Thanks for your response and review. We are so glad you were able to enjoy the lake and boat. We just wanted to note that we do state in our property description that there are lots of steps and stairs. The house is built on the side of the hill that overlooks the lake. So, the lake views are amazing! We also provide monthly pest control. It was stated to us by the guests they viewed about a dozen ants on the lower level deck. We addressed it with the pest control. Although, ants and insects are a natural part of outdoor life in northern Michigan. The exterior is far from run down. We're not really sure what is being referred to here? The steps, siding, roof, decks, and lawn are in excellent upkeep. We have weekly lawn care. The docks are only 2 years old and in great shape. The beach front and seawall is also in great shape. We were just at the property a few weeks before this guest arrived and noted there was a corner of the lower deck that was sinking slightly. We brought out our handyman and he made some fixes for safety until we can address a rebuild of that corner in the fall. However, it's very safe to use. The upper deck is made of Polywood and in great shape. The lower deck is natural wood, and a bit weather worn, but certainly not in disrepair. In time, that deck will be replaced with a Polywood one. But at the moment, it is perfectly safe and in good repair. We always appreciated hearing from the guest and letting us know about any issues.
