Unfortunately, I cannot recommend hosting this and their group. At the time of the booking, we specifically asked whether they had read our House Rules and whether they planned to have any visitors. They confirmed they had read the rules and explicitly stated they would have no visitors. The reservation also became unnecessarily difficult due to repeated resistance to our standard pre-arrival requirements. Also, outlined in the House Rules. On the day of check-in, they requested permission to bring five additional visitors, despite our clearly stated visitor policy and maximum occupancy. When we politely enforced the House Rules they had already acknowledged, they became dissatisfied and later reflected that frustration in their review. This review is particularly disappointing because it criticizes us for enforcing rules that were fully disclosed and agreed upon by the guest. Additionally, members of the group entered the private casita area without permission (Casita is clearly disclosed in the listing and is not part of the reserved accommodation). This experience has significantly impacted how we host. It led us to disable Instant Booking and reinforced the importance of carefully screening reservations to ensure guests understand and respect published House Rules. I encourage future hosts to communicate expectations clearly before accepting a reservation from this guest.
