Summary:
Classic Mt. Hood A-frame for up to four guests, with two upstairs queen bedrooms, a private-to-your-stay hot tub, a wood-burning stove, work nook, and wooded outdoor area. The cabin is near US-26, so some road noise is possible. The mini-splits are temporarily fan-only: there is currently no working A/C, and heat is provided by wall heaters and the wood stove.
The Space:
This is a vertical, multi-level A-frame with two queen bedrooms and two beds total. Both bedrooms are upstairs, reached by stairs including a spiral staircase; there is no sleeping loft or main-floor bedroom. The only full bathroom is on the main level.
The living room has a usable wood-burning stove in the stone hearth. A separate propane/gas stove near the back door is out of order and must not be used. The three mini-split heads are temporarily fan-only and do not provide active heating or air conditioning while repair is pending.
The hot tub and outdoor fire pit are for registered guests. Outdoor fires depend on current restrictions and safe conditions; fuel is not guaranteed. The cabin is pet-friendly, but the outdoor fence should not be treated as escape-proof.
Guest Access:
Guests have the entire cabin with no shared interior spaces. Self check-in uses a physical key in the lockbox to the left of the bright yellow front door; the current code is provided only in secure reservation check-in details.
The gravel driveway fits up to two standard passenger vehicles, or three small cars parked carefully. A washer and dryer are available.
The Neighborhood:
The cabin is in Rhododendron's Woodlands area near US-26, with access to Mt. Hood recreation, dining, and river areas by car. It has a wooded cabin setting, but it is near highway access and nearby homes rather than fully secluded.
Getting Around:
A car is recommended. Use the onsite gravel driveway for up to two standard vehicles, or three small cars parked carefully. Confirm oversized vehicles or trailers before arrival.
Other Things to Note:
Both bedrooms are upstairs and the only full bathroom is on the main level. There is no sleeping loft. The mini-splits are temporarily fan-only, so the cabin currently has no working A/C; wall heaters and the living-room wood stove provide heat. A separate propane/gas stove is out of order.
A recent guest reported a backed-up shower drain and a continuing drip. Repair confirmation is pending; contact the host before booking if this current maintenance item would materially affect your stay.
The home is pet-friendly and cannot be guaranteed allergen-free. Non-down or hypoallergenic bedding is not guaranteed unless confirmed before arrival. Road traffic may be audible.
