This was our second stay here . The house is nice , clean & has everything we needed . Shopping & restaurants are all very close , and
the fenced yard is great if you bring your pet .
We spent four months At Sandy and Brian's place . The location is ideal .Neighborhood feels very safe and is also very walkable .. We enjoyed sitting on the dock . It's a short ride over the bridge to Punta Gorda and the Harbor Walk .
The house is well equipped and very comfortable . Sandy and Brian are quick to respond to any issue s which were few and far between
We stayed here for a week. The house was exceptionally clean and upgraded. Everything was in working order. Very close to the boat ramp, the beach, restaurants and grocery stores. My favorite spot was sitting and fishing off the dock. I would suggest the host install either a wireless doorbell or intercom system so you can "buzz" the people in the house to come help you with your catch or to come and see the wildlife swimming by. We saw dolphins, manatees, stingrays and huge schools of drum. The big fenced yard was a plus for our dogs. We would definitely stay here again!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely home on a canal waterway that leads to the big bay in Port Charlotte. The home was very clean, comfortable, and lovingly decorated. We enjoyed kayaking directly from the property and fishing off the dock. We caught several fish and viewed stingray courting in the canals. It is very close to get over Punta Gorda and the Pickleplex. Sandy always responded quickly. We highly recommend this home!
This property was perfect, just as described in both photos and words! We were traveling with a service dog who really enjoyed the fenced in yard to run off steam every day. Morning coffee by the canal was a great way to start the day. Sandy even had the kitchen stocked with k-cups, a much appreciated gesture! When we had a problem figuring out the tv remote situation, she was quick to respond and even offered to come by to help. Overall we had a fantastic time here!
winter 2022 on Lister Street at the Sweeney residence
This home is situated in a tremendous neighborhood that is very quiet with friendly neighbors. Home is well kept, has everything you may need during your stay. Fenced in yard is great if you have your pet with you. Sandy and Brian are amazing to deal with if you have any questions or concerns. One of my favorite things at this home was the many hours we spent sitting on the very comfortable dock and enjoying the breeze that was there most of the time to keep you comfortable even on the warmest days Florida provides . If you watch close enough you may be lucky to spot a manatee or a dolphin. We were fortunate enough to sight both during our stay.
I highly recommend this home. You will not be disappointed.
We had a great time staying at this property Sandy was awesome answered all our questions check-in was very easy enjoyed our time would definitely come back
the property was ok, except for the snakes and an alligator and a gas grill that was rusted out and not usable

Michael and his wife were disrespectful to my property. The home was left filthy and with junk. Their stay was 1 month. The tub was black with filth and pink mildew growing. They trashed my carpet with frozen Popsicles dripped everywhere leaving spots all over the carpet. They left their left over food, tolietrees broken grill, broken lawn chairs and old dirty clothing behind. Trash was collected weekly there is no reason for this. I kept 200 of the 360 deposit in order to recover the additional cleaning and carpet cleaning. I could have taken all of it considering the distruction they caused.. I would never rent to these slobs again. They were disgusting
We thoroughly enjoyed the property we rented in Florida for the winter. The house and yard was wonderful. The location to amenities and attractions was great. The neighbors we met were terrific. And the property owners were very nice and accommodating, and made our stay memorable. Thank you Sandy and Brian!!

Highly recommend!!!!
The home was perfect for us. It was equipped with whatever we needed to begin our stay👍🏼. It is centrally located ....I walked everywhere. The neighbors are very friendly. The lanai and dock were a favorite place for my husband to hang out and cast...no luck on fishing, tho. A little too early in the season. Loved all the bird varieties that were nesting. It’s close to Airports in the area, and places/cities to explore near by. I even found a mother of the bride dress!! Thank you Sandy and Brian for being such great hosts and letting us use your home.. as our home!!

Great place to fish, relax and bot too far from fisherman's village
First off the house is extremely clean. We were given some frozen bait to use out at the dock and spent a great deal of time fishing or watching wildlife swim by. One morning we were even blessed with a couple of dolphins right off the dock! Fisherman's Village in Punta Gorda is a short drive and eating and drinking on the water was so relaxing! I recommend everyone tries Scotty's Brewhouse. Grocery stores and anything else you need is less than 5 minutes away. The backyard is perfect to let your children or pets run off some energy. The best part of it all is the Sweeneys make this home feel like HOME while you are on vacation! I recommend staying here for sure!

Great location, lovely home
We had the pleasure of spending the winter at Sandy and Brian's home, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners are very responsive to any questions and concerns, and the house was immaculately clean when we arrived. Enjoyed the fenced back yard and sitting on the dock. We also enjoyed the location, which was very convenient to all the restaurants and stores in Punta Gorda (particularly enjoyed the Celtic Ray, Sandra's German restaurant, the Ice House, and Carmelo's). Nice little beach area 5 minutes from the house at Port Charlotte Beach Park, and very nice beach about 40 minutes away at Boca Grande. Lots of nice dog walking in the neighborhoods too. Highly recommend this as a vacation home, and hope we will stay there again sometime in the future. Thanks Sandy!

Beautiful house and caring host!
We were very impressed with this house. The owner made sure to have everything to make us feel at home. The house was very clean, comfortable and so beautifully decorated. We were particularly impressed with Sandy's attention to detail. She even had the small soaps, conditioner and shampoo set up as if it was a hotel. Also she left us a bottle of wine and treats for my dog with a nice thank you card. Sandy truly knows how to make her guests feel special. Unfortunately we could not enjoy the outside as much as we wanted because we were there for a family's wedding, however the outside is beautifully laid out as well and we certainly enjoyed having our morning coffee at the dock. I wish all house owners were as attentive and caring as Sandy. Thank you for having us, Sandy!

Amazing property with amazing owners!
My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time at this beautiful home. The owners were extremely nice, very helpful and welcomed us with a bottle of wine. The home was wonderfully decorated, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. Even the bathrooms were stocked with items you find at 5-star hotels. We spent most of our time sitting on the dock under the canopy. The home is close to everything you need while there (grocery & liquor stores and tackle shop!).
Nicest thing I can say is we'll be back next year. You will love this home too!

a quiet getaway
The house is solidly built in a quiet neighborhood with very little traffic. No problem with loud parties and screaming drunks like some resort areas have. The traffic is lighter than in most towns near the coast and it is easy to get around.
The dock is a great place to read or just space out when the weather is nice. It doesn't matter if you have a boat or not. I would highly recommend it for couples. The two baths are a great convenience.
You couldn't ask for a nicer person than Sandy to deal with.

Casual Elegance
This house was absolutely wonderful. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. We liked having two bathrooms! Two living rooms with TV's, so you can take your choice if hubby watches too much CNN or FOX!The lanai was great place to sit and read. The dock seating shown in the picture was a perfect place to sit and relax. The kitchen was well equipped. I cook a lot, and had everything I needed. There was a new grill on the lanai. We don't fish, but there were fishing poles and bait in the freezer on the lanai. Also, a paddle board....I can't say ENOUGH good things about this house. The owners are only a call away. We are sorry that it is not available next March. Thank you Sandy and Brian!

About the host

What makes this property unique
Walk through the double front doors that open to warm bamboo floors, large windows with stylish shutters. Just beyond the windows lies waterfront property. My favorite spot in the entire home is the lanai for those magical sunset evenings. This house couldn't be closer to Charlotte Harbor unless it was on the harbor.
