This spacious contemporary penthouse condo with a vaulted ceiling in the living room is bright, clean, sunny and cheerful with gorgeous ocean views from the living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and the large private balcony. You can relax while overlooking the promenade, the dunes and the wide stretch of beach and ocean. While drinking our coffee in the morning, we watch the playful dolphins below as the sun rises over the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.
We have made many new purchases which include two sofas in the living room, one is a queen sleeper.
The bed in the master bedroom is a Wyndham Simmons king-size pillow-top mattress. For the dining room we purchased a contemporary table with 8 chairs, measuring 72” with the leaf in, enough for 8 people to eat meals together if they wish.
We also purchased a new range/oven with an above-range microwave, both in stainless steel.
We have also purchased Palm Beach Shutters for the master bedroom windows which almost cover the entire east wall. When opened there is no obstruction of the magnificent ocean views. The ocean sounds will lull you to sleep at night.
We have tile flooring throughout the living room, dining room, kitchen, both bathrooms and the hallway. Carpets cover the bedroom floors. The kitchen has also been renovated with beautiful granite counter tops.
The hall bathroom has been totally renovated.
The living room and both bedrooms all have flat screen wall-mounted TVs. There is a DVD player in the living room and free WIFI throughout. This condo comes with a covered assigned parking space under the building and additional parking is available in the lot if more than 2 guest passes are purchased. Bike racks are located under the building so you can bring your bike or rent one in town.
This condo sleeps 6 in beds; there is a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen and a double bed in the second bedroom and a queen sofa sleeper in the living room.
We love the wide stretch of private beach for Sea Colony guests only. There are life guards on the beach in the summer . Beach chairs and toys are available for rent or you can bring your own. It is much less crowded than the beach in town, and much much less crowded than Rehoboth or Ocean City beaches.
Sea Colony has 24-hour security. A vacation in Sea Colony can run the gamut from beach fun to tax-free shopping to golfing, tennis and water sports. The privacy of the 'quiet resort' allows guests to sunbathe and enjoy the soothing ocean breezes in peace. Amusement parks and outlet shopping centers are not far and they provide more variety of family-friendly fun.
This world-class resort tennis facility offers an astounding 34 courts along with tennis clinics, camps and lessons by teaching professionals. Golf courses nearby include two dozen courses featuring waterfront and forest layouts designed by Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player. Sea Colony also organizes weekly events such as bingo, camp fires on the beach and other fun family activities.
The town of Bethany is only .5 miles north of Sea Colony, an easy walk to the boardwalk, restaurants, bookstore, and many other specialty shops. The library in town allows summer vacationers to get a card and use their services which include a nice variety of DVDs and books. We enjoy many of the fine restaurants in Bethany and Oceanview, and if you want to go a bit further Fenwick, Rehoboth and Ocean City.

Guest passes, which are purchased at Marketplace at check-in, are required for all unit renters 4 years old or older. They are to be kept on your person while in the resort. They allow you to use all amenities and to park your car/s. If you purchase more than two guest passes, you can received two parking passes, one is a reserved space under the building and the second is an unreserved spot in the larger outside lot. The purchase price for the weekly passes for 2018 are below:
January 1 - May 4: $12; May 5 - June 8: $20,; June 9 - September 14: $40; September 15 - September 21: $20; September 22 - December 31: $12
IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THIS UNIT DOES NOT REQUIRE OWNERS FEES OR MANAGEMENT FEES. YOU ARE REIMBURSED FOR THE $275 SECURITY DEPOSIT WHEN CONDO IS FOUND IN GOOD CONDITION AND KEYS ARE RETURNED TO OWNER'S MD ADDRESS. THE ONLY ADDITIONAL FEES FOR THIS UNIT ARE THE VRBO FEES WHICH ARE ABOUT 5% OF YOUR RENTAL AND A SMALL CLEANING FEE. THERE ARE NO HOTEL TAXES OR SALES TAXES IN DELAWARE.

About Beverly Catron
I am a pediatric occupational therapist who has always loved the ocean though I was raised in the Midwest in Illinois. When my two children were young we came from Bethesda, Maryland to many beaches along the eastern seaboard, including Rehoboth and Bethany Beach Delaware and even the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I always dreamed of having my own place on the oceanfront. Just last year I accomplished that dream when my son and I bought this beautiful condo in Sea Colony. We are enjoying it immensely and look forward to sharing it with friends, family, and guests. Why Beverly Catron chose Bethany Beach
Bethany Beach quickly became our favorite vacation spot because it was so close to our home and we could be on the beach the same day we arrived. We like its small town, quiet atmosphere and family orientation. We go to Rehoboth or Ocean City, just 20 - 30 minutes away for outlet shopping, amusement parks, and bike riding on the boardwalk. We chose Sea Colony because it is right on the ocean with beautiful views. We love the activities provided in the summer for the families in the Sea Colony community. The shuttle service provided in the summer months makes getting around the resort very easy.
What makes this Condo unique
We specifically chose this condo because of its gorgeous views of the ocean from the balcony and most rooms inside the condo. It is spacious, bright and sunny, and clean from top to bottom. We love the large rooms and vaulted ceiling. In the summer, as we drink our coffee we enjoy watching beautiful sunrises and playful dolphins from our living room and large balcony. There are beach combers on the sand, children and adults in the pools and walkers on the promenade. In the winter we love to watch the fire in the fireplace, while also viewing the ocean as we have our early evening glass of wine.

Very nice unit. Parking spaces and access to the beach were hard to find.
The review is of my stay and that was not 5 stars because the weather was difficult and there was a lot of construction going on this time of year. I was basically there by myself. The construction only disturbed me one day and the worker quieted down after I talked with him. Back to the unit. The master bed is extremely comfortable. Having the master bedroom on the beach side is so quiet. You can hear the ocean from all the forward rooms. View is worth everything. No matter the weather seeing the ocean in all its different states is awesome. Being on the top floor also is quiet not having anyone over you and having the highest view. Beach is close and easy to access and enjoy a stroll everyday on the beach (if the weather cooperates. Kitchen is small but big enough for breakfast and lunch and I ate out each night. Overall a nice place to stay. It would be hard to find a better situation in Bethany.

Spacious, comfortable, excellent location!
The condo was wonderful.... Great location -- beach front with great view and close to town. Very comfortable -- 2 bedrooms with lots of space throughout. The king in tbe master bedroom was one of the most comfortable we've slept in while traveling. The condo provided almost all of the comforts from home!
The resort has a private beach. This became quite clear on Saturday! Beach was easily accessible.The reserved parking spot was very convenient.
Beverly is great! We've been renting from owners for about 25 years. Beverly is one of the most organized owners. She provided important information before our trip. Also, the condo had notes in important places with important instructions and information. This was very helpful.

Great Location and plenty of room for 5 people
Condo is oceanfront and very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and plenty of room to relax, watch TV and enjoy the sunsets.

Location, location, location
Our group included tennis players, beach lovers, and readers. Beverly made everything very easy for our arrival, and we were delighted to be able to see four tennis courts to the front of our building and the beautiful Atlantic beach to the back. The parking space was even perfectly located just a few steps from the elevator! The unit is well-equipped, with tips for trouble-shooting any technological issues that might arise. There was plenty of room for all, and the chairs on the balcony made it a pleasure to watch the sunrise. At the end of our trip, when an item we left was found, Beverly personally contacted us to ensure that it could be returned, if it we wanted it to be returned. We can certainly recommend this unit for future guests.

Very comfortable & Spacious
The guest bath was beautifly updated. Bright & well lighted rooms. Accommodating to have A TV in each bedroom. & larger kitchen table. Beverly - thanks for replying to questions so promptly. Would suggest to future guests to purchase lanyards for the newer beach/pool passes ahead to have readily avail for when to show sea colony staff when accessing the beach & a key pfab or keychain for room keys. Try the Bethany Boathouse across the street on Friday nights( live music) .

NO SALES TAX IN DELAWARE, NO HOTEL TAX; ON THIS UNIT THERE ARE NO RESERVATION FEES, NO MANAGEMENT FEES, NO OWNER'S FEES. Sea Colony requires the purchase of a weekly guest pass for all people 4 years and older. These costs vary depending on the season. See details in description of this ad. You pay Sea Colony for these passes at check in. The guest passes allow you one or two parking places (one reserved under the building) and access to all amenities offered by the Sea Colony Resort. There is a $99 cleaning fee for all rentals. A small VRBO service is applied to this transaction, approximately 5-9% depending on amount of transaction. Parking: 1 reserved parking space under the building and 1 space in larger outdoor lot. If two guest passes are purchased, a parking pass for the reserved spot is given to renter at check in. If a third guest pass is purchased, a second pass will be given to renter for unreserved parking. No smoking, no pets. We keep our prices low by having the renter provide sheets, pillowcases, and towels for kitchen and bathroom. Security fee is returned when condo is found in good condition and the keys are returned to owner's Maryland address.
