This is a well run, well maintained small but comfortable home in a nice quiet neighborhood so close to Lake Ontario. We’ve rented many times and will continue to for guests visiting from out of town. Excellent management !!

This is a very family (kids) friendly home. My grandkids enjoyed it a lot. Also pet friendly. My dog loved running in the fenced yard with the kids. We took walks to the lake every day. The neighborhood is very safe. I actually grew up very close to the house.

We will not stay here again. Supplies like garbage bags, dishwasher soap, towels were for one or two days we were there for seven days. Unable to use good toilet paper because of pluming issue, blew the circuit breaker because microwave and coffee maker was an electric issue. If another visitor was honest on review we would have stayed somewhere else.

Hi Marilyn, sorry to hear about the supply issues...I wish you had reached out and we would have been happy to get you more supplies. We stock the house with coffee, condiments, soaps, lotions, dishes, spices and many items not typically found in many rentals. Maybe you missed the towels downstairs, but we stock 2 towels per person. On the electric, I understand that can be frustrating - the city required updated breakers, and we had to comply. They are very sensitive and it is true that if you run the micro, the coffeemaker, and the AC at the same time, it sometimes trips the breaker. Luckily, it just takes a simple reset...but sorry this was a hassle for you. We have dozens of guests each year, including return guests, and we appreciate their honest reviews! Best wishes.

Fun Family/Working Trip

Great little house close to Lake Ontario. Check in/out process was smooth and simple, the property was warm, inviting, clean, and entertaining for the family. Couldn't have asked for a better home away from home while vacationing and taking care of some business.

Great Place

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean with comfy beds. My dogs really enjoyed the fenced backyard while I worked from the kitchen table. Schallers, Abbotts, and the beach were all within a stone’s throw - location was excellent. Can’t wait to stay here again next summer.

Rochester

Stayed briefly while my significant other had surgery at Strong. The area was very nice. Felt safe. My dogs enjoyed the back yard. We also went to see Lake Ontario and it was very fun!

My two friends & I found this property exceeded our expectations in location, cleanliness, beautiful decor & furnishings and general comfort! Adequate towels and extra pillows and blankets, shower & hand soaps, etc. were provided as well as K-cups and condiments you never seem to remember to pack! It has a lovely back yard and tables to sit with BarBQ which sadly, we didn't have time to enjoy! I was ( personally)surprised that the two baths were on different levels, but I may have misread the description. All bedrooms are on the main level. There is a fully finished basement, but I'm not able to go up & down many steps, so I personally did not see the basement level, however, my one friend assured me the game room, bar area and walk in full bath where very nice! We were gone most of the time of our short stay and wished we had more time to enjoy there. I would recommend a hand rail to the steps into the home and for the first few steps leading to the lower level and back door and at least one more mirror, in the hallway or one in each bedrooms, as only one mirror in the bathroom(s). Overall, we felt safe and comfortable and would highly recommend this rental or visit again! Our sincere thanks to the host!

Immaculate, cute

The house was very clean, fenced worked great for our 9lb dog, any smaller and the dog would need constant attention. House was nicely decorated. Game over and bar downstairs. Nest thermostat went too hot at night. Easy check in. Great new patio where we spent afternoons and early evenings. Great area quick one block walk to the lake , 5 minute drive to Ontario beach park, lighthouse and marina.

We stayed at this cozy house for 10 days and loved the neighborhood. It’s a quiet area but very easy to get to so many places and back on the highways quickly if needed. It’s a very close and an easy walk to a small beach area. The fenced in yard was also lovely. There are lots of great things to do in the area within a 20-30 minute drive like the STRONG museum, great restaurants, and a bigger beach area less than 2 minutes away. The house could have been cleaner with quite a bit of dust and cobwebs in the house. The toaster was left with crumbs on top and dog yard was not clean from previous guests. The WiFi is very spotty and dropped often during our stay which left for streaming videos on the Roku challenging for the kids. Overall it is a great area, the house is cozy and probably best for smaller families. We greatly appreciated the kindness of the host for a small appliance challenge we faced which even though she was abroad, she fixed within hours. It’s worth the stay but know you’re going to be very cozy with your family or friends.

Everything was great with the house. Location was beautiful and convenient to stores and restaurants. My only suggestions would be a tea kettle and blinds or blackout curtains in all bedrooms. We would definitely stay there again when we visit our family. Thank you!

I live just two blocks away, this is a great neighborhood by the lake. There is a lot to do at the pier, the port, good restaurants, walking the neighborhood .

Our stay was wonderful. The listing is just as advertised. The owner is very responsive and super helpful and kind. We go to Rochester every year and if available next year will hopefully be able to book this location. Can’t say enough good things!

Charming Lake House

This was a really cute, clean house and everything was brand new. Close to a lot of fun places to visit within 10 minutes - my son and I visited the zoo, the pier, and found a great place for food and drinks at hose 22. Our dog loved the big yard - we hope to come back on our next trip.
