About Kimberly Bolos

I grew up in a small neighboring town just outside Niagara Falls and left the area to attend and eventually graduate from SUNY Geneseo. I relocated to Dallas, TX for a career opportunity but have returned to the area every summer to take in its beauty and many local attractions. Now married with small children of my own, our family sought out and purchased this vacation property. While we reside in Dallas, local relatives manage this property.

Kimberly Bolos purchased this house in 2012

Why Kimberly Bolos chose Wilson

We sought out this property because of its personal history with my family. It is the same property I would walk past with my dad on our way from the ice cream shop out to the end of the pier. We would wonder what it would be like to own and live in such a beautiful house with such a beautiful view. Western New York and this particular region hold so much natural beauty and provide so many affordable healthy activities that my husband and I want our children to share in these experiences. We share this home with you as a special place to vacation, reconnect with family and create special memories year after year.

What makes this house unique

The location is perfect! Coming from Dallas, TX it is wonderful to enter a relaxing small town atmosphere yet still have access to several activities, attractions, restaurants and shops as you would in a city. It is located across the street from a bustling boathouse, quaint upscale restaurant, and several small shops. Need some fresh vegetables? Drive down the road and stop at one of the many roadside stands whose farmers still accept payment by the honor system. We appreciate this home's proximity to Canada as well as the neighboring U.S. cities such as Lockport, Lewiston, Niagara Falls & Buffalo (quick access to Canada can be made via the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge).

Perfect

We had a wonderful time at the house, it was hard to convince ourselves to get out and see Niagara Falls! The home is beautiful and immaculately clean.

Couldn't be better!

Great house in a wonderful location with lots of room.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Wilson Lake house for 2 nights while we visited Niagra Falls - the house was

very roomy, well equipped and right on Lake Ontario. We enjoyed the sunrise and sunsets from the lawn and house. The house was very comfortable, especially the roomy living room/dining area with large picture windows facing the lake and a cozy fireplace. We were disappointed that the lake front deck had been damaged and was not available during our stay but the lawn

and patio were certainly a nice alternative. We would stay in this house again and this time have a longer stay to explore the area more thoroughly.

Excellent lakefront vacation home

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful property exceeded our expectations. The home is conveniently located, sparkling clean, well-maintained and well-equipped, with many thoughtful touches throughout. The house served as our home-base for our explorations of the area, which included Niagara Falls, a day trip to Canada, the quaint village of Lewiston, and much more. We enjoyed just sitting and enjoying the marvelous view of the lake, as well as after-dinner walks around the lovely little town of Wilson, which was tidy and safe, as were all of the surrounding areas that we explored. Our correspondence with the owner was very pleasant, and she responded promptly to our queries. We would definitely be happy to stay here again, and highly recommend it!

Great Girls Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We are a group of 5 scrapbookers who come here twice a year for a weekend retreat to relax and scrapbook. The house has plenty of room for all of us and all our stuff plus the living area is a great size for setting up some folding tables. The house is always clean and well looked after and has all the supplies we need for cooking, BBQing and relaxing. We have been coming here for over two years now. We love it and will be back again!

Amazing view in a great location.

  • 5 of 5

The view was worth it alone but the house was very nice and had many extras that made the stay even more comfortable. It was a short and scenic drive to Niagara Falls and we were so glad we decided not to stay in Niagara- way to hectic there. The peace and tranquility of this place cannot be beat and lots of options of things to do close by. We wished we had stayed a week! We walked to town for coffee and dinner and there were a surprising number of choices of places to eat. The house was the cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in several. A couple of minor suggestions would be a night light in the 2nd bathroom and luggage racks or benches so you don't have to dig through your suitcase on the floor. Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of paradise and being so easy to communicate with!

Quiet retreat on Lake Ontario

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at this quiet and peaceful home on Lake Ontario in Wilson, New York. The home is larger than the photos present and the patio and yard on the lake are amazing! We were attending a reunion in Buffalo and vacationing. The location was perfect for us! We like small town, quaint places within an easy drive to the city or attractions. We visited Niagara Falls a couple of times and shopped at the organic groceries in Buffalo and Niagara Falls. One of our favorite times was sitting in the yard relaxing and watching the fish jumping...we saw one huge Sturgeon! We also enjoyed the sun setting from the east pier a short walk to the west of the home. Kimberly, our host was very responsive and we would stay here again if we return to the area.

Western NY is full of fun activities and attractions for all ages! Niagara Falls, US and Niagara Falls, Canada are a must see. There are also several wineries & vineyard tours, farms, state parks, local festivals, and carnivals & outdoor concerts held regularly nearby and in town. This summer our family enjoyed: outdoor concerts, Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum w/several restored kid rides, Olcott Beach Carrousel Park w/several restored kid rides, Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours, walks/run along the lake shore, Splash Park in Krull County Park, Youngstown Firemen's Field Day (carnival, concerts, food!), campfires, and eating at our favorite eateries such as Viola's Submarines on Military Road in Niagara Falls after a day of shopping at the well known Niagara Factory Outlet Mall...and the list goes on!! Perhaps next summer we will charter a boat to do some Salmon fishing? The possibilities are endless!
