The cottage is located in the quiet part of the small Duynopgangh Park, on a 500 m² lot with gardens. It’s right next to a small “canal” facing the sand dunes. There are two parking spaces in front of the house. In addition to the south-facing patio with seating for 6 and 2 lounge chairs, there is a thatched summer house with an electric grill and garden chairs. The well-maintained 120 m² house offers every comfort. The spacious living room features a fireplace for cozy evenings and a reading nook next to the furniture. The open kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could want. The large table seats 6 adults and one child in a high chair for a relaxed meal. On the first floor, next to the bathroom with a toilet and shower, is the utility room with a washer, dryer, and a second refrigerator. The upper floor has three bedrooms: one with a double bed and a sitting area with a TV, one with a double bed, and one with two single beds—all with ample closet space, a bathroom (bathtub/shower & toilet), and storage space for luggage.<br><br><br>Sports and recreational activities: Wide, clean sandy beaches for swimming, awarded the “Blue Flag” (rated “very good” by the ADAC). There are kilometers of biking and hiking trails through the sand dunes, flower fields, and nature reserves. Bicycle rentals are available a short distance away. The neighboring park features a golf course with a restaurant, a tropical swimming pool with play areas for children, and a sauna with a solarium. You’ll also find mini-golf, tennis courts, horseback riding, and fishing nearby.<br><br>Excursions: In the wider area, you can take various excursions to many small, old Dutch villages, the towns of Schagen and Alkmaar, and the island of Texel near Amsterdam, with its museums and events. Den Helder offers, among other things, Fort Kijkduin, the Maritime Museum, the Cape Holland theme park, and the Käthe Kruse Doll Museum.
