Perfect Oceanfront Cottage With Private Pool: Sea Glass

Sea Glass is the perfect getaway cottage on the beach with breathtaking Atlantic views from all windows, decks and balconies. With plenty of sleeping room, our quaint home has a private pool, an outside beach/poolside private shower, wireless internet access, three full bathrooms, laundry area, and comes with linens for your stay.

A large deck area overlooks the pool and ocean with rockers and adirondack chairs for you to watch the kids on the beach, the sunrise or sunset or even the dolphins at play. Both master bedrooms are accessed by the oceanfront deck and the queen and bunk rooms each have private oceanfront balconies on the sides of the home. A well-equipped, brightly-lit kitchen with large table and great-room area is centrally located and the separate laundry suite is accessible by the outdoor shower and under-home protected parking area.

Bring Fido! Emerald Isle is a pet-friendly beach and Sea Glass will allow up to 2 dogs for an additional charge of $250/dog for the week.

Weekly rental rates range depending on rental season. The base rate listed below is for a week in peak season.

We really enjoyed the house. Location was very convenient to everything and excellent beach access. The only issue was that it wasn’t very clean but the owner was very responsive and made their cleaning group aware.

Location location location!!

The beach house, beach, and pool were amazing! This was a perfect experience for our family. There were numerous great restaurants close by. This was truly special for our family.

College friends getaway

The place was great. Close to stores and restaurants. The deck and view were incredible. The pool was a nice bonus. There was a little miscommunication with the cleaning company, wasn't cleaned when we got there, but reached out and they came right over. Spotless when they left. Would definitely recommend staying there.

Our 3rd year at this property. Incredible views and beautiful new deck. This is a great house for kids with its pool, outdoor shower and overall comfortable and cozy vibe.

This oceanfront property has a million dollar view, and the covered deck let us soak it in without the sun beating down. The short walk to the beach was perfect for our multi generational family, and the pool was a terrific bonus.The homeowner and property manager were both wonderful, quick with information and repairs.A few small notes for future guests: the outdoor table's umbrella hole has an un-drilled replacement strut, so we couldn’t use an umbrella. A few boards on the ground level boardwalk are warped and raised, worth watching for with little ones. Dishes need a very thorough rinse before the dishwasher. Some ants appeared near the sink; bait traps handled it. We rented a Weber locally since the onsite grill is smaller. The laundry room is on the parking level, so we brought a clothesline to dry things underneath. Most of us bathed in the outdoor shower all week.Whoever stocked this home nailed the beach house towel hook shortage, with hooks in every bathroom and bedroom! Linens and bath towels were provided, though we had to use our beach towels for bathmats. The top bunk cushions are thin and our younger kids felt the slats and used our backup aerobed. There are plenty of plates but we were glad we brought our own serving platters, a baking sheet, and reusable pool-safe cups.This is a charming home and I loved the comfortable cottage decor. I prefer this kind of authentic beach house to a high-end mcmansion and would return in a heartbeat.

Family Getaway

This house was perfect for me and my family. The proximity to the beach made it easier to transport a baby and that goes along with that. We enjoyed the pool as a way to cool off from the heat without going on the beach.

Best beach trip yet!

We loved our first trip to Emerald Isle, in large part thanks to Sea Glass! This beautiful cottage exceeded our expectations, from the stunning oceanfront views, to the short stroll to the beach. Sea Glass is well-appointed, clean, updated, and in a lovely neighborhood with easy access to everything. Can’t wait to go back!

The beach access, pool, covered parking, and surrounding area were great. The home itself was disappointing for the price.We arrived to a home that did not feel clean. The bunk room had dried splatter on the wall, comforters with dried blood, sheets covered in black hairs, and we even found a used bar of soap on the shower head. Only 4 towels were provided for a home sleeping 11. Later, the cleaning staff replaced the comforters and brought more towels.The bunk beds were wobbly and the top bunks had only thin foam pads instead of proper mattresses. The current slats did not appear safe or provide adequate support, so we did not allow our children to sleep on the top bunks. Other issues included a broken bed, a headboard held together with 2x4s, a hidden carpet transition strip that repeatedly pierced your foot if stepped on, a dishwasher that didn't clean, a faulty stove burner, an apartment-sized refrigerator with a broken door shelf, an insecure exterior door, rusty laundry equipment, and deteriorated broken outdoor furniture.The charcoal grill advertis was a small tabletop model that could barely cook a single steak, so we had to purchase a full-size grill to prepare meals. Due to the lack of and condition of the amenities and household items provided, we also ended up purchasing towels, bedding and kitchen essentials just to make the home comfortable and functional for our stay.This property has an amazing location and potential. Overpriced for current condition

While we appreciate constructive reviews, most of what this guest has taken much time to write and show photos of were items that we would have corrected during their stay if they had reached out to us at any point to make the fixes. Our cleaner immediately brought towels and other linens when she was alerted but we can't fix things after a lengthy review/after the stay is complete. As far as the pricing goes, we would advise this and future guests to shop comparatively as they will find our oceanfront cottage (sleeps 11 but is smaller, basic but very clean) is very well-priced.

Beautiful Home

My family and I stayed at this location and it was very beautiful. You can tell the owner has been investing money into the property. New decking, railing, and very clean. The only downside is that there was only 1 trash bin to utilize for the week, but that is only trying to find something for improvement. Highly recommend this location.

Glad you had a great stay! Unfortunately, we have had two trash cans and one recycling bin but they get 'taken' since they are hard to find in stock on the island and are very expensive. Also, trash is picked up twice a week so the cans should have been emptied by the town during your stay. Thanks for staying with us!

Size of the house was perfect for my family. Enjoyed the pool and being oceanfront. For the cost of this home the owner should provide laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, trash bags, more toilet paper, and extra paper towels for their guests. For this property to be smoke-free upon arriving at the Sea Glass House we saw cigarette butts under the house and especially in the driveway. The wraparound porch was also a plus!!

Amazing views and location!

Thank you so much for sharing this property with us. The 7 of us- 5 adults and 2 small children had a wonderful week there. The location of the house could not be more perfect. The view from the living room, deck, and bed rooms were perfect. Plenty of space foe us all to be together. The pool was wonderful and the kiddos loved it so much. The ease of getting back and forth to the beach was so nice with the small kids. Check in was simple and commutation with everyone was super easy! We will def be planning another trip here❤️

It’s all about the view.

First experience with VRBO and will not be our last. Great communication all around, from booking to property owner and property management. This home had something for all ages. Loved the deck, loved the pool and loved the view. Only drawback was the size of the showers in the attached bathrooms, which was solved by the ample outdoor shower, that my husband described as magical. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

We enjoyed our stay except for 3 issues: the house had not been cleaned when we arrived for checkin (& we weren't early) and we weren't informed in advance; 2 beds did not have sheets on them which we didn't realize until the evening; the pool was very small with a dark bottom so it generally was too hot to use (of course we paid a premium because of the pool).

Perfect Place

This place was the perfect size for our family of 6 adults. There was actually a 4th kids bedroom that we didn't use that accomodates 4 kids (bunks). This cottage is perfectly situated on the beach giving both sunrises and sunsets! The pool was a nice plus; although, we didn't use it as much as we thought we would. The location on Emerald Isle is also a nice plus as it is 2 miles from the Point. We could hop on our bikes or run there easily. I spent the entire week just wishing it were mine!

We've spent many weeks at EI over the last 25 years and love every minute of our time there---all year 'round---whenever we visit our second home and know you will too!

It's the perfect home for a family or two (or even three if you're not too big!) looking for a quaint beach getaway with the privacy of your own pool, the option of bringing your pet, and being ON the beach with all the amenities that Emerald Isle offers. Stroll the tideline at sunset or pedal your bike to the food-mart on the bike path for early morning groceries or coffee. Lounge poolside or oceanside all week long and take in the amazing sunrises and sunsets over the emerald Atlantic.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

This is a unique GEM (just like finding some sea glass on the sand!) that has amazing views all the way around because it sits forward (on a 'piano key' lot) of the surrounding homes. With its private pool, this single-family home (though it is large enough for multiple families to stay!) is the perfect getaway location for a small or large group all year round. Situated at the end of Ocean Drive, Sea Glass is a private and quiet cottage in the Ocean Oaks neighborhood off Coast Guard road in a very desirable part of the island.
