Our large, multi-generation family group thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful property. Our first few days were unusually cool and rainy so the gameroom was put to good use. Once the weather warmed up, the water was the place to be! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!

What a wonderful stay this was for our family! We loved the quiet location, the many bedrooms, game room for the kids, well stocked kitchen, kayaks and paddle boards and even life vests and floaties for the kids. We recommend renting the pontoon boat! The property managers responded quickly to our few requests and we felt welcomed and valued as guests. The washer and dryer both handle large loads and helped accommodate our large group. 3 bathrooms were manageable for a party of 14 so long as we planned in advance to stagger showers (a door separating the master bedroom bathtub and toilet from the sink area would be a helpful addition.) Our thanks to the owners and property managers, we hope to return again.

This amazingly spacious house was perfect for our big family reunion. We enjoyed views of the lake from the patios and beach. Our young granddaughter played in the sand and the older kids used the paddle boards and kayak. We cooked all our meals in the well stocked kitchen with a large variety of kitchen appliances; also used the large BBQ grill and large Blackstone. We especially liked the views to the outside and into the living and dining room from the kitchen; no overhead cabinets allowed these views. All the furniture was comfy and stylish. Because of the multiple places to relax and dine , we were never crowded. The bedrooms facing the lakes had large windows to view birds and lake activities. The game room had many games and even a comfy couch to watch TV so we were frequent visitors There were many ping pong and pool friendly competitions. The 4 year old even won a game of ping pong! The entire house and grounds were immaculate. We had plenty of bath towels and beach towels for the whole week. All communication with Lainie and Miguel was friendly and professional. Our family made special memories during our week at the house. Big thanks for all your efforts!!

AMAZING!!!

My family spent 5 days at this gorgeous cabin and had the time of our lives and made beautiful memories for my grandchildren to cherish! From the rustic entrance to the property, throughout the entire home which was so beautifully furnished and decorated to the sandy beach area of the lake,it couldn't have been better. The kitchen had all appliances and equipment where we prepared all of our meals. Plenty of space where we were able to spread out, some kids playing board games while others were in the game room, while others enjoyed fishing, swimming and kayaking. We are already are making plans for our return. Thank you so much!

Lakeside paradise 😍

We had a party of 15 to celebrate a family milestone and this property was perfect. We found it ideal because we wanted to focus on family time and the home is large enough for everyone to spread out but also be together. We drove into CDA for restaurants a few nights and to look around but we preferred the quiet and solitude of Hayden. We loved exploring the state park nearby for picnics and hikes. Rented a boat for water sports one day. You’re 30 minutes from groceries so stock ip when you can. The house has a fully stocked kitchen and we enjoyed most of our meals at home. The fire pit and hot tub at night were perfect for chilling and being together. Would definitely recommend if you love the outdoors and want all the comforts of home.

A Lakefront Haven for the Most Unforgettable Family ElopementThis home was an absolute dream come true for our intimate family elopement. From the start, Lainie and Miguel were incredible - responsive, kind, and went above and beyond to help us host such a special moment. Being able to bring both of our families together under one roof made the entire experience unforgettable. The property is stunning - lakefront views, a private dock, and the option to take the boat out made it feel like a true getaway. We spent mornings on the porch soaking in the peaceful views, days out on the water, and nights around the fire sharing laughs and making memories. The game room added so much fun, and the well-stocked kitchen, Blackstone, and grill made cooking and eating as one big family a joy. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax or connect - perfectly laid out for both togetherness and privacy. The owners clearly poured love into this special family property. It felt like home, but better!Huge thanks to our amazing photographer, @deborah.bestphotography, who captured the magic so beautifully - we can’t wait to return next summer and start a new family tradition!Thank you, Lainie, Miguel, and the owners. This was the perfect backdrop to celebrate such a meaningful moment. Truly heaven on earth.

Awesome property for large groups!!

Eighteen of us had a wonderful stay at this property on Hayden Lake! They had coffee grounds and filters, some k- cup pods (we brought more), they had bath towels and beach towels, laundry soap pods (we brought more), great shampoo and conditioner containers on the shower walls, plenty of wood for evening fires, lots of plates but we brought paper plates, the trash compactor was great for saving space in garbage cans, people enjoyed the hot tub and the game room was a big hit! September weather was a little cool, but we were prepared with warm clothing. We rented a pontoon from 11-6:30 one day and really enjoyed a tour of part of the lake. Some people fished but released the fish back in the lake as nobody wanted to clean them! We had lots of places to hang out and those that needed alone time could use the deck, hot tub, patio, living room, dock etc to get away. The kitchen/dining area was definitely the hub for lots of great conversations and games! Our family reunion was lots of fun!! The only extra advice I would give anybody — if you have single people in the group, you need to make sure they’re comfortable w/sleeping in a bunkbed or sleeping w/somebody. We had 17 adults and 1 child and 5 adults were singles- not all adults can climb into a top bunk bed. No matter where you stay, it might be good to have an extra room if you have several single people. The host and hostess of the Property were very accommodating and helpful when we had questions about the property!

Nice house for big group!

Host greeting & walk-through nice. Excellent common area for family to visit, kitchen well stocked, however a bit odd having to get on hands and knees to reach plates & glasses due to no overhead cabinetry- suggest moving dishes into one side of pantry for easier access. Liked having bottled water provided, beds/pillows/linens very nice. BBQ worked well and liked coffee bar. Basement doesn’t really have a kitchenette -can’t use range because of “improper venting” but did have a fridge and microwave so worked for our grandson who had an infant but the downstairs room is a bit drafty and heater not great so it took awhile to warm it up. One of the rooms is right off the dining room so may not work for everyone. Game room had lots of options but limited to 2 plugs so had to choose between darts, TV, heater or lights. Wall Heaters in game room quite out dated and took two days to heat up to half way acceptable temp for the family to use with space heater not an option due to electrical issues. Would be nice to have screens on master bedroom windows so we could open them for fresh air and double paned windows fogged up so couldn’t see the lake very well. Nice that two kayaks provided- but would have been nice to have a couple more. Would have liked to enjoy beach, dock and fire pit but it was too windy and cold during the time of our stay. Probably better to enjoy these in the Summer.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us at the Lodge. We are happy we could accommodate your early check in and late check out, but are saddened that the property didn’t live up to our 5 star expectations to you. The kitchenette oven downstairs was deemed not to be a safe idea, so we have chosen to remove it. The listing only mentions the microwave, full size refrigerator and sink. We are now considering adding a hot plate for convenience to future guests. We have also updated our listing to mention the game room may not be suitable for some during the colder months, as there are currently two wall heaters available. But the plugs for them only affect if you want the tv console or the side lamp table on with that particular heater. All other equipment: darts, basketball game, refrigerator, etc… are on the opposite walls and shouldn’t have prevented the use of the heaters. We apologize if this was not the case. Please understand that dual paned windows along with our very cold winters can sometimes cause minuscule openings that allow air in, thus causing a little moisture in between the panels. We acknowledge they may not be perfect, but we hope you could still appreciate the amazing view. Our downstairs suite has baseboard heating and a space heater available, but we understand if you felt they took long to heat up. We do wish the weather would have given you more opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, as our newly added sandy beach would have been fun for your younger family members. Perhaps, you and your family would consider giving us another try in the warmer summer months, as most of your concerns were weather related.

Overall Nice, Connectivity An Issue

We stayed at the Hayden Lake Lodge to celebrate a family event in late July--12 adults & 5 kids, ages 6-17. There are many positives about the home--it was well stocked, with adequate kitchen equipment, plenty of plates/silverware, two coffee makers (drip/Keurig). Enough seating for dining using the kitchen table, the barstools, the dining room table. Made use of the Weber grill & Blackstone (xtra propane tanks avail). Bathrooms were well stocked: shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Plenty of both bath & beach towels. Bedrooms varied in size, roomy to rather tight. Game room was fun, not air conditioned. Biggest problem was a lack of reliable internet/cell service. Several in our group needed service for various work functions; the internet service, when up, was very slow. Verizon cell service was almost non-existent making strong internet more important. It was a significant issue for our group. Also, a house that sleeps 18 needs more than 3 bathrooms. Knew this going into the rental, really took some juggling to make the bathroom situation work. The outside space was clean, organized with lots of furniture. We used the provided kayaks, paddleboard, fishing equip, hot tub, fire pit (lots of wood provided). Rented a boat from Hayden Lake Marina, tied up to the dock at the house which was convenient. Prop mgmnt very helpful, responsive. Our family would have been better suited to a different property given the internet/bathroom restrictions but a decent overall home.

Lisa. We are very sorry that you feel your experience at the Lodge was a less than 5 star stay. Thank you for pointing out the home’s highlights, as our team does our very best to make sure the property has everything we think our guests could need, so we appreciate you mentioning them. And yes, we understand that internet connections in rural areas can be challenging, but we do have the best technology that was available to us and are excited to be offering Starlink to our guests in the very near future.

We had a great time relaxing with our kids and grandkids. Some of the highlights of the property included the open living spaces, ample outdoor seating with multiple patios, beautiful lake view and well equipped kitchen. We also really enjoyed the detached game room. The downstairs retreat space was a huge plus for my husband and I. As a caution for future renters you should be aware that access to the dock area is very steep. It may not be accessible to someone with a physical disability. The drawbacks we had included the steep access to the dock area, the noisy construction next door with a port-a-potty in full view of the back patio that stunk. The smell from it was so strong we had to close the downstairs windows The property manager worked to get it pumped. A huge safety concern was the nails sticking up out of the floating dock. When I mentioned this to the host twice, she said she was aware and that her husband would take care of it. This was not resolved by the end of our stay.

Thank you for taking the time to share both the positives and the concerns from your stay. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the spacious gathering areas, multiple patios, game room, well-equipped kitchen, and time spent with your family. We would like to clarify a few points for future guests. The property does have a primary dock for guest use. The floating dock mentioned in your review is an additional "seasonal" dock that would need to be scheduled for removal due for needed repairs. I, at no time said, he would come fix this, as there is not a way to fix it on site, as the screws need to all be dismantled offsite. No tug boat company would be available during your stay and it could not be removed. For that reason, we informed you before and during your stay that it was not to be used. My husband also came immediately to the property to ensure it remained secured and again advised everyone to stay off of it for safety. At no time was it intended for guest use and, this was relayed to you in person and in multiple messages. Regarding the neighboring construction, we understand that unexpected activity can impact a vacation. As soon as you notified us about the portable restroom, we took measures to find the contact information and immediately messaged the neighboring property owner, who had it serviced. We also checked with surrounding neighbors afterward, and they did not report any ongoing odor issues. The hillside leading to the waterfront is indeed steep, as many lake homes are, and we appreciate you mentioning that it may not be suitable for guests with mobility limitations. We strive to accurately represent the property’s terrain so guests can determine if it is the right fit for their group. We appreciate your feedback and are glad your family was able to create special memories together at the home. Also, one thing to note, for your future stays. If you or your guests break things in a rental home it is very important to let the owner or host know upon check out. It is much appreciated when guests do so and also when they respect owners posted rules and check in times and not arrive early. Best wishes you and your family.
