Had a great time!
We had a great stay in our home away from home. It had everything we were looking for and more. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit to the Cherokee area.
Great location but home has poor hygiene
This house is in a great location and the property is adorable, but the home really needs some attention. The bathroom smells of urine and was filthy. I cleaned it upon arriving as best I could but there was not a lot of cleaning supplies in the home and I could not get rid of the urine odor. The bathroom rug is worn out. The carpet in the bedrooms is filthy and needs to be professionally cleaned. Both beds had nasty mattress pads. Bedroom furniture is really bad —- dresser drawer tracks are broken and drawers fall out. There is no where to put luggage. No hangers in closets or luggage racks. We needed to use the pullout sofa, and dirty linens were wadded up inside it. We had no pillow cases for pull out sofa. There were no extra linens in the cabin. This was really a problem because we had no water in the cabin on the night we arrived so we could not wash linens. The water was restored the next morning. The air conditioning was not working well and the cabin smelled stale... I cleaned the window unit filters myself. They were gross! Owners of this cabin could spend a little time and money on it and have a really nice place, plus they need to keep it clean on a regular basis and prepare for guests. It would just take some elbow grease, a little paint, some updated furniture, and the desire to accommodate guests and keep them coming back. The owner indicated he would refund us for the first night when we had no water, but he did not. I would not return to this or any properties owned by this owner for fear that they would be in similar condition.
Great little cabin! We loved it!
We will be back!
The cabin was perfect for me. Secluded feel to it, but not in BFE either. I hope I’m blessed enough to return to this cabin again one day. Thanks!
Thank You. Hope you get to come back soon.
Extremely relaxing, and quiet. A wonderful get away!
We loved it. Very homey and relaxing with beautiful views. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our anniversary. It seemed to be away from everything but really everything was only 5 min. away. We will definitely be returning.
thanks for your kind words. Look forward too having you back again.
Smoky Mountain National Park on the north side of Cherokee is one of the most visited parks in the US. Lots of hiking trails around Check out the pioneer village and visitor center at the park entrance, and Mingus Mill, an old working grist mill, just past the visitor center on the left. Kids will love tubing on Deep Creek, just a mile behind Bryson City. Catch a ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, or go whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River.
