Lake house

Great place to stay. Loved the lake. The kids could hang out on the dock and swim all day. Nice quit neighborhood to enjoy family and relax.

Family vacation

This is the second time we have stayed here. Our family loves the lake and everyone is friendly. There was a lot of fishing, 4 pound bass was the winner! The guys went golfing and we all tried mini golf. We brought our kayaks but there are some there for you to enjoy! Perfect relaxing meals on porch. It was an all around great vacation!

Amazing stay

Where do I even start. This lake house was so cute. Clean and comfortable. The decor was cute, and the lake access was amazing. We used the Kayaks a few times and swam almost every day we were there. The neighbors were friendly and waved as they boated on by us on our little floats in the lake. There were plenty of dishes and kitchen supplies including a cabinet full of spices and other odds and ends stuff. The shower had great pressure, and having 2 bathrooms with 5 people was a plus. We were close enough to the highway for easy access to go traveling, but we never felt like it was anywhere near us while we were at the house or on the lake. I would say that if you prefer a softer bed, the Full sized one in the "mother-in-law" area was softer than the main Queen bed. My 14-year-old loved sleeping on the Futon in the sunroom and waking up to the incredible lake view every morning. Also, if you didn't know, Massachusetts has 36 unique spider species. I swear we saw them all outside the house, but that is to be expected in an area like this. We left most of them alone and they left us alone. I only reached out to the owner once to ask a question, but her response was timely and friendly. This was our first trip to New England, and we can't wait to visit the area again. Thank you so much for such an amazing place to stay!

So relaxing !

Place was very clean. Had everything we needed. we only left twice to get dinner. Views were amazing, beds were very comfortable. The dock and deck were really nice and private and comfortable ! We had a lovely week kayaking and tanning and playing games. We brought our own fire stick and switch for games and movies but there is a Roku there to sign into your streaming services. Wi-Fi was really good. Priced very well for a house right on the lake with its own dock and deck. The host was very responsive and friendly!

Quiet Holiday

Everyone in the neighborhood was kind and courteous. The house is nice and met our needs. There are some updates with nice carpet and appliances and also a few areas whoch may benefit from some TLC when time allows. The porch, with lots of windows facing the water, was a nice bonus as was the large dock. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the ability to stay for a week.

Nice location on the lake

We enjoyed fishing almost every day. Took the kayaks and pedal boat out a few times. Relaxing and refreshing. Negatives: Bedrooms were small. Tap water had a funky smell. Porch windows need to be cleaned and lots of spiders out there.

When we bought this house, we were from an ocean community in MA, and while we knew we wanted a home on the water, we decided hurricanes, erosion and maintenance were deterrents to buying on the ocean. We began to spend time away on lakes in New York, Vermont and New Hampshire and finally decided we did not want to travel hours to our get-away, so we started looking closer to home. During this journey, we learned a great deal about the importance of being on a healthy lake, and we were enamored with Hamilton Reservoir -- even in the off-season. We love the fact that the lake is fully recreational, year-round. We especially enjoy the Sturbridge, Brimfield area, and most of all, we enjoy being out of the mainstream, yet 10 minutes to fine dining, cinemas, shopping and Old Sturbridge Village for that rainy day. Oh, did I mention that fishing is a family hobby?

We enjoy sitting in our 3-season sun room overlooking the lake, as well as the beautiful view from our kitchen and living room. The outdoor, two-tiered patio was a huge draw for us, since this spot is all about outdoor living. The large picnic table is under the sun room, which allows for dining outside in the shade, and the small table for four on the patio is perfectly situated right on the water -- complete with swivel chairs, so you won't miss any of the activity! We also have a lakefront fire pit for evening fun.
