Amazing stay in Iceland - the property was spacious and perfect for our whole family, with a large area on the main level to relax after a day of exploring, game room and a relaxing hot tub. The travel guide and chef recommendations were excellent and made the trip even better - strongly encourage for those that are use to doing it themselves. Highly recommend for large groups or family.

Fabulous house

The place was as advertised with more all kinds of extra towels, kitchen needs, toilet paper, coffee, and trash bags. We had an extended family trip with space and seating for everyone!

Unforgettable Stay!!

This was the perfect place to bring our family to celebrate our wedding and check out the area. We had 15 people and all groups had privacy and comfort, with beautiful common areas to share. Signy was a pleasure to work with, quick to respond, connecting us with a top notch chef for our private reception dinner and helicopter service from Reykjavik to the lodge including a stop on top of a glacier! Grateful we chose this incredible location.

Wonderful celebration

Our group had a fantastic stay over New Years! The house is spacious and the common areas are extremely well designed for a large gathering, with everything you need provided. Signy was incredibly helpful, and also put us in touch with a fantastic chef and tour guide for our stay.

Super clean, great host

We were able to see the Northern Lights from the hot tub while using a phone app to track most likely visible times and heading out to the hot tub. The house exceeded my expectations and an extremely helpful host. I hope to return.

Beautiful House.

This house is a wonderful retreat for anyone interested in visiting the Golden Circle. It was luxurious and clean and we enjoyed all of its many amenities. We cannot recommend it enough! The chef’s dinner was delicious and the hosts were very gracious and responsive. Thank you Signy and Sigyn for a wonderful stay at your beautiful house.

Amazing retreat house in the heart of Iceland.

Our group of 10 spent the week at this property for our annual business retreat. We travel internationally every year for our meeting and this was hands down the best experience we've ever had. The house was huge, well appointed and private. The game room was great and the spa amenities were amazing. Like having a professional hotel spa in your house! The owner was very helpful with recommendations for great restaurants and activities and everyone associated with this house that we interacted with was top notch. I couldn't recommend this property more - 5 stars is not enough.

Amazing property to enjoy the gorgeous Golden Circle

We had four generations staying in this extremely comfortable house. From the hot tub and fire pit to the sound system and game room to the spa and fitness center, there was truly something for everyone to enjoy! Location is perfect to enjoy Iceland's beauty and activities. Host was very responsive and helpful. Even provided introduction to a private chef, which proved to be helpful and delicious. Fine dining at the VRBO after an action-packed day can't be beat. Although the property feels very remote, it is also convenient to grocery stores and restaurants in Selfoss. Can't say enough great things about our whole experience here!

Our stay at this property was absolutely incredible—the house itself is simply beyond nice. Relaxing in the fantastic sauna and hot tub after long days of exploring was the perfect way to unwind. The host's local recommendations were spot-on; the private chef was a wonderful addition, and our guide, Teitur, couldn't have worked out better for showing us the very best of Iceland. To top it all off, my daughter got engaged during the trip! It was truly an unforgettable family vacation, and this beautiful property was the perfect home base. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Amazing

The property is great for a large group with plenty of space and bedrooms. The game room is perfect for hanging out. The location is really well situated for day excursions around the golden circle. We had some really good food catered for breakfast and dinner, ask Signy she will get you set up with the chef.

Perfect retreat for multi-generational family

This was a perfect place for our annual family trip bringing together 13 people across three generations. The house was every bit as good as advertised. Very well laid out, furnished and stocked. Bedrooms were spread out throughout the house making each room appropriately quiet. Kids loved the game room, and the hot tub and sauna were great after a day of hiking. Ideal location 60 minutes from Reykjavik, 20 minutes from Selfoss (grocery stores, restaurants, we loved the Old Dairy food hall), and centrally located for Golden Circle sights and lots of great activities like hiking and horseback riding. Property host was very responsive and helpful both before our stay and while we were at the property. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful property. It has everything you could want for a big group. And while we ran into a couple very minor issues, Signy was always available to help. She helped us so much in preparing for our stay, stocking special items, etc. Absolutely amazing.

Beautiful Home

We enjoyed this gorgeous home with a big group of friends for a 40th birthday trip. This house had everything, and it just keeps going and going! Every last detail was perfect, and Signy was a wonderful host. We rearranged our tour schedule so that we could be sure to spend more time relaxing in the house - it was so much more than just a place to sleep!

Spacious, lovely home in an excellent location

The house is all that is shown in the photographs and more. My family of 14 enjoyed this home so much that one day half of them stayed back from touring, so they could go into the sauna, use the workout room, play in the game room, and hang out in the spa. The kitchen is well equipped, but I would recommend getting a catered dinner or meal. Hilmar provided us with the most delicious evening buffet that appealed to all our taste buds. The location is perfect as it a short distance from many of the Golden Circle recommendations as well as the southern volcanoes, black beach, puffins, and glacier. And huge kudos to the staff. The home was spotless when we arrived, and they were immediately available for any questions or concerns we had before and while we were there. Very attentive and professional. I would highly recommend this property. My family has said that this was their favorite vacation ever, and we have rented homes in Hawaii, Cancun, Austria, and Florida!

Confortable, Spacious and warm

This visit was a return to Iceland for my girlfriends 60th birthday party. The house is prefect for the days you need to stay in due to weather and a perfect place to return after a day of being a tourist. Signy was instrumental in helping us hire a chef and was able to stay at the house each evening for dinner which made the trip even more delightful. The initial hello from the owners with fresh coffee and snacks was a great way to say Welcome. I wont hesitate to rent this house again.

Unbelievable!!

We loved our stay at this lodge. The owners were there to greet us when we arrived, gave us a tour, and graciously provided a champagne toast to start our trip. The house was exceptionally well stocked with absolutely everything we needed from the warm robes, towels, shampoo, even basic supplies for cooking. The house was beautiful and well kept inside and out. We used the hot tub and built a fire in the fire pit every night. We played pool and ping pong while streaming music through the house-wide wifi. The rooms were comfortable and the location is perfect for day trips to various parks and the southern coast. We hired a chef to cook dinner for us two nights -- that was also a highlight. The gourmet kitchen made his job easy. Highly Highly recommend this property!!

Amazing property!!

The Lodge was simply amazing!! We were traveling with a family of 17 (ages 1-83) and the lodge was just perfect for all of us. Signy met us there and explained everything in the lodge and was the perfect host. Beds were all super comfortable and the amenities were just as described. If you need a big place for your Iceland vacation, this should be your 1st choice!! Iceland is a beautiful country and we had a fantastic vacation. Thanks Signy for letting us stay at you beautiful lodge!!

Superb holiday home

We were delighted with our stay at the lodge. There were 13 of us, (eight adults, four children and a baby,) and the lodge filled all our needs with lots of room to spare. It is very spacious, and very well equipped. The professional level kitchen was amazing, equipped with everything we needed including loads of cutlery and crockery, giant oven and two dishwashers. All the bedrooms are spacious, with comfortable king-size beds and windows with great views. Some rooms don’t have a lot of space to put clothes away, but other than that the rooms are really well equipped. Everything is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The main lounge has a large comfortable seating area, and a big dining room table that seated our group easily. There is another smaller table that can be joined for really big groups. Downstairs there is a games room with billiards, ping pong, foozball and more. We had good weather for much of our stay, and made a lot of use of the outdoor space. The patio has another table and a number of comfortable chairs, where we usually took our morning espresso. The hot tub and the fire pit were great places to gather in the evening, and were especially nice when the weather turned a bit cooler. The lodge is very well positioned in beautiful rolling countryside. It is surrounded by gentle hills covered in heather, and as our children discovered, full of blueberries. The nearby town of Selfoss has good supermarkets, so we stocked up on our way to the lodge, and also had a good meal there at the modestly priced Surf and Turf. The children enjoyed a visit to the Selfoss warm water public swimming pool (both indoor and outdoor). The lodge is within easy reach of many Golden Circle attractions and we enjoyed visits to the original Geyser, the Gullfoss waterfall, the Thingvallir National Park, and the black sand beaches around Vik. Signy and her sister Sigyn were wonderful to deal with, and made everything easy. We highly recommend Ulfljotsskali.

We stayed in this home in early November for a wellness/yoga retreat with 16 women. The owners (sisters) could not have been more helpful during the planning process. Emails were returned promptly and all questions (and there were many) were answered. They absolutely went above and beyond. The house was incredible and perfect for our group. The game room area was a perfect spot for us to do yoga. The house had so many amenities, was very clean, lovely decor, warm and comfortable. We hired a local chef that the owners recommended and the food was really good. This house will not disappoint!

Perfect!!!

As a group of 18, we spent a full week at this Lodge. The home was immaculate. It had every amenity we could have desired and it very comfortably accommodated our large group. The property was gorgeous and sitting outside in the massive hot tube while watching the Northern Lights was an unforgettable experience. The owners were extremely friendly and easy to deal with. All correspondence was returned promptly and they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here.
