Best sunset ever

It was a really nice and lovely holiday for us. We enjoyed the sunsets. They were really worth to watch. Lovely view :) We enjoyed mornings also. Beautiful birds and sea :) They made my morning runs memorable :)

Perfect beach getaway!

  • 5 of 5

I have been coming to Anna Maria Island since I was a kid. I absolutely LOVE this island - so much charm without any of the big condos! I'm a huge traveler and this is the only spot I come back to year after year.

Now for the house: It is in a GREAT location. Very easy to get to any part of the island and it's a easy trip to Publix or walking distance to two great breakfast places. The trolly picks you up at the end of the street to take you anywhere else. I read the previous reviews and the house has definitely had many updates since 2014. Except the bathrooms - but I kind of love them for their vintage look. Water pressure was great so no complaints here! The screened in porch is my favorite part of the house. It's where we ate every dinner. The chairs are plastic and maybe could be something sturdier? But I didn't even think about it until I read the other review after we left. Beds are very comfortable - the rental agency said they were newly purchased. I think overall the house has the perfect feel that I was looking for. It's very homey and BEACHY!! I think sometimes people are looking for a hotel and this is not it - and thats the best part about Anna Maria Island!

The pool is great. It's a community pool so you share with the other 3 houses, but we met some wonderful people and there was never an issue. The plants around everywhere gives it a great tropical Florida feel.

I would definitely recommend this place. Great for 2 families with a few kids, one large family, adults getaway, girls weekend, really anyone. If you have a very large group, rent the other 3 houses (I think through Mike Norman?) and you are for sure to have an amazing weekend.

Great Beach House!

  • 5 of 5

We travel to Anna Maria Island every year and have rented many different homes. This was by far our favorite! The views of the beach are amazing. We loved not having to walk up and down a bunch of stairs and the screened porch was a great spot to watch the kids on the beach and the sunset every night. The shared pool was great and the home had everything we needed. The rental staff was friendly and helpful. The house was spotless and we would definitely recommend this rental property if you are traveling to Anna Maria Island!

View is Nice; House COULD be too!

  • 2 of 5

My husband & I, our son & his wife, & four grandkids stayed at Caya Casa 4-11 Oct 2014. House is ocean front which was great; beautiful sunsets, wide beach, lots of seashells. When we arrived, light by front door was broken and flopped over sideways, front door needs painted, and key wouldn't work in front door. Bad first impression. House has lots of room in LR, kitchen, and BR areas. We did not find bunk beds rickety as described in another review; however, I had called after I read that review, so some repair could have been done before we arrived. I was told to call if we had any problems when we arrived and they would be taken care of right away. House needs updating and painting. Both bathrooms are off hallways and both are very tiny! The oceanside screened porch could be a great asset if it were furnished decently. There are bar stools on the porch, and every one has tears in the seat. Not sure why they are there as there are no bar height tables. The table on the porch is a long wooden table, but the chairs around it are very cheap plastic chairs and the table is too high for children and short adults to sit at to eat. It would be much nicer with some decent seating and then one or two smaller tables with good chairs. When we arrived, we had plenty of bath and hand towels, but only one wash cloth. We did not have any dish cloths or towels, even though all dishes have to be washed, dried, and put away before leaving. I called the office and was told they could put in a work order for the wash cloths and dish cloths and towels; however, someone would have to purchase them on their personal time so they didn't know when we'd get them. Unacceptable! We were told we could buy our own and would be reimbursed. Still waiting to see if we get reimbursed. I checked out the pool area before telling the kids there was a pool available. Good thing I did because we wouldn't let the kids swim in the pool since it needed to be vacuumed and scrubbed as there was both dirt/debris on the bottom and algae everywhere. I called about the pool when we went in for lunch on Mon and was told they would let maintenance know it needed to be cleaned. I was told it usually only took a day for them to get it cleaned. She blamed it on all the rain they'd had even though we had not had any rain since we got there on Sat afternoon. Pool had still not been cleaned when we left Sat morning. In my opinion customer service/satisfaction is not a high priority.

Pictures are deceiving/ I actually stam 8/30/2014-09/6/2014.Calendar on web page doesn't work

I actually stayed from 8/30/2014-09/6/2014.Calendar on web page doesn't work. This place needs serious upgrades. All chairs on sun deck are unsafe to sit in, electrical outlets on deck do not work, both bathrooms are so small you have to sit on toilet to close door. The bunk bed was so shaky we could not use. When we checked in, all dishes in cabinet were so filthy we had to wash them all. The place is right next to public parking, so you have constant traffic and cars blocking us in. When we were there they had one dryer that worked for four units. Beautiful view, but definitely not worth the price. Would not stay here again.
