Enjoy our 3,600 square foot five bedroom three bathroom + outdoor shower Galveston Bermuda Beach home. Enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the beach and bay. Just steps from the beach [1 house back with direct side views], this end of the lane location assures private enjoyment of the beach while entertaining friends and family.

Beautiful sunset gulf beach views from three levels of floor to ceiling windows; including a 360 degree view from the unique above-the-roof enclosed air conditioned “crows nest” and outside sun-deck. Reverse floor plan, with elevator, sleeps up to 20, the beach home is perfect for inside air conditioned open living space entertaining,kitchen, dining, living and game room. Kitchen has granite countertops, table for 6 plus breakfast bar facing the beach. Dining room has seating for 12 with a folding table and chairs available for seating up to 20, game room table seats 6.

Over 2,000 square feet of south and west facing decks (1,000 feet shaded) with large gas BBQ grill on the ground level and seating for outside entertaining. Walkway to the beach is adjacent to the house.

This is an amazing house. I don’t think you could find a more perfect location. You probably walk 30 seconds and you’re on the beach. The layout of the house is open and was great for watching the football games.We brought my daughter and her friends for her 18th birthday. There were ample beds for all the girls and the adults to have their own bedrooms.We appreciated how much the owners provided us in the kitchen because we cooked every meal. You definitely have to bring your own ice! The outdoor furniture is great, even though we didn’t use it. The swing outside the master bedroom is a really nice touch.Bring your own beach chairs, though!But for any future weekends in Galveston, this house will be my #1 choice.

Wedding reception

The house was perfect for our small wedding reception and the elevator was extremely accommodating for our elderly guests and also for transporting everything we needed upstairs. The owners were very accommodating as well.

We really enjoyed our stay at this very convenient spacious beach house. With small children the elevator was very helpful in getting them up and down as well as our supplies. The beach is steps away and sitting out at night on the decks watching and hearing the waves was wonderful. We had no issues - everything is right there for a long beach weekend!

Great house for my Dad’s 95th birthday

Check in was awesome. We had two people on walkers staying, so having an elevator was important. The house is in a great location with wonderful beach views and fully stocked with what you need. Our only hitch was the elevator breaking on Saturday evening. We had to carry my dad down three flights of stairs. There was no one to look at it over the weekend and so we had to haul all our stuff down three flights of stairs on Sunday - not a big deal, but my sister had to be carried down. That was a real bummer. It’s a very nice house though.

Beautiful home with great ocean views

We chose this home for our family summer vacation. Highly recommend if you have a large family. The home was very clean and lots of little extras that made you feel like you were "home". We loved how close the beach was so that we could go back and forth easily. Kitchen had plenty of space to cook and serve food. The main floor is very large and was perfect all 17 of us to gather around for our game time in the evening. Decks were perfect for drinking morning coffee and watching the beautiful sunsets. The elevator was a blessing as it is hard for our 80 year old mom to navigate the stairs. Only problem was a/c shut off at 8:00ish the day we were set to leave. Got very hot very quickly as we packed. Not sure if it was an issue with the a/c or if it is set to do that on departure day but made the last 2 hours very uncomfortable. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home and we will definitely be back!

A group of 19 of us stayed at this property for a girl scout trip (10 kids, 9 adults). The space was perfect for our needs. It's close enough to the beach that kids/parents could pop out when they wanted, but the whole group didn't have to go. You can see kids playing on the beach from a number of spots throughout the house. There are so many different sleeping spaces that every family unit that attended was able to have their own quarters and a bunk room for a bigger group of kids. It's a 13 minute drive to the nearest grocery store, making it really convenient to cook and not have to go out. There were lots of beach towels provided by the house. There were a couple of things that we needed to pick up from Kroger, like dishwashing pods, laundry detergent, and paper towels, but this was no problem at all. All in all, we had a really excellent experience here and would certainly look to book again for a similar trip.

The Big, Blue House

The big, blue house was a great place for our family gathering. Forewarned that the coded front entry lock was intermittently reliable, we simply used the key. The elevator was a godsend! The kitchen was well fortified with everything we needed. The pantry shelves, cabinet shelves, and drawers could benefit from a deep clean. The large dining room table was perfect for the size of our family for meals, games, and art projects! The views from the third floor were beautiful. We had a wonderful time!

Easter Beach Stay and just a few feet away.

Amazing house and a beautiful view with a path that's just a few steps from the beach. All the amenities you need, big kitchen, plenty of rooms, minutes from convinience stores and an elevator to haul our luggage and get our over 90 grandfather to his floor. Room to Roam and Great Beach Location

This place has expansive space to spread out and relax, a useful and well-equipped large kitchen, and beautiful views from everywhere! We had one small hiccup with the keypad battery and the hosts and their local representative were quick to respond. We highly recommend this place!

Mar-Sea Shoals is Highly Recommended!

We had 15 family members ranging from 72 to 11 months. The elevator was wonderful for my 72 year old mother-in-law. We had a great time together and hanging out on the beach.

Fantastic House

We have been doing a family beach trip for 22 years now - this year there were 14 of us ranging in age from 1 to 75. Can’t say enough good things about the house. It is stocked way better than most houses, great bedrooms, plenty of space for everyone and having an elevator is amazing. The beach is a very short walk away - very clean and car free.

Another Great Stay at Mar-Sea Shoals!

This was our third time to stay in this home, and it did not disappoint! Large living areas, plenty of seating at the dining table, a full kitchen--the house has everything our large group needed for a getaway. The location is great, at the end of a quiet street with easy beach access and beautiful view of sunset. We were sad to see the signage for a new development planned for the green space next to the house but hopefully that will be a long time coming. We hope to back again next year!

We are Jeff and Leslie, retired professionals who love to travel and enjoy live. We have four homes (located in Galveston, TX, Northern Michigan - Petoskey, Southern CA - Ventura and a condo in NYC on the upper west side) all of our homes are set up as vacation rentals. We bounce between our homes based on seasons and rental schedules. During the summer we works as aquatic and waterfront directors at over-night youth summer camp in the Poconos.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this home as a place to bring our families together and create lifelong memories. Our two children and their spouses both live in the Houston area and both have two daughters, we rented a home in the historic section of Galveston for a couple of family weekends and decided it made sense to purchase a family home on the beach for weekends and holidays holiday get-togethers.

Often we have non Houston family members join us. The name of the house MarSea~Shoals is a play of both of our last names and since "mar" is sea in Spanish and a shoal is a sand bar and also "trouble" it seemed the perfect combination.

We hope our home will bring your family and friends together to create memories.
