About this property

Waterfront Home on coast near town of Korcula, Croatia

AdriaticHome offers a comfortable three-bedroom vacation home surrounded by gardens directly on the Adriatic Sea. The 135-sq metre, two-and-a-half bath home sleeps six and is located directly on the sea in Tri Žala (three bays), three kilometers west of Korcula's old town. From a quiet road, steps lead to the yellow stucco and stone home. One enters the main floor into the kitchen; facing the sea to the front are a living room and bedroom. Outside a 35-square metre terrace offers a panoramic view of the ocean and gardens.

Upstairs are another two bedrooms (one with single beds; the other with double bed) with parquet wood floors and a second full bathroom. The lower level is another large living room area with a small kitchen and toilet and another terrace in front. Private stairs from this level lead down gardens to a gazebo and then from there to the Adriatic.

Outside the bedroom and living room is a 35-square meter terrace with a splendid 180-degree sweeping view of the ocean. The water in front is the Peljesac Channel across to the Sveti Ilija mountain (961 meters high) on Peljesac Peninsula. AdriaticHome incorporates traditional masonry and stone work in a setting directly on the sea. Flowers and plants decorate a series of terraced gardens and corners for relaxation. A tiny house off the property has a washing machine, and another area has a large outdoor grill. The house is rented in its entirety so no one else will be there during your stay.

The area is great for windsurfing and other sports including boating. A tiny uninhabited island, Mulic, is about a 10-minute swim away. Flowers and plants decorate a series of terraced gardens and corners for relaxation. The house has Wifi and air conditioning/heating nd a new large covered gazebo in one of the areas of the garden

Fantastic house on a fantastic island!
We loved the house and the location...the view is breathtaking so every minute is pleasurable. Being able to swim in the sea from the bottom of the garden was amazing - a daily swim to the islet and back was great for my triahtlon training, and the coast road is one of the most picturesque places to run. Our three year old soon got the hang of surf shoes, rubber ring and steps and our 10 year old similarly loved being able to swim - and also to fish - without having to travel and it all meant we could be back up on the veranda for lunch and siesta. Plus there is the added bonus of being able to watch the windsurfers, kite surfers and yachts in the afternoon and early evening... we were so inspired we learnt to windsurf at the sailing school in Korcula. The house is a real home away from home, so we could relax with the kids (no delicate ornaments to be broken and lots of games to be played), and as adults with a great jazz selection of CDs. Korcula Town is beautiful - we had some lovely meals, dark chocolate ice cream and Croatian cakes...and there was always something going on in the harbour to watch. We ventured further afield to try local macaroni, to the sandy beaches at Lumbarda (by bike) and Mljet National Park on a sailing boat. A perfect holiday and we will definitely be coming back. Thanks so much.
