My wife and I have stayed here many times when we come to Lufkin for conferences. It’s clean, secluded and perfect for a couple. We will continue to stay here in the future. Try it, you won’t regret it.

Visiting the Piney Woods

I enjoyed a very nice stay at this efficiently layed out and located rental. It was great to do business with a former high school classmate. I got to visit with a lot of old friends while there. I hope the rental is available every time I visit Lufkin!

Wedding Anniversary getaway!

Wonderful property and rental. We enjoyed our stay and we’re very impressed with the hosts and their above and beyond hospitality. Room was very clean and comfortable and our stay was wonderful. Great place!

The efficiency was just like the the description and pictures. Has everything you need and is so comfortable. Nice welcoming touch with fresh muffins and snacks. The fire ring and patio would be great for cooler weather. Wish I could have spent more time here instead of working.

Great stay

We had a great stay at Windmill Hill. The place was clean and comfortable, and it had everything we needed for our trip. You can tell that Cal and Carolyn pay attention to every detail to make their guests feel welcome. Best banana bread waiting for us on arrival as well as many other extras and special touches. We loved chatting with Carolyn, and she provided great options on local things to do and places to explore while we were there. Sitting by the fire pit was our favorite way to relax at the end of the day. We hope to return next time we come to East Texas. Thank you again for your excellent accommodations and hospitality.

Cozy Stay at a Great Price

I had a fantastic stay & definitely plan on coming back. The outside property was beautiful & just outside of town to be relaxing & quiet. The room itself was very clean & cozy. Welcoming wine samplers & delicious banana nut bread were waiting for us when we checked in. Everything we needed was provided: Stand up shower, towels, comfy bed, clean fridge, coffee maker, coffee flavors, silverware, plates, cups & bowls. There was wifi that was blazingly fast as well as TV with plenty of channels. The hosts themselves were so helpful and kind, and were there if we needed them. Not only will I be back because I like supporting a local business rather than a big hotel chain, but the place was just beautiful, cozy and quiet.

My husband and I are both officially retired but not stopping. He retired from Fire Dept and I from retail management. We have been in the building industry for years, from metal buildings to homes. We now build houses to sell.
We designed and built our home after years of collecting and appreciating antiques. My things just did not go well in a regular home, so we built this dog run style home.
We lived in the little apt while we built our home, so I know I love it and hope you do too.
We have travelled all 50 states by motorcycle. Rented in Alaska and Hawaii. But actually rode our own for two weeks per summer to do the West, then East, then center of US. Its our love.
We also love our flower beds and entertaining when the weather provides.

Cal and Carolyns little apt stays booked up most of the year.We think you will love the little touches of the apt. I cannot think of a thing that you could need, that they have not tried to provide. It is quite and often they never see their guests once they go in. They are a little out so feels like the deep country, but close to activities so as not to miss out on great shopping and eating. We think you will love the laid back atmosphere.

Full kitchen with washer and dryer. Outdoor covered parking and patio area with propane gas grill, and charcoal grill and patio table. We also have a fire pit for you to enjoy when the weather allows. Better price an amenities than staying at a motel. We also enjoy helping you anyway we can. Lots of information on the Lufkin and surrounding areas.
