Why Tony chose Curtis
It's a cottage that represents the true nature of Galicia, its permanent and unchanging nature and with the possibility of enjoying tradition and modernity. The house has all the amenities that you can ask for a rural accommodation; Fireplace, Wifi, television and dvd, microwave, vacuum cleaner, coffee maker, kettle and all necessary utensils. It is also near all the destinations of Galicia; Santiago de Compostela, La Coruña, Lugo, Las Fragas del Eume, the Beach of the Cathedrals, Monastery of Sobrado de los Monjes ... But what is more important: When you want to forget the car, there are a lot of excursions nearby in which you can enjoy nature in its purest form. We speak English.
What makes this Cottage unique
Galicia - Galiza in galician - is part of the "green Spain", and it has not been yet conquered by the massive tourism. It is a highly appreciated destination for lonely planet travellers and, therefore, a region to be unquestionably recommended. People from all over Spain are well aware about this. In Galicia it is still easy to find old-time hospitality, which has become harder and harder to find in other parts of Spain. Along the seaside it is possible to find amazing long beaches to enjoy: saling, fishing, diving are well know activities. And, even in summer, a lot of beaches are not really crammed with tourists. The inland offers green, wide and open spaces, as well as mountains to go across. In the north it is possible to visit the astonishing Death's Coast, one of the most abrupt coastlines in Europe. A smooth breeze tempers the hottest days in summer and, thanks to the Biscay's gulf stream, it is possible to get a bath until the end of Septembre. Fish and seafood are an important part of the galician diet. 95% of the fish and seafood in Spain comes from Galicia. In this way, along the seaside the galician cooking offers a wide range of courses with octopusy, fish, crabs, clams, etc. All these products are fished by the fishermen from the full of locar color villages. It is a must to taste "pulpo a la gallega", galician octopusy, with red or white wine from the region.

Lovely cottage in great location
Tony was a very helpful and friendly host. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped, including the English TV programmes. Its location was ideal for us - a quiet rural settiing but less than an hour away from all the major cities we wanted to visit. We hope to return soon.
Comfortable and very clean property
Tony was a very helpful landlord
Our Host Tony was very welcoming and provided a very neat, clean and cosy cottage. It proved to be a great starting point to explore the region. The in house movies and recorded shows were great as well. We would highly recommend.
Thank you for your comment much appreciated Barry & Jenny.
Beautifully renovated cottage in a rural setting
This was our first visit to Galicia. We wanted to stay somewhere traditional and within reach of the main towns and coastlines. This place absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived we felt at home, thanks to Tony and Sue for being such lovely hosts. The cottage is one of two on the same site which have been totally renovated to a very high standard. Everything is provided, the bed is super comfortable and the bathroom is modern. We loved the paintings, done by Tony, which show traditional Galician scenes and give even more character to the interior. The classic TV programs provided on a hard drive were much appreciated too when the Galicia got some much needed rain! We totally recommend this cottage for those seeking to explore this scenic corner of Spain. We will be back!
A well appointed house in a lovely rural setting. Fully and pleasantly supported by Tony and Sue. Our stay was a positive expierance and would recommend the cottage for people looking for peace and serenity but within easy reach of surrounding attractions.
Lovely cottage in a rual setting
This is a delightful cottage, which is well furnished and equipped with everything you might need for your stay. We stayed for 3.5 weeks, and Tony was very good about giving us a discount for the longer stay.
The cottage is situated in a hamlet of small holdings and the locals are very friendly (even if your Spanish is very basic!).
It is situated about equidistance from Santiago and Coruna, but a car is a definite necessity as most things are a good hour away. (Which is why it is 4 not 5 stars!)
Tony and his wife are great hosts, nothing too much trouble and their weekly cleaning was an unexpected bonus.
Thank you for your stay and comment Sheila.
We are situated in the middle of the most important
cities of Galicia and we have two villages very near the cottage one is Curtis 3 kilometers and the other is Teixeiro 7 kilometers which both have 3 supermarkets and everything you need, which people find this to be very unusual when they come to a rural área like this.
This is the proper distance list from the cottage and they are not all an hour away as you have stated.
Betanzos 22 Km
Sada 27 km
A Coruña 51 km
Santiago 51 km
Ferrol 62 km
Lugo 61 km

Santiago de Compostela is the jewel in Galicia's historic and medieval crown. Santiago is this region of Spain's most famous and illustrious city and it holds a vast medieval district with many monuments and buildings of not just Spanish, but international importance.
Betanzos is located in la Coruna province. It is situated some 20 minutes inland from la Coruna city and 40 minutes from Santiago de Compostela. It is one of several traditional Galician towns bidding to make an impact on foreign
