Luxury Mountain Retreat!!!

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have loved It's About Time more!! Starting from the gracious owner who was wonderful to work with and responsive to all questions! The experience of the cabin starts with the road leading up to it- It is a beautiful & secluded road that is surrounded by a creek and beautiful landscaping! Then you see this stunning cabin at the top and we couldn't believe how gorgeous it was in person! The pictures do not do this home justice-it is breathtaking!!! The inside is luxury living at its finest! It has everything you could need and then some! The kitchen is a dream, and well stocked!! The windows in the main living area have views that will take your breath away! The fireplace in the main living area is just stunning! The outdoor fireplace is wonderful and the views are amazing! Not another cabin in sight! We spent Easter here and had the best Easter egg hunt with the kids along the creek!! We all loved exploring the pristine grounds, going on hikes, and seeing all the wildlife! You truly do not need to leave - and you will not want to! We made memories that will last a lifetime at It's About Time! Thank you George for sharing your lovely home with us and for making us feel so welcomed! We will definitely be back!!

Gracious host, breathtaking home and views - It's About Time!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at this home in February. I've been vacationing and renting homes and cabins in the surrounding area for the last 8 years and I will honestly say that this home has far exceeded any expectations of my guests and I! Every bed and square inch of the home was comfortable and immaculate! George was very gracious and helpful with directions and recommendations! Loved the tranquil, private location nestled in a valley without another rooftop in site! From hiking the mountains around and watching the sunset with views for miles to waking on the back deck with a fire in the outdoor fireplace and watching deer and other wildlife gather in the field, this home is absolutely breathtaking! Because this home is so secluded and private we were glad to have 4wd vehicles. The driveway appears to be well maintained with gravel but with lots of rain it became a little slick so 4wd came in handy for safety and preservation of the driveway! Happy to have found such a gem! Already looking forward to a return visit and this will be my first go to option! It's about time!

Peaceful and beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this wonderful home while my daughter was getting married at a Vineyard nearby. Jacuzzi tub in master bedroom was wonderful, and everyone enjoy the separation that the bedrooms offered. Kitchen was perfect, but would recommend a wine opener! Views from the living room were breathtaking. We had planned to host a breakfast brunch at the home the day after the wedding, and while the house would have accommodated bigger numbers no problem, we decided against it because of the drive up. It's kind of a destination place, as the drive wouldn't accommodate two cars passing at the same time and rain made it pretty tricky to not get stuck. We enjoyed the nature...views are incredible, and a bear, turkeys, deer, and a visiting Husky dog made it extra special! Thanks for a fabulous place to rest and recuperate!

Girls Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had so much fun in this home. It's beautiful and very spacious. The bathrooms are so nice. The kitchen is a pleasure to cook in. The views cannot be beat. Especially when you get to see a black bear on the driveway!! I contacted George so much during our stay for one thing or another (no issues) that I joked to the other guests that he was my new best friend. He was really great to work with. We plan to stay here again next year!

Rustic and luxurious the perfect combination

  • 5 of 5

Great location, very secluded and relaxing but only 20 minutes away from downtown Boone. Renter was very accommodating and friendly. The house provides an awesome view and has the traditional rustic mountain house feel but with updated luxurious AMENITIES in the kitchen and bathrooms. Already thinking When I might be able to get back and rent the house again! Great house and experience.
