Charming Penthouse apartment with amazing views

This brand new spacious penthouse apartment is the perfect holiday getaway with magnificient views into Lauterbrunnen Valley and the Breithorn. The large bedroom has a king size bed to comfortably sleep two and comes with parquet flooring. Another two guests can be added on the pull out couch in the sitting room. The sitting/dining area is tiled and the apartment has underfloorheating. The balcony has georgeous views into Lauterbrunnen Valley as well as to the Breithorn. A special view is featured by the skylight looking direktly on the famous Staubbach fall. High ceilings and wooden beams give the apartment a spacious but comfortable swiss chalet style feel.
The sitting area with dining table comfortably seats 4 guests. In the living area, tv and dvd player are provided. The brand new kitchen is fully equipped. There are two mountainbikes free for use as well as high speed internet with wireless option. On ground floor there is a heated ski and boot storage and parking is provided.

This is a wonderful spot to stay in in Lauderbrunnen. It is away from the busy center of town near the train station where most of the hotels are but is still close enough to be able to walk every where you want to be. The apartment is clean, organized and spacious. It had every thing we needed.

What a spot!

We had an amazing time in Lauterbrunnen at this cute apartment. Deniz was very receptive and responsive. The scenery is breathtaking! The walk to town is a bit long, especially in the rain, so I would recommend familiarizing yourself with the bus schedule (stop is right outside) if you don't have a car or bike. 2 adults and 2 older teens fit perfectly in the space, and the kitchen was well-equipped. We would definitely stay again!

A week in paradise

The apartment was very comfortable, very easy to live in. We really enjoyed the balcony with its view of the mountains and the waterfalls. The kitchen was well equipped, and after a long day of sightseeing, it was nice to be able to just fix some thing and eat in. The location was central to all the activities we wanted to participate in.

The worst week in Lauterbrunnen

Arriving on the train with our suitcases we walked 20 minutes to the location. There we found a housing community where all the identical six unit houses were identified by a single letter. We spent hours trying to find the unit. We soon realized either Deniz had given us the wrong house letter and unit # or we had been scammed. The house letter and unit number we had been given by Deniz WASN'T our apt. With no cell battery we asked locals to help us but it was impossible with the wrong information. At 9:30 p.m. in the dark and rain one of us stumbled and took a nasty fall ending up in the hospital for 3 days with a concussion and other significant injuries. The other one of us got a terrible cold. Deniz was not empathetic, instead blamed us for our cell phone dying while describing her error as just a typo. Her error cost us our entire week in Lauterbrunnen, an incredible amt of worry about the injuries sustained in the fall and a copious amount of time communicating with our insurance provider at home. This bare bones apt is up 2 flights of stairs. One of the 3 light bulbs was out in the kitchen so to prepare meals we used a bedroom lamp. No detergent for washing clothes. No Welcome Book (we had to text Deniz for the Wi-Fi password). We used Google translate to determine the settings on the w/d. One curtain in the bedroom was falling off the rod so we had to find a way to block out light and ensure privacy. Just 2 bath towels for the entire week.This was no vacation.

Fantastic apartment at the heart of Lauterbrunnen

A little piece of heaven

We spent 10 days in the Lauterbrunnen area based on videos and reviews. It did not disappoint. Our VRBO had amazing views out every window and the skylight looked up at an amazing waterfall. I highly recommend our VRBO.

Incredible apartment

Deniz was great to work with. She gave us hiking recommendations as well as tips for navigating the trains and busses. The apartment is very nice and has incredible views. It’s a 10 minute walk to restaurants, shops, and hiking trails. A truly incredible place to stay.

Great Location, Great Apartment!

My wife, 9 year old daughter and I just returned from a fantastic trip in Switzerland. We stayed at this apartment for a week in July. Deniz, the owner, was very responsive during the booking process and was quick to answer any questions we had both before and during our stay. The apartment appears very new and all appliances were in good working order. It was also nice to have a washer/dryer. The views from the place are amazing. As you eat on the deck, you can enjoy the snow capped mountains and while your doing dishes at the kitchen sink you have a direct view of Staubbach Falls. The location is very convenient. The bus stop is literally right outside the front door and comes every half hour for most of the day. If you would prefer, its a short 10-15 minute walk into town or the Lauterbrunnen train station (uphill for part of the way). There are several options for buying groceries (bakeries, Coop supermarket, cheese shop, meat shop), or for eating out at hotel restaurants. Prior to our trip, we had a tough time deciding where to stay. Lauterbrunnen turned out to be a great choice for us. It was very convenient to get to the Jungfraujoch, as this trip should be based upon the day's weather. It was also accessible to the waterfalls and many hiking trails in the area. And, if you would prefer to go into Interlaken or further, its a good jumping off point. As a point of reference, we went hiking around Gelmersee one day and this trip was very doable. In summary, our family would highly recommend this apartment for its location, cleanliness, comfort and communicative owner. Thanks for a great week!

Nothing short of amazing!

The pictures do not lie! This apartment was immaculate, spacious and very comfortable. The views were absolutely breathtaking as well. It was within walking distance to the village, train and restaurants. The owner was very friendly and so easy to work with. We will definitely return, as this area of Switzerland was so incredibly beautiful we almost can't believe it.

Wonderful comfortable base camp in spectacular setting

This lovely apartment is everything as advertised and more. I highly recommend this for travelers to the Lauterbrunnen area. It is a prefect base camp to adventure the entire area, a few minutes by bus from train connections everywhere, or a lovely 10 minute walk. Photos are accurate and show how spacious and comfortable and well-equipped the apartment is. The view of the falls and mountains is stunning. The owner is extremely helpful, responsive, knowledgeable, and I would highly recommend this rental. My only complaint: our stay was too short!

Imagine the Rockies on Steroids!!

What a lifelong memorable experience we had in Lauterbrunnen. You will not believe how beautiful the surroundings are. It seems surreal. It is like your on a movie location. However, you are surrounded by working farms. There are has many tourist attractions, but has not lost it's small village appeal. We traveled to several areas in Switzerland, but this was our favorite. We would like to mention the great help Deniz was to us in booking and the feeling that you already have a friend in your travel destination. I never once felt anxious about the foreign transactions for reserving the condo, etc. The condo/apartment was as very nice, if not better, than advertised. GREAT VIEW, great location, everything you could want. Thank you Deniz P.S. I had wanted to go Paragliding (Tandem) but the afternoon wind was not favorable. I stopped in the Airtime Cafe the next morning as we were leaving the area for Zermatt. The counter person remembered that I had been disappointed about not getting to go the afternoon before. She asked it I would like to go up today. I told her that we were leaving right away for Zermatt. She inquired around, and then came back smiling. "They can take you up right now". Thirty minutes later I was flying in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Another bucket list items checked off.

Breathtaking and Beautiful

Lauterbrunnen might be one of the most beautiful places on earth. Staying at this apartment puts you in a perfect spot to appreciate the views of the valley and the sound of the waterfalls. This was a spectacular place to spend a honeymoon. Also, Deniz was very friendly and helpful in terms of sharing her knowledge of the area and in terms of recommending activities. Beautiful!

We really had a great time at this apartment. The views alone are reason to stay. We enjoyed many evenings on the balcony enjoying a glass of wine while listening to the distant roar of the waterfall and admiring the color of the snow-capped mountains as the sun set in the distance. The apartment itself was very open and clean. The kitchen was fully equipped and even had a fondue pot which we used one evening with cheese bought from the local COOP. Although the apartment is a short distance from Lauterbrunnen, it is easily accessible using the post bus stop next to the campground. However, we walked the majority of the time back and forth to town and the scenery was stunning. We would definitely return to this apartment when visiting Switzerland!

Perfect..Just as advertised

Sadly packing up in the morning after 4 wonderful days in delightful Deniz's apartment. We were astonished by the beauty of this valley, and misty rain and clouds didn't really diminish it's pleasure. Deniz thinks the reason we dragged ourselves out of bed each day was the hikes and mountain air, but I fear the comfortable bed and surroundings may have had something to do with this. We cooked, enjoyed the outside dining, and marveled at the views. We rented a car at the airport in Geneva, and jumped in it or on the train each day. Deniz loves her apartment, and it shows. We did too.

Great apartment, great views, great stay!

My husband and I just returned from a great stay at Deniz's apartment which is just a great location for visits to all the little mountain towns. The views from the apartment are spectacular! The apartment is nicely furnished, very clean with a well equipped kitchen. The washer/dryer in the bathroom a definite plus. We enjoyed the use of the bikes that she provides as well. Deniz is so easy to work with and willing to help in any way possible. We hope to return to this beautiful valley and to the same apartment someday soon!

A truly wonderful place that will fulfill all your needs. Spacious living, well-equipped kitchen, good beds and a great view. We could not think have wished for a better holiday apartment. Wish we could have extended our stay!

While a little out of the way, it was the perfect home for my girlfriend and I in Switzerland. It had spectacular views of the Lauterbrunnen valley, the Staubbach Falls and even the Alps. It's so picture perfect that when you walk out of the apartment and take a stroll round the back, you'll be greeted by a charming little stream gently flowing with crystal clear alpine water framed against the towering Alps in the background. The furnishing was great (matching colors too!) and we were pleasantly surprised at just how well maintained and clean the place was. The space was more than enough for the two of us, and we think it can comfortably accommodate a family of 4 if need be. It was very well equipped too. We spent many lazy afternoons whipping up our own meals (honey baked chicken with traditional rösti) with the fully equipped open-air kitchen. The only problem we had was access to amenities like the supermarket and restaurants as they were at least a 10-20 minutes walk away. But after a couple of days staying there, those walks became extremely pleasant because of the scenic routes it forced us to take. If that's still too long a walk, the included bicycles (the apartment comes with access to a pair) more than make up for the somewhat far out location. It's great exercise too, especially in the crisp mornings! We usually travel a lot during the summer, and of all the places we've been so far, Switzerland was our favourite. And we owe it largely to the warmth and comfort that this quaint apartment that we called home for the 7 days we were there. Thanks Deniz! Michael & Angelique

Lovely apartment -- clean, spacious, and brand new

We loved our visit to Lauterbrunnen -- this apartment was perfect for us. It was brand new and well designed. The rooms were large and bright with a magnificent skylight that had a view of the waterfall nearby. There was a spacious balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains and we enjoyed dining outdoors as well as just sitting and relaxing. The kitchen had everything needed for preparing meals and was well stocked with tools and appliances. We especially loved the washer and dryer which was located in the bathroom -- since we stayed in the apartment for a week, having a washer/dryer so convenient was a wonderful luxury. While the apartment is located a little outside of town, it was very easy to get around -- there is a bus stop just steps away and we discovered a lovely walk along the river that got us to the center of town in just 10 minutes. There is so much to do in the area and we enjoyed hiking, going to the Jungfraujoch, seeing the waterfalls and visiting the charming towns in the area -- the homemade Alpen cheese and goat cheese in Gimmelwald was amazing! The owner, Deniz, was terrific to work with -- she was very pleasant and extremely helpful. We would highly recommend this apartment -- it was truly wonderful!

very pleasant stay in the most beautiful places

After reading earlier reviews, we decided to go with Deniz's apartment instead of the hotels during our stay in the valley since we were traveling with a three year old. And that really made our trip a memorable one. The apartment was impeccable and its location just ideal.. Enjoyed the different views from each window. the apartment is equipped with everything that you might possibly need during your stay. Deniz was very accommodating about everything and also offered to have an extra cot and a high chair for our toddler. Would definitely recommend this to anyone planning on visiting the valley.

Beautiful spacious apartment in great location

This apartment is both very spacious (one seperate large bedroom and a very large living room) and very well equiped with wifi, flatscreen tv, dvd etc. It's new and spotlessly clean. There are two bikes for when it's not snowing! The location is excellent-just 5 min bus ride/15 min walk from the centre of Lauterbrunnen. Great location if skiing in Wengen, Grindlewald and Murren. Even more popular in summertime it seems. What made the holiday special though was the incredibly helpful service from Deniz-it's owner. Helped with train tickets, restaurant booking etc-fantastic. We were blessed with great snow and the kids have voted it the best ski holiday ever! I agree. Thoroughly recommended.

The views of the balcony and Windows to the surrounding mountains and cliffs in the valley are magnificient. The famous Staubbach fall is visible from almost all windows, my special feature, a skylight from the sitting room shows the falls illuminated at night which is absolutely stunning. From the deck you can see the Murren Falls and more waterfalls in the valley. The apartment is airy and spacious for a perfect stay.
