Thank you for staying with us and for your kind words about St. Augustine and the location. We want to respond to a few of your concerns so future guests have accurate information. Cleanliness: We were surprised to read this. Our family stayed in the condo just a couple of weeks before your arrival, and no other guests stayed between our visit and yours. While we were there, we deep cleaned the unit ourselves, including the furniture, tables, and floors. We take pride in keeping the condo in excellent condition for our guests. We also respond quickly whenever an issue is brought to our attention during a stay. Smoke: Our condo is strictly non-smoking, and we take that seriously. No one in our family smokes, and no one smoked in the unit during our stay or at any other time to our knowledge. In all our years of renting the condo, no guest has ever reported a smoke odor. Because the unit is in a shared building, it’s possible an odor drifted in from a neighboring unit or balcony. However, it did not come from inside our condo. Blender: The condo has always had a blender. We didn’t use it during our recent stay, so it’s possible a previous guest broke it or took it by mistake. We’ll make sure it’s replaced. Supplies: For each stay we provide a starter roll of paper towels and two trash bags per can, which is standard for vacation rentals. Since our minimum stay is five nights, most guests pick up additional supplies on their first grocery run. We were glad to be available throughout your stay and always appreciate feedback.

Thank you for your feedback. We are truly sorry your stay fell short of expectations — this is not the experience we want for our guests, and we take every concern seriously. We were especially concerned to read your comments about roaches, as this is the first time we have ever received this complaint in our years of hosting. While pest control for the building is handled regularly through the HOA, we have also taken additional steps on our end and have already scheduled multiple private treatments to ensure the unit is thoroughly addressed. The broken door handle and cookware have also been replaced. We are proud of this property and work hard to maintain it to a high standard. We hope guests can see from our overall record that this experience was an exception.
