Redecorated old stone built house by the sea.

Fully furnished redecorated old house with all kitchen appliances and air conditioning. It is conveniently located both near the beach and town center. The town center is no more than 10 nimutes walk. All shops are there. Along the sea promenade you will find restaurants, cafe, playground or you can go fishing. The town itself is located at the edge of the Amfilochia bay on the west coast of Greece and is built amfitheatrically around the bay giving the feeling of an island. During summertime there are festivals and happenings, like theaters, concerts or dances.The property is built on 500 square meters land on a smooth slope. The house has a master bedroom, a second bedroom, living room, hallway, kitchen, shower/WC and appliances and store room. The surrounding garden has many trees (olive, lemon, almond, orange, fig tree,pear tree, tangerine, orange, bay, medlar and laurel) giving good shade to sit and enjoy. The house is located near a waterland nature reserve and the sea is excellent for sailing, canoeing or fishing. A marina is within walking distance from the property where the guests can dock boats. Sailing boats are available at a nearby town. Excellent starting point for local trips to the mountains, the west coast and the Ionic islands Corfu,Lefkas, Ithaca, Kefalonia Paxoi and others. It is also convenient to visit other summer resorts around like Astakos, Paleros Preveza Parga ect. The nearest airport is Preveza international airport and less than one hour away . Will be happy to provide more tips to enjoy yourself in the erea.
There will always be a complimentary basket with local produce for all our guests, including our own extra virgin olive oil and black olives. Although the property is self catering, we will also leave some breakfast food for you, so you do not have to run to the supermarket as soon as you arrive. We are confident you will enjoy your stay. We will always be happy to accommodate any extra requests you may have, to make your stay more pleasant.

Relaxing week

The little house has everything you need for a nice holiday. The Patio was perfect for breakfast outside early in the morning, or for dinner later in the evening. The neighbours were friendly and the beach, harbour, shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Most of all, the air conditioning works well and the house cools off real quick. (just one thing ... adding a hairdryer would be nice)

Schöner Urlaub in touristisch wenig erschlossener Gegend

Das Haus ist so schön, wie es von außen aussieht. Der Garten ist gepflegt und bietet viel Schatten. Komfortabel ist es nicht, da es ein altes Haus ist. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und bemüht, ihren Gästen den Aufenthalt angenehm zu gestalten. Wir haben sie allerdings nicht persönlich kennen gelernt. Sie bieten sehr viel Information für Ausflüge, gutes Essen in der Umgebung, u.s.w., was hilfreich war, da es kaum Tourismus in dieser Gegend gibt. Das einzige, was wir ein bisschen vermisst haben, war ein schöner Blick auf's Meer. Aber es war auch nett, einfach mitten in einer ganz normalen Wohngegend zu wohnen. Die meisten Häuser in der direkten Umgebung sind allerdings nicht so schön, wie dieses.

Abseits vom Touristentrubel verbringt man hier schöne Tage

Schönes altes Steinhaus, nicht weit entfernt vom Ortszentrum (fußläufig) und von zwei schönen Stränden (davon einer fußläufig in 10 Minuten), relativ ruhige Lage (Straße oberhalb der Hauptstraße) und um das Haus herum Platz für Sitzecke/Liege o.ä. Schöner Sitzplatz im Schatten unter einem Olivenbaum. In weiterer Entfernung mit dem Auto weitere sehr schöne Strände erreichbar: Besonders schön war das trotz Hochsaison (Mitte August) Restaurants/Cafes/Strände nicht überlaufen waren, da überwiegend einheimische Touristen nach Amfilochia fahren. Am Kai kann man riesige Wasserschildkröten beoabachten!

Our Old Stone House by the Sea

The six of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the quaint village of Amfilochia, especially our Old Stone House by the Sea, owned and managed by Makis and Helene Patronis. They made our stay very comfortable with all of the amenities we needed to make it our home. The house was clean, cool and very nicely decorated in the Greek tradition. We loved the location being walking distance only minutes from the beach and downtown. Our neighbors were very friendly and the people in the village were very welcoming. We will definitely be back and stay at Makis and Helene’s Old Stone House by the Sea again! Ya mas!

7 Wochen Auszeit in Griechenland

Es ist ein altes Haus, die Dielen knarren und keine Tür schließt richtig aber damit kann man leben.Wir waren 7 Wochen hier und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt, wenn es doch ein Problem gab hat sich der Vermieter sofort darum gekümmert. Die Zentrum nahe Lage ist optimal und wenn man mobil ist kann man sich in der Umgebung viel ansehen.Wir haben im Golf mehrere Wasserschildkröten gesehen, mit viel Glück auch aus der Entfernung von der Terrasse aus.Es gibt einige herumlaufende Katzen wovon sich eine besonders wohl bei uns fühlte und uns Täglich besuchte und wir viel Freude mit Ihr hatten. Fazit wir würden dieses Haus wieder mieten. Birgit und Jan

Amfilochia is Greece as it was before the tourist rush. This property, being my wife's birthplace, has been preserved to its original beauty and minimum intervention to its architecture.
