, though. They set it up with a small fridge, coffee maker, tv, a/c (REQUIRED in this area) and it has a full bath, so it's sort of like a small apartment. We were two couples, so one stayed upstairs and one down, which worked perfect for us. The house was well appointed, quiet, and had everything we needed.
We would recommend this home enthusiastically for folks to come and enjoy the town, beaches, and natural resources this area of Costa Rica has to offer!
Thank you, so much, for your review! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will come back to stay with us again.
Lovely, quiet home in the jungle
We enjoyed our stay here! The best part was seeing the monkeys just outside the house. The house was clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, and we loved sitting outside on the porch. The neighborhood was quiet, yet near to everything in Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Our only complaints were that one of the beds was too hard and uncomfortable (the other two beds were great) and that the mildew around the pool made it unappealing for swimming. But we went to the beach every day anyway, so this was not a huge problem for us.
Spacious, comfortable home nestled in the jungle.
It was great coming back to the house each day after being out and about. Within a very short walk from the house, we saw frogs (including poison dart) and different birds.
Beautiful house in the treetops
We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Kiskadee! The house is beautiful and the view was amazing. We felt like we were in a treehouse with all the beautiful green foliage around us. Johann was very helpful. Thank you for sharing your home with our family :)
Incredible home away from home for two weeks. Clean and cozy and Johan was a great help to us!
The home is cozy, well-stocked and clean.
Minimal bugs, which we appreciated, being set in the middle of the jungle. Cleaners left home clean throughout the week and were so friendly. Johan was a huge help and communicated with us throughout the stay. Monkeys visited the home which was fun throughout the week. We also saw parrots and toucans and huge iguanas. A beautiful setting.
STEEP driveway to the house and couldn’t have done it without a 4W Drive. The listing was a bit vague and should point out that the third bedroom is separate from the main living quarters and could be a problem with a family that has a set of kids as we didn’t want ours to be separated downstairs and away from us. (Only access being you have to go outside and downstairs to access)
Overall a beautiful and lovely stay and we would absolutely recommend. Thanks for opening your home to us!
With various modes of transportation easily accessible, you can enjoy a multitude of exciting activities in the area including zip-lining, whale and dolphin watching, boating, para-sailing, bird watching, eco-tourism, tennis, golf, and ATV tours, just to name a few. Not only are there tours of the park but many other local tours for which pick up can be arranged. Recommended examples are Damas Island, a canopy tour in Rainmaker Park where you can swim and stand under a waterfall, horseback tour to waterfall, and a nighttime Jungle tour.
About Brendon Cleer
I am a teacher from Illinois living with my wife in Tennessee. I have always been a nature lover and outdoor enthusiast. I have traveled to many places, but Costa Rica has it all. It was love at first sight. So, my wife and I decided to 'settle down' and buy this gorgeous house to which we hope to retire someday. In the meantime, we would love to share it with you. People are very warm and friendly, here. I love the abundant, exotic wildlife and being so close to the ocean. Opportunity for adventure abounds. The picture is of one of our favorite tour guides, Mario Brenes, and me on a canopy tour of Rainmaker Park.
