Backyard Beach! 50 Steps to the Sand with Bay Views and Ocean Blues

Light and bright, fully furnished 1br/1.5ba upstairs unit in small building on the peninsula! It is the only upstairs unit so there are no shared walls! It is situated one house from the sand so you can walk to the beach in less than 50 steps! Walk to the ocean, bay, restaurants, markets, and bus. Less than a mile to Newport Pier and half an hour to Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm. About an hour to downtown Los Angeles and an hour-and-a-half to San Diego. Lots of amenities and free WiFi! ONE PARKING SPACE IN THE PRIVATE SHARED GARAGE WILL BE PROVIDED TO GUESTS!

This is a remodeled upstairs unit that features a large private deck with bay views - the perfect place to relax and read a book or grill up something delicious (or watch the famous Newport Beach Boat Parade at Christmas OR a panoramic view of fireworks from Disneyland to the Dunes at 4th of July)! It also has newer carpet throughout with tile floors in bathrooms and kitchen. It boasts granite counters in kitchen, stainless steel appliances (range, built-in oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker and water dispenser), and a washer and dryer on the premises. Property features updated windows as well!

Linens and bathroom towels are included. Weekly and nightly all-inclusive rate with no extra taxes or fees beyond what is listed! Great value in a great location!

Unit sleeps a maximum of 5. There is a king size bed in the bedroom and two fold out sofa beds in the living room: one queen size and one twin size. Kitchen includes basic cooking utensils, pots and pans, silverware, cups, plates, coffee maker, blender, and a toaster. Huge dining room with table and chairs. There is a BBQ, table, and chairs on the deck. Cable TV and WiFi are included. Street parking is also available. Beach equipment (chairs, surfboards, bikes, etc.) rentals are available at 15th Street Surf Shop less than a block away.

Come to the beach and relax! Our home is the perfect place to get away!

We love the location. Across from the lighthouse and marina. Steps to the beach. Able to walk everywhere! Comfortable bed, stocked kitchen, grill on the deck. Garage parking. We loved our stay, and are already booked for next year! Great walks, beautiful sunsets. Spent great happy hours all over the peninsula.

The property is indeed old (build in 1959) but, since I acquired the property, I have done quite a bit to upgrade it for my guests. The apartment features remodeled bathroom and kitchen, new appliances, new windows, new paint both inside and out, a new deck, and lots of other upgrades. I look forward to having you back!

Awesome beach house

This charming house is the perfect location for exploring the balboa peninsula on foot or bikes! Beautiful views front and back, the bay at night is magic, walking the beach in the morning to get donuts even better! Having a place to park and keep bikes is priceless! Clean too, sheets, bedding all the good stuff for being comfy and suprisingly quiet at night for being right in the middle of all the lovely beach things!

In addition to preserving some of the older classic woodwork and cabinetry that reflect the history of the property, in the the last several years I've added a new deck, remodeled the master bathroom, painted both the interior and exterior of the building, installed new carpet, windows, granite countertops, and new furniture both inside and out (beds, sofas, patio furniture, TV, etc.) in an effort to keep things up to date for my guests, just as I would do for my own family.
