About The Owner

Kim and Steve own the Konkapot Lodge in Bowler, WI and take pride in making your vacation a memorable experience. We love the peace, quiet and scenery of the north woods and know you will too.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2008

Why The Owner chose Bowler

We live across the field from 'Camp Okee-Dokee', and bought the property because we wanted to preserve the log home for family retreats. We opened for renting in the summer 2011.

What makes this cabin unique

If you have a crazy job and schedule and just need peace, quiet, and are content with star-filled evenings and watching wildlife--this is the perfect place. We've hosted many family gatherings there and there is plenty of space for everyone. Being together, playing games, reading, etc are all important, but if you also want gaming action or live entertainment, we are centrally located (within 16 miles) of three native owned casinos.

Located near three Indian Casinos. Also near the Mountain Bay Trail.

I am the coach of a high school cheer team from central il and we came to camp okee dokee for our end of the season trip. We truly could NOT have picked a better place! The girls and us coaches had a blast! We ended up coming to the first snow as well and the snow was just an absolutely breathtaking view from the cabin. We will most likely return in our separate families.

Quiet & Relaxing Getaway

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay here. Truly wish we would have planned on staying a little longer. Really loved sitting out on the desk just listening to nature and enjoying the scenery. The bedrooms were set up wonderfully with very comfortable beds and great pillows. We look forward to coming back again.

Not clean

  • 1 of 5

Lots of issues... 1 roll garbage bags or directions for disposal...3 full rolls and 3 part rills of tp for 8 adults for 7 days...dirty linens on bed (actually bloody)...dirty dishes... we had to clean the oven before we could use it...we left note for owner snd received no response (its now been a month)

Owner's Response: We are sorry about your dissatisfaction, but it would have been nice for you to have raised these issues during one of our three phone calls with you during the week. The sheets were clean, but the whole-house iron filter needed changing after a summer of heavy use. We may have caught this had you reported it during your stay. Finally, while we attempt to get guests started with paper products, all guests are responsible for their own consumables.
