The Stone Maiden inn made me consider why I ever stay at 'chain' accommodations.Well-located, easily walkable to the river, restaurants, shops, and theatre. Quiet. Clean. Our host was lovely. Parking and access was easy. Room was exceptionally clean. Lovely bedding. Coffee/Tea station, nice yard and garden. I appreciated the antiques. It wasn't kitch Victorian, it was a beautifully cared for Victorian home with the quirks.I would stay there again, and recommend it to anyone.
