Great little place to be in the woods! We loved that there’s no TV. Would be fun to bring more friends and rent all three cabins at the same time! Had everything we needed, and nothing we didn’t
The cabin was very nice and cozy in a beautiful location, close to Athens, Ohio, and not too far from Hocking Hills.

Very remote and quiet, cabin was clean. Property is about 4 miles from the bike trail. The driveway leading to the Ulysses was pretty tight but doable. Overall it was a good stay and relaxing.
Quiet place and cabin is just as described. Rained the whole time, so we didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit. Cozy porch facing the creek. Enjoyed our atay
Cabin was just as described. Everything we needed. Peaceful setting and very close to Athens. Porch was nice to sit on when it rained. We’ll book with Evan and Andes again when visiting our daughter at OU!

Thank you so much for your great review! We are happy to host you whenever you want to come!
We came here for the 4th of July to keep our dog from being stressed out. The fireworks in Athens were still prevalent, but it was low stress for him. We only had one neighbor. The area was super quiet and peaceful. All amenities we needed were there (one of the steak knives did snap in two while I was cutting something soft. I threw it away). The bed was comfortable (and no, the doggo didn't get on it...he's too short anyhow to get up there). It was extremely clean and tidy and pleasant to stay in. We loved the porch and watching the turtles, koi, tadpoles and frogs. The fire pit was a great idea but it was too hot to enjoy, and the little trails around the property were great for dog strolls. While remote, Athens is just a few minutes away, and hiking, lakes nearby made it a great spot! Thank you for having us in your home!

Thank you so much for your kind words—we definitely needed the encouragement! We truly appreciate you staying with us and would love to host you again anytime.
We were extremely disappointed in the cabin. Which I would not even call a cabin. It’s pretty much a storage shed with a porch built on it. The pond is basically a mud hole. There was a wasp nest on the porch. The place looks like a hippie camp. It’s just a thrown together bunch of storage buildings made into into a type of cabin. We were told we would get our money back. They refunded one day stay out of five so we are gonna have to take them to court to get our money back. To put it bluntly the place is a dump! We did not even spend one night in the place. It is a terrible setting would highly advise that you do not stay here.

Thank you for your feedback. Although the exterior shell of the cabin was prefabricated, we added extra windows, insulation, plumbing, electric, full bath, kitchenette, heating and cooling, a stilted foundation, hardwood floors, and carefully thought trim and wall details. This we built with our own hands, pouring our hearts into the cabin and the many acres of beautiful forest surrounding it. Our pond is a natural wildlife pond meant for enjoying nature, and we consistently treat the property for pests to keep bugs and wasps away. While our rustic style isn't for everyone, most of our guests love the unique, natural experience here. Regarding your refund, you chose to leave right after arriving without staying the night. We asked you to cancel the booking on your end that same day so we could process a refund without penalties. Since you did not cancel or communicate further with us, we were not required to refund anything. Even so, we chose to refund you $150—which was the most expensive night of your stay—as a gesture of goodwill. We feel this was very fair under the circumstances and wish you the best.
