Enjoy mountain beauty!

Ski season is over, but the fun is just beginning at our Happy Home. Enjoy sunny days and cool evenings, hiking, biking, fishing, and just hanging out in the beautiful Smokies.
Our house has all the amenities an extended family needs: games, multiple entertainment systems, foosball, fully stocked kitchen, high speed wifi, fireplace, and beautiful scenery.
You'll see deer for sure, and if you're lucky, you'll see bears, skunks, birds, and other animals.
And don't forget your fur babies are welcome here too!

Great place to stay and spend time together as a family. Loved how pet friendly the place was. All the fur babies loved it there and the kids loved it to.

Spontaneous family getaway

Enjoyed our last minute, long Fourth of July weekend! Brought our four kids dog. House was spacious and in a beautiful community. I felt safe walking alone and letting kids play outside while I enjoyed my coffee! Lots of trails and exploring in the community.Location was just an hour from tweetsie railroad and Buckeye Lake was perfect for a short waterfall hike with four young kids.Elaine was easy to communicate with and shared tons of recommendations for nearby grocery, hikes, and firework! We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here at Beech Mountain.

Great Location on Beech

What a nice neighborhood and property. Deer are a-plenty, hot tub is hot and fireplace is nice. Large, well stocked kitchen. The upstairs loft gets real warm as all upstairs lofts do and the downstairs is cold so put your people that like it cooler downstairs. Very cool video game system and other gaming stuff. Great place for kids/teens. If it has been snowing, beware of an icy steep driveway. They did salt the road out front eventually but it was pretty icy when we arrived after a cold front and recent snowfall. Most of it was gone though by the time we left a few days later. Great value for all that you get. Close to Beech Mtn and not far from Blowing Rock and Sugar Mtn.

Week-long Mountain Getaway

This is a beautiful and spacious home with wonderful amenities that our friends and family enjoyed during our week-long stay in Beech Mountain. The kids particularly enjoyed the arcade, foosball table, and games and puzzles. The adults especially appreciated that the kids and adults each had spaces to relax and amuse themselves, the generous deck overlooking the woods, and the beautiful kitchen table that could fit our whole party of eight (which is not always the case in rentals). We enjoyed exploring several nearby hiking trails and parks and went on a few farther-away adventures. We saw many deer, and a couple of bears and salamanders. We'd definitely come back again!

Fun weekend trip!

This home is perfect for a group of 7 and a dog or more (that's all we had). The kids had a blast picking out where they were each sleeping. Between the beauty of nature and the arcade in the lowest level, this house was exactly what we needed. There was plenty of entertainment and room for all. We hope to come back to this beautiful home again. We really appreciated the perfect spot to relax and stay cool!

Family Time

A great house to spend time with family. Plenty of things to do and enough bedrooms for everyone to sleep. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub. We Loved seeing all the wildlife, including the deer and the bear.

Beautiful home for a cozy, family vacation!!

We stayed at this gorgeous home on Beech Mountain and had an amazing time! Our dogs loved the daily hikes, we loved the coziness of the cabin and our son REALLY loved the video games downstairs! The owner was sweet, extremely helpful and it’s nice staying in a home that you can tell has been well loved. Fantastic home and we’re so glad we found this place for our vacation!!

80's weekend at Beech Mountain!

Really enjoyed our traditional 80's weekend trip to Beech Mountain to visit with friends and listen to the band Cassette Rewind. Some of our Children came up from Clemson and got to enjoy the weekend with us. The house was awesome. Very accommodating. We stayed at the same house five years ago. We will keep it on our list for future trips to Beech. Thank you!

Family ski trip

We usually stay at a different VRBO down the road but it was booked. This was the first here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The owner is very responsive with any emails I sent. The teens enjoyed the game room and I enjoyed watching all the deer.

Family Vacation

Our Christmas family vacation was Awesome. The cabin is perfect for all ages and everyone had enough space to chill. It snowed which was an added bonus. Also the deer were amazing. We loved feeding them. Great location.

Great ski vacation

Charming cabin feel with several amenities such as games and arcade machine. Close to Beech Mountain ski resort. Enjoyed the setting and seeing lots of deer. Four wheel drive recommended in winter as roads in neighborhood can be snow covered. Very well suited for our dogs. Would definitely choose it again.

The place is gorgeous! Literally has everything you need or want on a vacation in the mountains. The kids really liked the arcade table. My favorite was all the deer. Day and night. I could sit and watch them for hours. We had snow the first night!! So beautiful. We will be back. Thank you. The Garlands

The house was perfect for our party of nine! The kitchen was well stocked and the bedroom set up accommodated us all very comfortably. We would definitely rent this place again!

Cozy Cabin in Great Location!

Our family of four + dog had a great weekend away in the mountains! This cabin is in a great location, less than a ten minute drive to restaurants and trails. I liked that it felt secluded enough to have privacy, but other houses around so you didn’t feel isolated. Zero issues with Wi-Fi and cell reception which is rare in the mountains! The cabin was very spacious for our family of four, and easily could’ve accommodated more people. Our kids loved the toys and foosball table in the basement. We loved looking out at all the deer from the back porch- there were 4 or 5 almost every time we looked! Tv had good streaming options and the kitchen was well equipped for making dinner one night (and we appreciated the sticks in the pantry for roasting marshmallows!) Nice touches included a dog bowl in the pantry, binder of nearby activities, toys/games/DVDs/books in the house, and Ugg blankets in the downstairs bedrooms for extra warmth. Overall it was a great place to stay and we’d happily return!

Beautiful Cabin, Home

Clean, Beautiful Cabin! Wonderful area, felt very safe! Kristi is excellent to communicate with, very kind and helpful! Had the best weekend! Got to go to Wolly Worm Festival which was so fun! Riding the Chair lift up on Beech Mountain to the Sky Bar was one of our favorites; Beautiful views! Would love to come back and stay here again.

We love western North Carolina. Linville Caverns, Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, what's not to love? The best thing about Beech Mountain is not just its proximity to so many fun activities, but the fact that there is dining, shopping, and entertainment on the top of the mountain itself!

Our cabin is nestled in the woods for lovely privacy as the trees leaf out. But a cute downtown area with shopping, a museum, and restaurants is just a 10 minutes drive away. The neighbors are a mix of permanent residents and vacationers. It's beautifully quiet, yet has all the perks of a small town: police, fire station, restaurants, parks, even a lovely recreation center at a lake.

This home is beautiful and clean, yet it's also pet friendly! The house has two great living areas so perfect for large families or vacation with multiple families. Interested in visiting the Land of Oz (September 6 -8, 20-22), Oktoberfest (Oct 12-13), or the Wooly Worm Festival (Oct 19-20)? Come stay at our house to enjoy them all!
