Classic Beach Cottage, Steps to Ocean Break.

Lull yourself to sleep with the sounds of the ocean and wake up with the distant whistle of the Block Island Ferry. The Cottage by the Sea is nestled in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Narragansett. Located one block from a rocky ocean entryway, and the best surf break in Rhode Island, this sparkling clean home gives you access to the all the best activities Rhode Island has to offer.

The Cottage has beautiful clean and cozy bedrooms with fresh linens, a newer bathroom, refreshing outdoor shower, and is sparkling clean and comfortable. It also has a newer kitchen and central AC. With a large deck and cute New England yard, sip coffee while listening to the waves or gaze at the massive amounts of stars while enjoying a cocktail at night. For a night off, there are three flat screen televisions with cable (and WiFi), one in each bedroom and a large one in the living room so the family can watch a movie together.

The home is located within walking distance to the stunning lighthouse and some of Narragansett's best coastlines, restaurants, and pubs including Ocean Road Bistro, Spain Restaurant, Chair Five, Famous Aunt Carrie's (for ice cream and New England fare - Yum!), Iggy's, and the Bon Vue Tavern.

Also, check out Back Beach, an eight minute walk, for fishing, swimming (no lifeguard or facilities), and some of the most spectacular views of the ocean and sunset that you will ever see.

A quick run or bike brings you to either Sand Hill Cove (great for young children and children of any age) or Scarborough Beaches with big waves, each a two minute car ride from the home; both with lifeguards, bathrooms, and snack bars...or pop open a beach chair at the rocky break, one block from the house where you can watch the sun rise, wade in the water to look for seashells, and maybe see some ocean animals.

Whale watching, a trip on the Block Island Ferry, or deep sea fishing is only five minutes away in Galilee. A twenty minute car ride brings you to world famous Newport for shopping, dining, and yachting.

Thank you Stephanie! The Cottage by the Sea is located one block from the Conant Break, a rocky ocean break where you can surf, watch the sunrise, and sometimes see ocean animals. However it’s also ideally located between three sandy, swimming beaches, a quick bike ride or long walk from the Cottage (with plenty of parking as well). Point Judith is a great place to get your beach time in. I’m happy to share more info with you if/when you return. Details are also in our information binder at the house. Family getaway to Narragansett

Our family of 5 had a wonderful 4 night stay at this beautifully maintained cottage in a quaint and scenic neighborhood. Easy check in and check out, this was the perfect fit for our family. No stairs was a huge plus for us and the outdoor shower made it much easier for us to keep the interior sand free and clean! Thank you!

Great little beach cottage

Great location, walkable to a beach, several restaurants, and the Point Judith lighthouse. Host was very responsive and welcoming. She even invited us to the block’s 4th of July parade. Our kids loved the sleeping porch. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this property.

Our week long stay was perfect! It was like a home away from home! The house was in pristine condition with an extremely clean/updated kitchen and bathroom. The sleeping porch allowed our friends from home to sleep comfortably. The outdoor shower with hot water was a nice perk after a day at the beach. Ann Marie was accommodating with great communication. She brought us fresh towels almost daily and was helpful in answering questions regarding the area. Beautiful, quaint stay

Seven of us (over 3 generations) stayed at the cottage for a long weekend and loved our visit! The walk to the ocean to watch the sunrise and surfers was perfect for teens and grandparents alike. Nearby Roger Wheeler beach was a bit crowded, but easy to access. We also took the ferry to Block Island for a day, which was easy and fun. Dinner at recommended restaurant Spain was a perfect way to end our trip. Would highly recommend staying here. AnnMarie was a wonderful host!

Our stay at the classic beach cottage was just wonderful! It is indeed a classic beach cottage. Very lovely, extremely well appointed, warm beach vibes, and very comfortable furnishings. We unfortunately couldn’t spend as much time as we would’ve liked at the cottage and in Point Judith as we had to catch a ferry, but we will undoubtedly be back to stay in this lovely cottage by the beach. Lastly, Anne Marie topped off our horribly long day of delayed coast to coast air travel by surprising us with wine and cheese in the refrigerator. A wonderful and much appreciated surprise!

If you are looking for a McMansion, this is not for you. However, if you are looking for a delightful beach cottage, this is just what you need. Although listed as sleeping seven, and it does indeed, it would be a little tight with just the one bathroom. That being said, this lovely house is very comfortable for a few people. The owner has provided everything you could possible need and then some. Highly recommend. We loved our stay here

Great ladies’ weekend!

We had such a nice three night stay! The house was perfectly clean, beds were comfy, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. We walked to Aunt Carrie’s for ice cream, ate at George’s of Galilee, went to Block Island and Newport. It was an action-packed weekend and this was a great home base. We appreciated the treats too! Perfect beach spot

Beach cottage worked perfectly for our family of six. Plenty of space to sleep for our two adults and four children. House is upgraded where it matters most (kitchen, bathroom). Walking distance to a couple of restaurants and an ice cream stand and easy access to beaches and activities within 5-10 minute drive. Loved the area and the house.
