Beautiful 1 1/2 acre island 5 minutes from marina and 5 minutes to Ojibway Club. The north facing 2 docks have a swim ladder and room for at least 3 boats. Take the canoe out on the quiet back bay or lounge on the dock and enjoy the evening light. The sun room has a panoramic view from the sun/moon rise in the east to the evening sky's in the north west with screens all around to let in the Georgian Bay breeze. Sun room has a little breakfast/bar area and a table for dining, socialising or playing board games. The kitchen has full sized appliances and all the tools needed to prepare delicious cottage dinners.There is another eating area in the living room. The living room has plenty of seating, fantastic view and a 42" flat screen satellite TV. There is an air conditioner for the especially hot days of summer and a woodstove for the cooler days in spring and fall.The bathroom has a tub /shower combination. The three bedrooms all have new bedding and new mattresses. The bedrooms are small and cosy. One has a queen bed, one has two singles that can also be made into a king and the third has a bunk bed. There is a large new deck that boasts a small outdoor dining set with umbrella and a variety of outdoor seating including two loungers. The deck has a gorgeous view and is a good place to relax, enjoy a cocktail and watch the passing boats. It is a rocky island with plenty of room to explore and observe the wildlife. Motor boat is not included but there are several marinas that rent boats or provide water taxi services. Shore parking for one vehicle is included and additional parking is available. This island getaway is great for families, though smaller children will need closer supervision being we are on the rocks and surrounded by water. It would also suit as a romantic hideaway or home base for a week or two of fishing with the boys, or gals or both!
Rocky shoreline, North and east has more open water and south is marsh with reeds and south east has a large quiet bay.
Parry Sound is south, 40 minutes from the marina and Sudbury is north approximately 1 and 1/2 hours and boasts The Big Nickel, Science North and much more. The Ojibway Club on an Island 5 minutes by boat has a grocery store, snack bar, hiking trail and gift shop. Point au Baril Station has a general store accessible by boat. Also a variety of eating establishments, gas station and LCBO. The local community center has dinners with live entertainment 4 times in the summer and there is a big Lobsterfest. Parry Sound has the Festival of the Sound all summer long. There are several upscale restaurants within 40 minutes drive.
