This memorable cabin is the perfect home base for your trip to Minocqua. Nestled in a serene setting, this lovely retreat offers a marvelous escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With 2 cozy bedrooms featuring a queen bed in bedroom 1 with A tv and a queen bed with a tv and pack man game in bedroom2 The living room also has futon . It’s ideal for small families seeking a peaceful getaway. Relax and unwind in the amazing surroundings, and take advantage of the provided amenities like WiFi, window AC units and a washing machine. Whether you're exploring the nearby nature trails like the Bearskin trail or simply enjoying quality time indoors, this cabin promises a delightful stay. We're happy to assist with any questions while you stay at our cabin.The cabin is located on its own lot and has its own dock . It’s a shared driveway and big house / owner and owners friends and family sometimes stay here . Hill Lake has NO boat launch and is a trolling lake . You can’t bring a boat but could use our row boat and bring your own trolling motor. We provide kayaks, paddle boards and a row boat. You will need to use fireplaces as heat source . We purchased the property a few years ago from Richard Marx the singer.This lake is very fun and very peaceful . 2 dogs are welcome we have a small fenced yard for them

This is the quintessential up north cabin. We were able to enjoy all of the lake activities. The location is perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at Casey cabin with our dog Maggie. Cabin is as described, small and rustic but has everything you need and was very clean. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch or out by the lake kayaking. Our dog loved playing in the water and chasing chipmunks. Our host was very communicative and answered all my questions. There is a wooded area on one side of the cabin offering a lot of privacy and we saw all kinds of birds including a Barred owl and a Pileated Woodpecker. Thanks for a great place to stay!

Great spot to unwind. Very clean and well stocked. Would be great to have a bit more light in the kitchen when doing dishes/cooking, but otherwise a thumbs up from me.Perfect set-up for my wee dog. Got a chuckle while listening to Rick Springfield on the turn table. First time paddle boarding for my daughter, and first kayak ride for the pup. We saw a bald Eagle, baby Loon, and otters on Hill Lake.Cheryl checked in regularly which was very gracious.

The property is lovely -- wooded, with a gentle slope to the shore. The lake is small and quiet; we don't fish, so I can't comment on that. The bottom is not sand, but still swimmable, and kayaks were provided.The cabin itself is small but well appointed. The AC was especially welcome, as the week we were there, the area had heavy smoke from Minnesota and Canada wildfires. The internet is great, so my "workcation" worked out perfectly. The screened porch is also perfect, with great air flow and a wonderful view of the lake. The bathroom is tiny, but the shower has great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The refrigerator is not full size, so we had to make a few extra runs to the store (nearby) rather than stocking up all at once. The only small disappointment was the road noise from highway 70, which was louder than I'd expected. All in all, though, a wonderful stay!

Wonderful Summertime cottage

The host provided everything needed for our stay. We enjoyed our visit and the location is ideal. The cottage met all our expectations. The weather did not. Great rental.

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

My wife and I took advantage of a weekend away in the north woods. This cabin was everything we needed- we loved the rainy Friday eve listening to vinyl records on the old turn table. The location was perfect; have to try Northfolk Fin & Filet for dinner. Owner was very communicative and made sure we were enjoying our stay. Def would book again!

Wonderful experience

This cabin was fully stocked of anything you would/could have at your own home. Caught many bluegill fish, took out the kayak, beautiful lake. Cabin was clean cool and centrally located for our needs. Definitely will stay here again!! 5 stars!!

Best Spot on Quiet Lake

There were so many little touches to this property which made this stay so restorative - everything was thought about! Ideal location on the lake - kids can kayak & swim, and the prevailing wind blows them back onto the property when they no longer want to paddle. Quiet, restful, and postcard perfect views of a serene and lake, which was neither too big nor too small. If you have a bad back like me, you may want to bring appropriate support for the bed. The enclosed dog run was a plus.

Wonderful Stay

We very much enjoyed our stay. This was a return stay since we stayed here last year, had a great time, and looked forward to returning. The cabin is rustic, has all we needed, and views all around are amazing. The owners made the smaller kitchen very cute with their decor and provided all needed. The weather did not cooperate as much as we hoped but the activities the hosts offer made a wonderful difference (i.e., board games, movie options on large screen tv). It is easy to explore downtown Minocqua in the rain. When it did not rain, we took the kayak and paddle boards on the lake. One family member had fun fishing in the lake. We also took advantage of the bikes provided and explored the surrounding area. This property is very serene and peaceful as well as private. Such a great place to decompress and relax. Our evenings were cooler so it was very comfortable making s'mores with the outdoor fire pit, and we used the indoor fireplace for heat. The two bedrooms with a total of four beds were perfect for us. Groceries are a very short drive from the cabin as are restaurants. We found parking in town to be relatively easy. Minocqua and surrounding areas offer many options for hiking. The hosts were very responsive to my e-mailed question. We had such a good time that we plan to stay at this cabin again.

Why they chose this property

It’s close to town but yet it doesn’t feel like it because you’re in the woods . Close to the zoo.and Walmart isn’t far either.

What makes this property unique

We purchased the property from Richard Marx the singer . He spent his childhood vacations at the small cabin . He had the big house next to the cabin built for his father . His dad use to stock the lake It’s a very unique property . Nothing like it . It’s very peaceful and the lake is clean and nice to swim in or paddle board .
