Why David Hudnell chose Avon
The Outer Banks is one of the most laid back vacation spots on the East Coast. It offers great surf fishing and has also become a hot spot for windsurfers with many businesses catering to both of these sports.

Charming cottage close to the beach
The Tidewatch was perfect for our family - we were able to secure a spot next to the trail to the ocean, that was smaller in size for our family of four plus dog. The screened in porch and upper deck were perfect for enjoying sea views and fresh air, as well as avoiding the mosquitos. My daughter lived in the porch swing. The kitchen was fully stocked and the TV is newer than the one pictured. While some of the furnishings are a bit dated, it had a beach-y feel, was very comfortable and perfect for our holiday. There were also extras such as beach chairs and umbrellas that we used that were in the shower room downstairs. In addition to being close to the beach, my kids loved that the Dariy Queen was literally about 2 blocks away. Northern Avon beaches are lovely because you can walk past the houses to an uninhabited beach area filled with a diverse shorebird population We would definitely return to Tidewatch!
Much nicer than I expected. Great location. We felt secluded, yet there was a grocery store nearby.
This was a nice summer cottage on a quiet street and very close to the beach access. The kitchen was well-stocked. The deck was amazing!
Great home - Great Location
Charming neighborhood with nearly beach front access. Close to shops and restaurants but far from busy especially on the beach.
Owners were very attentive to our needs - hope to return!
This house was perfect for me a few of my friends for a week. It’s super close to the beach and easy to get to! Definitely would stay there again!
Home of the world famous Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. The Pamlico sound has become a treasured destination for windsurfing and parasailing. The surf fishing is world famous, with many local boats for hire for a deep sea fishing expedition that will leave memories for a liftime. The local resturants have a pipeline to some of the freshest seafood that you will ever taste. There are also many wholesale fish markets to bring home and prepare yourself.
Tidewatch is located a short drive from Nags Head, home of many outlet shops. A lttle futher down the road enjoy the dunes of Jockeys Ridge and Kitty Hawk, the site of the Wright brothers first flight. Take a ride in the southern direction to Hatteras Village and catch the ferry to historic Ocracoke Island where the famous pirate Blackbeard left his mark.
