Con siete dormitorios y seis niveles de espacio de vida, la privacidad no es un problema. The home is in a great location to access the slopes. The hot tub was hot. The woodstove/fire place is amazing on cold days - they even deliver more wood if you need it!

We had a great time and skied everyday!! Very easy slope access and wonderful big living room!! The kids loved the room with the pool table and it was so nice having such a huge table for our big group dinners! The beds were not very comfortable but that was our only issue.

Great house close to salamander. Hot tub did not have enough chlorine or any at all. We could not use it after the 3rd night due to the fishy smell and green water.

Family Getaway in Canaan Valley

We had 3 generations and 16 people gathered in this spacious house and really enjoyed the useful space, large-screen TVs, and good wi-fi connection. The outdoor kitchen had a quality grill which needed some TLC to get up and running, but we cooked some great food on it. Bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and linens were clean and fresh. We did do some extra cleanup on the outdoor kitchen and garage spaces. Overall, we found the place a perfect fit for our family "home base" as we explored trails and waterfalls in the area.

The furnishings were nice with plenty of seating, multiple TV rooms, and the pool table was a special hit. The house was generally well maintained. My only complaint is that the harder to reach places could use some cleaning. Moving couches to gather around a table for games revealed dirt hiding underneath. The ceiling fans and walls high up in the main room were quite dusty. The property management representatives were extremely helpful and responsive.

This is a large home with lots of space for large groups. it also has a very good location off of Salamander "green trail". Best Of Canaan is always friendly and professional as a management group. All in all this is a great vacation home. The only things I woudl point out is that there is a hill that you neded to walk up to get to the slopes and it can be a little tough with tiny children or elderly. other than that the couches need to be replaced, badly. they are worn and pretty bad and look 20 + years old. other than this it is a great house for big groups and shoudl be enjoyed by many.

Wonderful Stay in Wild and Wonderful West Virginia

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay at Cassa Nova in May. The house is beautiful and very large. All 14 of us had a great time and there was more than enough space for everyone to relax, eat, and sleep. The house has a beautiful kitchen and dining room that sat everyone in our group. Donna with the management company was a true pleasure to work with and was able to give lots of advice about area. The only disappoint about our trip was that it wasn't long enough. I wish we could have spent 5-7 days so that we could have enjoyed more of the spring/summer activities available in the area. The hikes we did at Blackwater offered breathtaking views. The location next to the slopes of Timberline make it clear that this would also be a great winter destination. We hope to be back this winter (and probably next summer too!).

Fantastic Ski Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was nearly perfect. If I had to complain, it would be 2 things. Pots and pans in the house are not adequate for cooking for 16 people. 2 we couldn't find thermostats (but we were comfortable for the most part). That's it! very short complaint list. Now on to the good stuff. Great open main area, great bedrooms/bathrooms, parking for 5 vehicles even (with the use of the attached garage). The best part is the easy walk to the green run across the gravel road. It is hard to put a dollar figure on the convenience of being able to take a break at your house instead of at the lodge.

Long weekend in the fall

Reviewer Comments: Great weekend- minor tweaks could of made the house amazing: While clean, it seemed like the sheets, etc had been out for a while- giving the whole place a bit of a musty smell. The mattresses are awful and do smell kind of stale and that transferred to the sheets- had to re-wash before use. Kitchen and appliances are great- plenty of serviceware and utinsels. While the house has big nice TVs, the owners have given up a cable box so you have HD tvs and no HDTV service (fine for the most part but not for games or rainy days). The rental company is amazing and very responsive- offered to come address our concerns but for our needs, we were happy. It looks like the owners are trying to sell the house so they have tried to cut costs on the amenities that are needed in a high-end rental like this one.

Pros and cons of Cassa Nova

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have mixed feelings about our stay at Cassa Nova in the past week. The layout and size of the house were perfect. Plenty of room for our 14 guests. Lots of bathrooms and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans. But the air conditioning was not able to keep the house comfortable during the day despite repeated calls to the office and having a repair man look at the unit twice. The thermostat is in a closet which could be part of the problem. The other negative is the exterior spaces. There is no large outdoor area where everyone can sit and there are not nearly enough chairs. The picture of the grill area shows a picnic table but that was not there. There were no chairs in the hot tub area and only two plastic outdoor chairs on the small (largest) deck off the main living area. Very disappointing that we were not able to enjoy the breeze outdoors in the evening. The house location is also on a very steep street and there was no where to enjoy a walk from the house. Linens were provided but they were old and stained (but I believe they were clean). Many guests complained of uncomfortable beds.

We had minor maintenance issues with the basement heat and upstairs toilet, and the furniture is worn, but overall it's a good place.

Great house layout for multiple families. But overall, needs a thorough cleaning. Furniture needs updating, specifically couches, are gross. Dryer took three to four cycles to dry anything. So plan on hours for a load. The first three days we froze, like couldn't get the house temperature out of the 50s. On day three we had no hot water, they came and fixed and whatever the issue was was affecting the heat as well.
