Family Vacation

Property is centrally located to airports, shopping, highways and activities. Great communication from host. House is as listed. The house is well designed for a group of 12 where we did not feel confined. Highly recommend Villa Luz Plantation.

The landscaping and pool patio/pool water seemed like we were at an abandoned property..not like the pictures at all .. the a/c was off when we arrived and there was a musty stale air smell throughout the house...water pressure was terrible if water was on in any other area of the house... cushions were missing from mostly rotten patio furniture and pool lights were dangling from the wires under water! It was embarrassing to have invited family and friends to my mother in laws 80th birthday dinner in the house/yard neglected condition! The property is falsely represented and I want a refund!

Very nice home however it was hot and the a/c wasn’t enough to cool it down. Ceiling fan in bedroom 3 not working and master bedroom does not have a ceiling fan. I’m glad we packed a table top fan. The bathroom in number 2 that has the sliding doors feels like they will fall off the track. Some of the light bulbs need replaced in kitchen. The backyard needs attention to tall grass and weeds a little trash left over not picked up. No microwave and saw the little ants. Our group had a good time and the host was quick to respond to questions. Overall a good experience but expected better quality for the price.

After making the reservation in May for our December stay, I was upset to see a poor review in October and reached out to the host. I was told repairs were made, but the home was a disappointment upon arrival. Out of 4 driveway entrance lights, only 1 works and it’s broken leaning to its side. The landscaping is unkept with weeds and dead palm fronds. Patio furniture is dirty and not safe to sit on. The interior of the home was not clean. The refrigerator had residue on the doors and its interior. The oven was not cleaned with a mound of burnt food at the bottom. Splash marks were on the ceiling over damaged kitchen stools. The primary bathroom sink leaks at the base. The guest bathroom toilet leaks at the base, the toilet seat is missing a fastener so it’s loose and the window blinds are damaged. The pink guest bathroom toilet seat is also missing a fastener so it’s loose. There were multiple roaches in the kitchen and in the primary bedroom walk-in closet. Ants were crawling at the kitchen window and behind the stove. There were many light switches throughout the home that should have been labeled. The dining room light fixture never worked and one kitchen light fixture had multiple lights with only one bulb working. Doors and walls are damaged and full of marks and finger prints that were easily cleaned when I used cleaner. We were embarrassed to welcome family to such a poorly maintained home. VRBO needs to look into the maintenance of this property and residence.

The home was beautiful & almost as described in photos but the entire home needs maintenance. There are weeds growing through the pavement & the hedges are not clean trimmed anywhere. Inside the home has no microwave and there are ants throughout the entire home. We put treats out for my daughters get together and the ants ate them before we could. They had to get thrown in the trash. Again, the home is beautiful but maintenance is definitely needed. We also had an issue with roaches which was terrible because some of our girls did not want to sleep in their rooms because of it & slept on the couch instead. & above that, another huge issue is the a/c. During the day we were getting cooked, no matter how low we pushed the thermostat, the property just would not cool properly. Some of the sliding doors do not lock at all which was a big safety concern because on our first night, it was only women and girls. We noticed one of the windows was pushed out and we had to go out back at 3am to fix the latch to lock it because with the way the windows are made, you can literally jump in and out through them. In addition, There’s a creepy house out back that’s definitely not maintained & the door was ajar the entire visit. On the day that we left, it was almost fully opened which made it creepier. There was a closet that was locked and then somehow later unlocked in the same room as the window that was open. Not sure if someone came in to get something while we were away.

Beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood!

I had an overall great stay here at the property!It’s very close to the mall and Jennifer was incredibly responsive to any sort of needs or questions that I had. There are some small nitpicks I had during my stay but I think can be easily resolved the next time someone stays here:1. There’s no microwave at the property. I know it doesn’t have one listed in the amenities but I think it is odd that one (even a simple one) isn’t in the kitchen, which is needed with a small baby. 2. The backyard is very nice but looked like it hadn’t been cleaned/kept up with when I checked in. There was some trash (water bottles and juice pouches) and tall grass and I’m sure a little mowing will get it up to par. 3. The light switches in the home are very confusing and it’s hard to tell what controls what. Some labels would be nice (and also making sure all the lightbulbs are functional).4. The air conditioning is very quirky. You have to run it much lower than you think to get it to really kick on and it can take a bit for it to get moving. It seems to do better at night but that could also be because the sun had set by then too. 5. The oven doesn’t get as hot as you might expect, so you probably have to run it much hotter than needed to get the temperature where you want it. 6. The trash/recycle bins can get full very quickly depending on how many guests you have. The bins were full before we got there but Jennifer had someone come out to get them emptied while we were there.
