Roomy Home near Downtown Pittsburgh

The house was very clean and roomy for our family. The master bedroom had plenty of space and the two additional bedrooms were perfect for my 9 and 13 year old daughters. The property was extremely clean and the interior was modern and appeared to be recently remodeled. It was located very close to the North Shore and downtown which was also very convenient. We hope to stay there again when we visit.

A horrible experience all around w owner & VRBO.- Upon arriving the property had moths flying all over the property. Including bedrooms upstairs.- We contacted the host and left for 3-4 hours. They said they would fix the issue.- Upon returning the moth issue was worse. All over the house. - The owner apologized and said it was from the previous renter left doors open & had a bunch of people over. - They said they were unable to get someone over to fix the moth issue. Try telling that to kids who are freaked out at this point.- We told them we were leaving the property and getting a hotel room for the remainder of our stay and to please reimburse us the cost. - The owner said we had to talk to VRBO in order to get a refund. But they would approve.- This started a back & forth that has lasted 10 days .- The owner insisted on us canceling our reservation so they could rent the place out again.- Once you check in to a property through VRBO you cannot modify or cancel the reservation. VRBO cannot even do it on their end. - Despite VRBO asking the owner to approve a full refund, because we could not cancel the reservation they online reimbursed us for 1 night. 1/3 of the cost for this nightmare.- We tried to fight this with VRBO & they told us because we didn’t allow the owner to fix the issue (the next day) & sleep in a moth infested house, they were standing behind the owner. I prefer to rent from people & orgs who stand by their product/word. A Hotel is safer.

The inside of the home was clean and neat and provided everything we needed. The host was very responsive to our questions. She even was kind enough to give us a pet refund for a last minute change with not bringing our dog. We never were able to try the hot tub due to our busy schedule while visiting. Beds were very comfortable and we loved the fans in every room.

This is the perfect place to stay to visit Pittsburgh! Location is very convenient and easily accessible for Ubering into downtown. The host is super communicative and gave clear instructions for check in and check out. The home was very clean and had anything you would need for your stay!
