Perfect getaway

Perfect weekend getaway. Cottage met all our needs for our stay for my daughter’s wedding being held at Vista Creek. And we were able to take our dogs with us which was a huge plus.

Great large house with beautiful property

We ended up with awful weather all week and still managed to have a wonderful family spring break. Kids braved the cold to enjoy the heated pool while mom and dad happily enjoyed from the hot tube. We brought our dog and the whole property was very dog friendly. Planning to come back next year.

Doggone Perfect Was Perfect

My family and our two dogs had a terrific time at this home. We had plenty of space to spread out but also had fun family time. The pool and hot tub were highlights of our week. The view was perfection for coffee in the morning and later in the evening for the sunset. The fenced in yard was great for the dogs. I did not have to worry about them getting away. We would love to come back and stay again.

Reviewer Comments: house was great, enjoyed the sunset from the top deckpool and hot tub were nice after a long daylocation was great one issue was most of the lower level lights on the house and under were burnt out. and last night of the stay we had a cockroach in the master bedroom.On the outside enclosed dog pen one of the boards was missing so if you had a small dog it could get thru. Our dogs love the large back yard.great house will stay agian

Great sounds ideal vacation house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great 2 weeks at Doggone Perfect! One thing might need to be addressed is the back railing from the queen/ bunk room. It is very rough and very easy to get slivers. We also couldn't use the 2nd floor master, because the bed is so high. Other than that, a perfect 2 weeks! Pool and hot tub were great too! Soundside sunsets were gorgeous!

Amazing place for families ..and dogs!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was simply amazing. Surprisingly it looks better in person than it does in the pictures and the location is fantastic. Our family probably enjoyed walking 75 feet out to the sound and spending time in the water there than we did on the beach. The kids also loved the spa, the pool and the pool table and my wife and I really enjoyed having some drinks on the upper deck while enjoying watching the golfers go by (its a really fun golf course to play by the way) and then the amazing sunsets. Hard to imagine a scenario where anyone could be disappointed in this wonderful gem of a home.

Wonderful House and location

The only complaints I had were the counters and small appliances were dusty and had a weird sticky film on them. Also, it would have been great if the leaves had been cleaned and taken away from around the pool and outside tables. It was obvious the leaves had been there for a LONG time. We had to clean up before we could enjoy the space.

Great vacation, this house is definitely dog-gone perfect!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is unique, it was an ok size for 5 adults, any more than that is a tight fit in the living room. The yard and pool were perfect. Heads up to any renters, the waterfalls in the pool must run, or it doesn’t filter. They were off when we arrived. The pool was cleaned during the week and pumps left on when we returned, so clean! The location was perfect, the bay was awesome for the dogs! Definitely would rent again. The house was clean except for all the dog hair under sofa, beds, tables! It would have been nice to have that swept up. We found out the hard way when the dogs would lose the ball under furniture.

Beautiful view, comfortable accommodations for our family of four

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is service clean only. Definitely in need of a deep clean which includes under furniture. We paid the additional charge to heat the pool however the pool was never vacuumed prior to our arrival so the bottom of the pool was very dirty. The deck surrounding the pool was full of debris from surrounding trees and shrubs so everytime you went in, you took it in the pool with you. There was a net that we were able to use to remove surface debris. We made do but overall the condition of the pool was unacceptable especially paying more to heat it so we could enjoy it. The ceiling in the room with the bunk beds leaks. Thankful that we did not have to utilize this room during our stay. Property management was made aware of this issue.

Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and amenities were great. The quality of the home and the beautiful view of the Sound were wonderful. I will caveat my next statement with the fact that I realize pets are allowed at this location but that should not universally excuse the cleanliness of a home. It is unacceptable for dog hair to be ubiqutious throughtout the home. My wife and I spent two hours vaccuming and Swiffering the floors and furniture. With the amount of dog hair we cleaned up, I find it highly unlikely that any serious effort was made by the cleaning crew to vaccum, Swiffer, or mop the floors. Also I assume the accumulation of hair casued a dog odor to permeate and linger throughtout the home. In addition, when we moved the coffee maker to wipe the counter there was an accumulation of dirt, water, and I assume coffee grounds accumulated underneath, which again indicates to me that no serious efforts were made to address basic cleaning.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Such wonderful sunsets!! The house suited us just fine but there are some things that renters should know. If your dog can't manage circular stairs (as mine could not), the only way to access the fenced yard is from two of the five bedrooms, or to go out the front door, down the front steps and then walk around back. I had hoped to use one of the two bedrooms with a fireplace and that turned out to not be an option for me.That said, the fireplaces didn't work out for my guests who did have those rooms. One fireplace was too loud (a noisy fan) and one simply didn't work. Maintenance came right away for this and another issue that they quickly resolved. I was pleased with maintenance response. We were eight adults. The living area was a little tight when we were all there and we often had to bring in an extra chair or two from another part of the house on those occasions.But what a lot of great memories we built over the week! It was truly a great winter beach getaway.

Wonderful week overall!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we enjoyed our stay at Doggone Perfect! In addition to my husband and I, two adult sons and their girlfriends, we were joined by three of our large dogs. We actually found the unusual glayout of the home and multiple stairs to be fun. The location on the sound and off of the golf course couldn’t have been better. We enjoyed many sunsets and played golf as much as possible. The home was beautifully decorated and the beds were comfortable. We spent many hours in the pool and much preferred it to the ocean even though the pool waterfalls were not working. Our only complaint was the housekeeping. There was a lot of hair and some garbage under furniture. The appliances and kitchen drawers were dirty/sticky. The garbage in the pool area was not emptied and smelled terrible. The prior occupants did not pick up after their dog(s) so there were many piles to pick up on the grass in the backyard. One tub drains was full of hair and had to be unclogged. In short, the housekeeping was a disappointment but the house itself and the location were awesome.

Happy to Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There was a lot of great things but also a lot of downsides, Not well kept or clean. Ice maker never worked not one cube of ice. My husband checked that it was on and bucket and drawer were properly placed still never worked. Had to buy ice all week a bit of an inconvenience. Outdoor area was wonderful but alot of things need repair. Railing into Gazebo is about to break. Going out of the gate to yard area near the Gazebo had a black cable coming up out of the ground this was a serious trip hazard. We also were supposed to have pool heat which I paid for but it was not on and I did not get the pool heat until Wed. It would also be really nice if the tree did not hangover the pool the sun only hits the pool in a couple small places. There are a lot of nice Lounge chairs but there is nowhere to use them since everything is hanging over the area preventing the sun from hitting the area. The outdoor fireplace was a wonderful treat at night to help keep the bugs away and roast marshmallows. The fountains in the pool was by far my favorite thing and makes up for a lot of other downsides. The sound is so relaxing I loved them. The other big upside is that the house is set up to cater to your fur babies and that I appreciated and respected a lot.
