About Terry Wilks

I am the manager of the westernaire motel & trailer park in Gardiner mt. for 9 years now and my husband and I decided to invest more then just time into the community. this is are investment we chose, we live and work at the motel 1/2 block from the property. and are working at upgrading this investment regularly.

Terry Wilks purchased this house in 2012

Why Terry Wilks chose Yellowstone Country

my husband retired from the military & police work and wanted to spend his retirement here so we chose something we know and like to invest in are retirement. The Yellowstone area has so much to offer for so many different interests.

What makes this house unique

This unique property and central location are a great asset to us and the folks that stay with us. It has been kept up, and with my husbands keen eye upgraded, & we will continue to make the most of upgrades to provide a superior visit for are customers. It is much more beautiful then the pictures.

Convenient location just outside the north entry to Yellowstone.

  • 5 of 5

Cozy home in Gardiner more than met the needsof 3 children and 4 adults. Grocery store, souvenir shops, dining establishments within easy walking distance. Kitchen was well furnished. Wi-fi and cable kept grandkids entertained in the evenings after hiking in Yellowstone. Loved being able to stay on top of laundry. We were comfortable and felt "at home" during our stay. Would love to visit again. Thank you, Terry, for all you did to make our stay enjoyable.

Nice Little Place for Yellowstone Visitors

  • 4 of 5

The only trouble we had was getting all the sheets washed before leaving. The washer and dryer aren't very high capacity so if you have a larger group using all the beds then you'll need to plan extra time on the morning before you leave. We ended up leaving later than we hoped because of this.

We really loved the location. Right next to a tasty grill called Wild West Corral. Great elk burgers and an especially tasty salmon burger. Hot dogs for the kids seemed pricy but trust me when I say they are the best hot dog I've ever tried. The Yellowstone Arch is barely 5 minutes drive away. House is half a block from the town grocery store. Very convenient location.

Home itself has what you need for cooking, sleeping and relaxing. Nothing fancy but it is charming. Beds were a tad bit uncomfortable but bedding and pillows were good.

Terry made us feel welcome and she was very hospitable, making sure we had everything we needed.

Couldn't Have Been Better

  • 5 of 5

Husband and I, plus 2 furbabies stayed at this delightful home during our Yellowstone visit for 4 days. We've rented multiple places across the West, and I must say, this one was one of the best equipped places ever. It may sound strange, but there was even good toilet tissue, not that thin cheap stuff. Everything you needed in the kitchen, cast iron that had been taken care of. Plenty of cups, glasses, plates, etc. Spices, misc. items you could use. Ice in freezer, icy packs. Terry was a doll to work with.

Nice fence yard for our dogs. they loved it. We had elk the first night, deer one night in yard.

We wouldn't hestitate to recommend this rental. Plenty of room, good wifi,, cable. everything you need is here.

Convenient, clean & comfortable

  • 4 of 5

We loved how close the place was and it was big enough to accommodate all 8 of us comfortably. My only critiques of the place would be: 1) The wifi was very unreliable and spotty. 2) The bbq grill would not stay lit. 3)We paid a large cleaning fee ($120), but that apparently did not include doing laundry. We had to spend 3 hours on our last day washing all the sheets and towels per the owner's request. We have stayed at several VRBOs and have never been asked to do the laundry. We would still stay here again, but the next time we would take all the laundry to a laundry mat and go to breakfast!

Owner's Response: Sorry you didn't see the quick wash on the washer, I just wanted you to do a load of towels and start them drying, they take so long to dry. Sorry I missed your text. I was gardening out side. Terry

great location, perfect for our family and reason to visit the area

  • 4 of 5

Second time at this place, Terry is always quick and attentive in her communication, perfect place for a small family but with one bathroom only I would not recommend for more than 4-6 people although the house is very well equipped with bedding for even larger number. Living room feels small with too many pieces of furniture but with a little rearrangement of them we got plenty of space even for our daily yoga. Reason for my four stars is that the house needs a major overall cleaning from bottom to top, corner to corner - otherwise, we are already planning our next visit! Animal viewing from the kitchen window? Can't ask for more!

Owner's Response: I thought it was clean top to bottom did I miss a cob web? It's still to cold out to do window seals? Terry
