Menehune Shores #621 is a beautiful unit with a gorgeous view of the ocean. It is a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit with a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and complimentary Wi-Fi. There is a California king bed, a television, a ceiling fan, and a split system air-conditioning in the living room and both bedrooms. The en suite bathroom is equipped with a shower/tub combo, the second bathroom has a walk-in show The second bedroom provides two twin beds, and a ceiling fan. The living room is also cooled by split system air conditioning as well as a ceiling fan. A queen sofa sleeper supplies extra sleeping space. There is a television so you can catch up on the local news or your favorite shows. For your outdoor adventures, you will find beach chairs, and beach towels. Menehune Shores #621 sleeps 6.

Menehune Shores is conveniently located on the main beach road with easy access to some of the island’s best beaches, shopping in South Kihei or Kahului, and scenic drives to Lahaina /Kaanapali. This property is uniquely situated adjacent to the historically important 16th century Alii (Royal) Fish Pond of Kalepolepo. Protected by offshore reefs, the pond provides safe swimming for children and those wishing to avoid heavy surf. Additionally, there is a solar-heated swimming pool with barbecue grills on both the ground level and on top of the roof. The rooftop also offers some of the best views on this side of the island. There is a full bar & Indian restaurant on 1st floor/ATM for your convenience.

The unit is nice and well outfitted. It could use a more comfortable couch a rug on the cold tile floor in the living room. The view of the bay is wonderful from the lanai! Too bad we had a storm blow in for most of the week.

It was great. The view is amazing and we really appreciate going on a beach vacation and the place having beach chairs and an umbrella. You would think all would but they don’t so thank you!! We would recommend it to anyone!

This unit is in a great location with great beach access but it is not not kept up. The electrical is not great and there is dust and dirt in the corners. Also a few plumbing issues with very slow draining.

After the first night I had to wash the comforter for the sofa bed as it smelt of BO. The unit has low end finishing throughout in need of TLC. The wifi is spotty and unreliable. It’s a miracle if you can get all the burners lit on the bbq’s both on the roof and by the pool. Usually half of them will light and stay on. The location is just OK. A bit far out of Kihei for our liking. Okay so z axes

Great Location, but “A Mixed Review”

Menehune Shores is a nice, but dated condo complex. It’s centrally located, and is close to various routes to other parts of the island. The unit wascleanish, but we had to clean once we first arrived. Also, the unit is in serious need of updating. The pictures on the site look much better than reality. This applies to everything other than the kitchen, which clearly was updated within the past few years. I think we’d give a better review if the cost was cheaper. For the price, the unit should have be much nicer. Don’t get me wrong, we had a great time with BBQing on the roof, breakfast on the balcony with that amazing view. A jacuzzi would have been nice. Would we stay there again? Menehune Shores, yes. This unit, unfortunately no.

We have stayed at the Menehune Shores many times, in various units. This was our first stay on the 6th floor and I liked it. I have to say I had high hopes based on the pictures of the updated kitchen, but found the rest of the unit kind of tired. A number of the wall plugs didn’t work as the plugs fell out … too loose? We were there for 3.5 weeks but there were no cleaning supplies like a mop or swiffer-type thing so we had no way of sweeping or cleaning the floors. We like to have the breeze coming in from the lanai which could blow in anything … but couldn’t satisfy the urge to freshen up.We were there for the extraordinary weather event and we did experience water in the front bedroom - thankfully we were amble to mop that up with the towels available in the unit. It was really nice to see signs posted by the building managers / condo association about the anticipated weather event, the steps they were taking to protect the building and property, and then seeing people pitching in to help clean up after the bulk of the weather had past. We couldn’t figure out the tv and remotes but a note to the property manager had someone come by in pretty short order to explain it to us. We had some challenges with the washer and dryer … help was available for that too. All in all, thankful for a lovely holiday in one of the nicest places in the world.
