Where can you find sand, sea and dunes bordered by beautiful old woodlands, all together in one place?Where can you ramble and cycle through the unspoiled countryside and do whatever suits your fancy, be that meandering around, finding an outdoor cafe, sunbathing or leisure shopping? The municipality of Bergen has a lot to offer the present-day tourist. The former fishing village of Egmond, with its pleasant beach, outdoor cafes and small shops; the ‘arty’ village of Bergen with an abundance of art and culture and the village of Schoorl is perfect for those seeking a more peaceful beach and splendid woodlands and dunes. The seaside resort of Bergen aan Zee has a very individual atmosphere, with a sea aquarium and kilometres of beach. The annual Jazz & Sail Festival is now a nationally known event.

The house,build with all natural materials, is located in a small child friendly park.Unlike other houses on the park it is not enclosed by other houses and has no passing (car)traffic.

We had a lovely week, with a very relaxed cycling, digging in the dune at Schoorl and enjoying the national park with its beautiful beaches.

Really Lovely Cottage

A most peaceful and relaxing house which has all the amenities. Easy access and parking. Positives - great location, well-maintained and very interesting building, everything you might ever need was provided. Negatives - design of house meant that master bedroom downstairs was dark and unwelcoming. We slept upstairs in a beautiful room but as it was laid out for children had two single beds. Cottage located within easy reach of many interesting places. Recommended. PS Ignore the Sat-Nav when looking for this house!

Erholung pur

Das war ein schönes, gut eingerichtetes Haus mit gepflegtem Garten in einer ruhigen parkähnlichen Anlage. Hier werden wir noch öfter hinfahren. Der Ort bietet gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und nette Restaurants. Strände sind über gut ausgebaute Fahrradwege zu erreichen

Erholung pur in traumhafter Umgebung

Tolles Ferienhaus in sehr schöner und ruhiger Anlage. Wir waren bereits das zweite Mal in Buiten Bergen. Das Haus war wie auf den Fotos erkennbar schick und modern eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub benötigt. Uns hat nichts gefehlt und die ganze Organisation und Abwicklung vor Ort lief reibungslos. Sehr schön war, dass Basics wie Müllbeutel, Spülmittel, Tabs, Toilettenpapier etc. vom Vermieter gestellt wurden und nicht extra mitgebracht bzw. gekauft werden mussten. WLan hat super funktioniert, auch auf der Terasse. Insgesamt ein super Urlaub, den wir als Familie zu dritt in diesem schönen Haus verbracht haben.

Sauber, spartanisch und Kleinkind-ungeeignet

Ein doch recht kleines Haus, welches sehr sauber und gepflegt ist. Die Matratzen sind sauber, lediglich die Kopfkissen wiesen Schweißränder auf. Die Bettbezüge und die Handtücher waren sauber und frisch gewaschen. Die Einrichtung ist zweckmäßig aber auf das Nötigste beschränkt. Das weiß geflieste Bad hat einen leichten Touch von Jugendherberge. In dem Bad stehen zwei neuwertige Miele-Geräte (Trockner, Waschmaschine). Die Abwicklung ist sehr unkompliziert und der Kontakt sehr freundlich. Auch die Außenanlage ist sehr gepflegt. Ein großes Manko ist, dass das Haus nicht für Kleinkinder geeignet ist (3 und 1,5 Jahre). Die Treppe ins OG ist für Kinder diesen Alters regelrecht gefährlich steil und rutschig und DIREKT hinter dem Haus befindet sich einer der vielen kleinen Wassergräben - für kleine Kinder eine große Gefahr!! Dieser Wassergraben birgt auch ein weiteres Problem: unzählige Stechmücken. Das Haus ist leider so schlecht isoliert, dass im OG gestern Abend über 40 Grad Celsius waren und das bei einer Tageshöchsttemperatur von 26 Grad Celsius. Lüften ist allerdings nur über zwei winzig kleine Fenster möglich, da nur vor diesen Fliegenschutzgitter davor ist. In der ersten Nacht haben wir es nicht ausgehalten und die großen Fenster trotzdem aufgemacht. Das Resultat war, dass wir am nächsten Morgen verstochen waren frei nach dem Motto "All-you-can-eat". Das Haus eignet sich für einen kurzen Urlaub für Paare oder Familien mit großen Kindern.

entspannte Tage in Schoorl

Sauber und ordentliches Haus das mit allem notwendigem ausgestattet ist.Die Lage des Hauses ist optimal zwischen Bergen und Schoorl die beide mit dem Fahrrad in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen sind. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und bemüht, und reagiert vorbildlich auf kleine Reklamationen. Der einzige Mangel ist ein fehlender Kleiderschrank um Kleidung aufzuhängen oder wegzuräumen. Das Haus kann man, grade auf Grund des freundlichen Vermieters bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen. Negativ ist die unfreundliche und servicefeindliche Rezeption des Bungalowparks. Die beiden Mitarbeiterinnen gaben erst falsche Auskünfte und weigerten sich dann auch noch, nach Abgabe der Magnetkarte für die Zufahrt, diese nochmals zu öffnen. Sie verlangten stattdessen das wir uns im strömenden Regen zu Fuß auf den Weg zurück zum Haus machen sollten. Reine Schikane, wahrscheinlich weil die Vermietung des Hauses nicht über Ihre Firma gelaufen ist.

Tolles Haus in schöner Lage

Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen. Das Haus ist super, die Umgebung toll. Es gibt einen Parkplatz inklusive. Und man kann in der Anlage auch Fahrräder mieten und zB einen Ausflug in die Schoorlse Duinen machen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

An enjoyable and relaxing holiday

We had not travelled to this part of the Netherlands before and we impressed with how beautiful the landscape is and how relaxing the holiday was. The holiday house is great and perfectly suited our group of 4. Although the house is fairly small and simply furnished, the layout meant that we did not feel like we were tripping over each other. The kitchen was well equipped and a store of basic ingredients like oil and herbs were provided, which was very useful. The owners had provided toys and games and they kept our children entertained every evening. The local area was full of things to see and do and great places to eat lunch and shop. We will definitely be back!

Schöner Bungalow, top ausgestattet!

Wir können uns nur den anderen Bewertungen anschließen. Der Bungalow war sehr gut ausgestattet, alles war da. Kinderausstattung (Hochstuhl, Kinderbett, Spielzeug), Küchenutensilien (Gewürze, Tee, Espressomaschine, Milchaufschäumer) und dazu noch noch charmant eingerichtet. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter und zur Verwaltung war super schnell und super freundlich. Einziges Manko für uns: Der Garten grenzt an einen kleinen Kanal an. Unsere 1 1/2-jährige, sehr aktive Tochter konnten wir also keine Sekunde alleine im Garten lassen. Bergen und Bergen aan Zee sind nur zu empfehlen. Charmante Stadt, toller Strand. Vielen Dank für einen schönen Urlaub!

Quiet, stylish and practical home from home...

We were really impressed by the house, the location and the area - this is not a well known area of the Netherlands for British tourists (we only saw one other UK registered car!) but we loved the countryside; sitting between the natural beauty of the dunes, and the peaceful farmland of the polder, this is a great place for young families to explore. The house itself is stylish and modern, but has all the comforts of being someone's holiday home - lots of crockery, kitchen equipment, towels etc. - we really enjoyed the outdoor space and furniture - the small development is well spaced, peaceful and very family- friendly, and both countryside and the towns of Schoorl and Bergen are nearby. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the house, as a great base to explore this area of North Holland

Séjour très agréable

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette maison qui dispose de tous les conforts. La chambre des enfants est pensée pour les petits et le propriétaire y a laissé même des jeux. La cuisine est très bien équipée et toutes les pièces étaient très propres lors de notre arrivée. A la réservation, le propriétaire nous a transmis un petit livret sous format électronique contenant beaucoup d'informations sur les environs afin de pouvoir profiter au mieux de nos vacances.

Aufenthalt in Bergen/ Schoorl

Wir haben die Tage in Bergen sehr genossen und einen Ferienort vorgefunden, der den Beschreibungen voll entsprach. Der Empfang im Bungalow war äußerst freundlich und hilfreich. Für weitere Informationen stand uns eine umfassende Mappe mit tollen Tipps zur Verfügung. Beim Bungalow handelte es sich um einen sauberen, gut ausgestatteten Ferienbungalow. Toll war für uns, dass auch ein Kinderbett sowie ein Tripp Trapp zur Verfügung standen. Einziges Manko: bei steigenden Temperaturen wird der Schlafkomfort in der 1. Etage nicht gegeben sein, da der obere Raum sich sehr schnell aufheizt. Vermisst haben wir ebenfalls noch einen Kleiderschrank, um für unser Reisegepäck etwas mehr Stauraum zu haben. Alles in allem hat es uns aber sehr gut gefallen und wir kommen gerne wieder :-)

A holiday with everything you can wish for

We totally fell in love with the house, the people and the area. The house is so beautifully decorated and has really high quality furniture, which are very comfortable to use. We love the house, because it is beautiful and practical. For us ( family of 5) , the house was the perfect size. The children played and slept upstairs and we had a little bit of peace downstairs. The garden has a good size and the children spent some time playing table tennis on the playground of the holiday park. We think of Schoorl as a perfect location for a holiday, because it has something to offer for every weather and time of the year. The beaches are very big and beautiful, the dunes of Schoorl have fantastic cycle paths and walking paths and near by are many nice cities to have a look at, like Almaar, Hoorn, Bergen and Amsterdam. We definitely plan to return.

Beautiful holiday home between Bergen and Schoorl

This holiday home is in a park between Bergen and Schoorl, the scenery is very nice´and each house has an own garden. The house has two bedrooms, one of them upstairs with a great outlook. Inside it is very nice, new furniture, big windows so iti is very light inside. We felt very well in this house and will come back for sure.

Ideal holiday home

The owner and his family were absolutely charming and very helpful when welcoming us on arrival. This new holiday home was very clean, warm, well-equipped and tastefully furnished; the owners had put much thought into providing plenty of useful information. There are beautiful paths in the extensive dune and forest area behind the climbing dune in Schoorl, with coloured poles to show you the way. You can choose between long and short walks/runs, a walk to the sea and even to the centre of Bergen. The 6 km bicycle ride to the beach is also very beautiful. Just a few minutes walking from the holiday home there is a horse riding school and during our stay the Dutch Championship Carrousel horse riding took place, which was nice to watch. With beaches, forests, dunes, villages, swimming pool, horse riding school and much more, all within 10 km from the holiday home, it’s a perfect location in North Holland. For a family with 2 young children (8 and 11) this was the ideal holiday home with plenty of space indoors and out. Even with 6 guests it would have been spacious enough. We'd certainly recommend it for people seeking privacy, peace and quiet.

Sehr empfehlenswertes Haus in Buiten Bergen !

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit diesem schönen Haus in Aagtdorp ! Sehr sauber, alles ganz neu und hochwertig eingerichtet ( sehr gute Betten, schönes Geschirr, schickes Ledersofa, tolle Gartenmöbel, Internetzugang, dimmbares Licht in allen Räumen ). Wir durften Spielsachen ( für ca. 3jährige Kinder ) und den Bollerwagen kostenlos benutzen, Fahrräder kann man im nahe gelegenen Campingplatz De Bregman günstig leihen. Mit dem Rad ist man schnell in Bergen oder Schoorl, schöne Radwege durch die Dünen ans Meer. Die Vermieter konnten wir persönlich kennenlernen und fanden sie sehr sympathisch !

Noord-Holland is certainly off the beaten track as far as British holidaymakers are concered, and boy, are they missing out. Everything about our stay was perfect, from the bike-friendly roads to the comprehensively kitted-out accommodation. Our four-year-old loved it too, the on-site wildfowl in particular. We'll certainly be back.

Family of 4 had great weather and a great time

The house is a perfect base for a family holiday. There are so many different things to do very close by, including 2 lovely towns, great beaches and dunes to go running and cycling in. There is everything that you need in the house and the owners have provided loads of information about local activities as well as practical details like opening times of shops and which restaurants are child friendly etc. There were 4 of us, but it would sleep 6 and because the few rooms that it has are large, it felt spacious. It is a very well and tastefully designed house. The furniture and interior decor is well maintained, simple and contemporary. The garden has a large lawn with lovely wooden furniture; we ate all our meals outside, had great afternoons playing games on the lawn and even better evenings sitting out with a nice glass of wine! The location of the house on the development means that there were hardly any passing cars so it was safe for the children to play out. Our children played with some of the children from the other houses. We will definitely go back again! We have 2 children aged 7 and 9 and we took our own car with us.

Why they chose this property

We bought the place in 2008 to have a getaway within 60 minutes from our home in Amsterdam. We now live in Vancouver, Canada. We've always loved the Dutch coast especially in Northern Holland where the beach towns are still authentic and not so much developed as Scheveningen, Noordwijk or Zandvoort. The dunes and adjacent forest are stunning, we love to hike, run or cycle there. The villages of Bergen and Schoorl are quaint and relaxing. We drop everything when we get to our place and enjoy the pace&peace in this beautiful part of Holland. We hope you will enjoy it too.
