Fun & Sun

Excellent get-away from the city. Located in a quiet neighborhood. Large and spacious - great for families. The pool and garden are highlights of this place!

Very little water, no hot water and wrong location.

I went to egypt for my cousins wedding and the location of this house was 10-15 minutes away from the venue. Well when I arrived I found out the location was not accurate and it was actually about 45-1 hour away from the venue. I couldn’t believe that the location was not correct, so deceiving. Then when we first arrived to the villa all of the outside furniture was inside. The home was very dusty so we called management and they said they could get someone out the following morning. After the home had been cleaned I figured okay we can’t run into anymore problems. Well I was wrong... the water was limited, I couldn’t wash dishes or take a good shower. At times the water would turn off on me completely to where I had to bring in a water bottle to finish my shower. Then on top of that the water was freezing cold. It was the most miserable shower I had ever taken. Some of my family members staying with me didn’t even shower but instead washed their hair in the tub and used Wipies. This home also needs to be updated. The home itself is beautiful but there were too many factors that made our stay unenjoyable.

The location of the villa is clearly written twice on the description of the property. It clearly states that it is on the outskirts of Alexandria and it is 25 km from the city centre. The Groom was Egyptian and he knew the location and told the others but they ignored his advise and only focused on the map location which is not created by the landlord of the property but by the website which only recognised the name of the city Alexandria and ignored the first line of the address which is king Mariout. The water issue he mentioned was right but he was such a dishonest person not to mention that the disruption of the water service was a general disruption to the whole area due to huge road work many miles away from our area and all the neighbourhood was affected. It was simply nothing faulty with property but what you expect from a group of dishonest people who deceived us by claiming that the total number occupying the property are 10 while 21 were sleeping there for the entire period. Disgusting liars.

The perfect quiet vacation villa!

My family and our friends are expats living in Alexandria (American, British, and South African) and we are always on the lookout for nice, comfortable places to visit during Egyptian holidays and school breaks. We are SO happy we stumbled across this gorgeous villa in King Mariout. The villa is expansive and housed six adults, a teenager, and a toddler very comfortably. The bedrooms are large and tidy. The kitchen is fully stocked with western appliances and enough cutlery and crockery for a crowd. The living area downstairs is huge, but very formal, however, the sitting area upstairs is also large and has more comfortable seating. The bathrooms were all very nice and clean as well. The patio seating is wonderful and covered with a large awning, which made it great for sitting outside even during the warmest part of the day. The pool is simply fabulous, with a shallow end and a deep end, and easy entry stairs as well as a ladder. I should add, though, that the jacuzzi is in the swimming pool, not a separate hot water jacuzzi. The gardens are some of the most beautiful I've seen in my life and the gardener came every day to tend them; he was respectful of our wishes to work out front when we were swimming, etc (for privacy) and is clearly very proud of his work! For us, the best features of this villa are the privacy and the absolute quiet in the area. We didn't hear a car honk it's horn for four days and enjoyed the stars overhead every night. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely retreat, Dr. Hager!

A wonderful place to relax and explore

Well we wanted for nothing in this lovely villa. The most beautifully kept gardens, glorious swimming pool and Egyptian weather made it very difficult to leave the villa for trips out. The villa was very comfortable, spacious and fully fitted with everything one might need. We were well cared for by the owner, who would always respond positively to any of our requests but otherwise left us to thoroughly enjoy the benefits of this wonderful villa. And the gardner was great fun to have around - never too close but always ready to help, provide fruit, and generally help out with our daily needs. We used a car and and driver which seemed the most sensible way to get around, driving in Egypt demands a very strong nerve. Alexandria provides plenty to see, and it is worth exploring the many streets of shops and mini-markets. And explore some of the places that are a little more out of the way and get a feel for the "real"Egypt. We stayed in this villa for 3 and a half weeks and I still feel we came back to soon. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

I am mesmerized with my second visit .. I like the modifications added to the facility the garden neatly planted with fruits, vegetables and colorful flowers, Sound system .. games, i appreciate how very neatly the place is taken care of, VERY SECURE and everything is at hand! Thank you for hosting us , for the constant follow up and service provided from the day we arrived and for giving us the chance to enjoy beauty mother nature in its true sense .. and simply enjoy life!!

++ repräsentatives Haus mit gepflegter Gartenanlage (+30° 59' 18.32", +29° 40' 47.06" /30.988421,29.67974 ) in Hauwarya ( in der Nähe von King Mariout bzw Ikingi Maryut) ++ großer, schöner Swimmingpool ++ Liegen, Terrassenmöbel prima ++ freundlicher Gärtner mit gutem Gespür für zu haltende Distanz ++ Zugehfrau etwa alle 2 Tage für die Reinigung der Böden und Bäder +2 kleine Zimmer mit Doppelbett, 1 sehr großes Zimmer mit Doppelbett + 1 großes Zimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten und 2 Zusatzbetten - Schränke zum Teil mit Kleidung vom Vermieter belegt, zum Teil wegen Fehlens von Regalböden nicht nutzbar oder schlicht verschlossen. - 2 ViertelkreisDuschen sehr klein, 1 Wannendusche ohne Trennwand - Toilettenspülung, Dusche, Wasserhähne funktionieren nicht, wenn die Sprenkleranlage im Garten an ist - Bettwäsche knapp und nur so in einen Schrank geschmissen, nicht sortiert - keine einzige Pflanze im Haus ++ Internetzugang funktioniert, wenn auch mit langsamer Verbindung ++ Küche voll eingerichtet - Spülmaschine falsch montiert; funktioniert, aber nervig ++ Minimarkt in Laufentfernung - sehr eingeschränktes Angebot - zum Carrefour 45 Min mit der Taxe/ dem Auto ++ Restaurant in Laufentfernung - das Essen leider nicht besonders gut ++ ruhige Wohngegend - Wohngebiet überwiegend unbebaut oder Villen im Bau, unbefestigte nicht geteerte Straßen, streunende Hunde, Straßenbeleuchtung noch unvollständig; Sonstiges: - außerhalb des alexandrinischen Nahverkehrs gelegen – nach Alexandria eine Autostunde - See geografisch vorhanden, jedoch nicht nutzbar – auch keine Promenade o.ä. - nicht für Strandurlaub geeignet. Meer geografisch in 10 km Entfernung; >> wer nicht muslimisch – Frauen in voller Kleidung mit/ohne Kopftuch oder voll verschleiert - schwimmen oder gar sonnenbaden möchte, kann + zum Aida-Hotel (77 km westlich von Alexandria) fahren. Dort gibt es die Möglichkeit der Strandnutzung für ein Ticket von zZt 175 LE incl Lunch/ Person + Taxi ca 350 LE {sehr schöner, weisser feinsandiger Strand ohne Algen, bewacht} + zum Helnan-Palestine-Hotel in Montaza fahren … (Strandnutzung für zZt 150 LE/ Person einschl. 50 LE für Getränke)

The offer given was something one will not get anywhere else for such large, luxury clean property that is so quiet and respecting everyone's privacy. I take the point about new villas under construction in the same street as a positive point as it highlights the high class of the area and neighbourhood.

Simply the right place to be!

It's simply heaven on earth.. the right place you need to be when you need to detach from work load and have time for yourself and chill out!! The place is outstanding and the hospitality we have received from the owners was just great!! It's fully equipped to the max.. you need nothing but your favorite drinks and munchies,, other than that u needn't to worry,, The privacy along with the pool, garden terrace are just extremely well taken care of, the facilities are up to date and very well maintained and really clean.. couldn't ask for anything more.. All what you could think of is just right there at your service.. It was an unforgettable day that will definitely return to very soon.. Thanks for all the support, care, concern and follow up that were given to us from the owners!! Sincere thank you for making this come true!!
