Special Price! - contact us ! Shipyard Condominiums are located in the Truman Annex Complex which is located 2 blocks from Duval Street and all of the Old Town Key West attractions. The properties are also located ¼ mile from one of the best beaches on the island. The Shipyard units are single level condominiums which have private courtyards on the first level or balconies on the second level. This two bedroom, one bath gem is conveniently located and overlooking the Truman Waterfront Park and walking paths. Recently updated with new furniture and linens, this a perfect place to rewind and relax! All properties are outfitted with washer/dryer, pots, pans, towels, linens, have central air conditioning, off street parking and pool access.
Please note: The minimum rental period is 28 nights.

We have since had all furniture in the living area replaced, along with new outdoor furniture. The electrical plate has been replaced along with a brand new dishwasher. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very good location - nice view off rear deck. Furniture dated and queen bed quite uncomfortable. Unusable ripped chair on front deck. Electrical outlets in poor condition - some with no plates and others loose (hazardous). Stopper in bathroom sink not working. As compared to friends' rentals in SY Condos - overall condition not nearly as nice. Needs updating. Would recommend with updates.

It is a wonderful location, a but terrible unit.

It is a wonderful location, a but terrible unit. Broken floor tile thru out the unit with some of it loose which the owners did attempt to cover up with a throw rug. Tile in bath room particularly bad with dirty grout where it wasn’t completely missing. Bathroom walls were in need of patching and painting. Toilet would work after several flushings. Loose outlets in living room with one without a cover plate. Smoke detector in living room indicator not flashing, which I assume means it was not functioning. Kitchen faucet loose and wobbling. No chairs or table on front porch. Furnishings in general were tired and in need of replacing. Truman Annex is a great, well located place to stay in Key West.

FIRST FEW DAYS THERE WERE ISSUES

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: WE SPENDT ALMOST $10,000.00 FOR OUR 21 DAY STAY AND THE OWNERS OF THIS UNIT WERE THERE BEFORE WE CHECKED IN.WE FOUND SEVERAL THINGS THAT NEEDED ATTENTIION IN THE UNIT THAT THE OWNERS SHOULD HAVE TAKEN CARE OF. BROKEN IRON, TUB THAT WOULDN'T HOLD WATER FOR A BATH, TOILET SEAT THAT WAS BROKEN, NO DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO OPERATE T.V. IN TWIN BEDROOM. KITCHEN CABINETS THAT USESD GLUE TO STAY SHUT THEN WOULD POP OPEN AS YOU WERE STANDING IN FRONT OF THE SINK AND HIT YOU IN FOREHEAD, REFRIGERATOR THAT YOU HAD TO VIGOROUSLY PULL TO OPEN AS THE SEAL WAS STUCK ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER. SO ALL THESE ITEMS EVENTUALLY GOT FIXED BY COMPASS BUT IT WAS OVER THE FIRST 3-4 DAYS OF OUR VACATION WE HAD PEOPLE IN AND OUT. I DO THINK THE OWNERS WERE AWARE OF ALL OF THESE THINGS AND THAT THEY SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE TO THE RENTERS WHO WILLING PAID $10,000.00 TO STAY IN THEIR UNIT.YOU ASKED I TOLD. SANDRA WHITING

Great Key West Vacation

Great Place in Need of Some Love

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The apartment was great, but it is definitely in need of some updates. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable. In addition to being old and hard they are very creaky and squeaky. The bathroom tile near the tub is broken and it feels like you’re going to actually go through to the apartment below. Other than that, the kitchen was great. Very well stocked and great icemaker. Sunsets off the back porch are spectacular. In general location was wonderful be prepared for hearing roosters all night.

Real estate office has almost no human touch/interaction. I consider them user unfriendly for that reason. Not very accommodating.

I wouldn't stay in this rental again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: To be fair...we did not complain about our rental during our stay. I believe there are some really nice rentals in this complex but our unit was not the cleanest and needed TLC. The unit had broken floor tiles in the bathroom and the floor under the tile felt loose, the keys to the main door lock and gates had to be jiggled just the right way to open. This was frustrating especially late at night. The unit wasn't as clean we would expect for a rental.

However, the last row on the ocean, there is no water view and a huge communication tower really close.The unit is furnished well with plenty of towels, soaps and kitchen consumables.Overall a decent stay, but not plush.

Nice - but TLC needed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was convenient, safe and well landscaped. However, electrical outlets were loose and one was without a cover. Management was informed but no followup was done. Furniture was old and queen bed was uncomfortable. A/C in bedroom not cool enough so thermostat had to be set lower, possibly due to ducts not being cleaned and filter needing replacing? Overall, good for a vacation stay - but TLC needed.

Great location but not a great value........

We loved the location of this condo in the Truman Annex with Duval St, Hemmingway House, Mallory Square, Fort Zachary State Park (beach) and much more all within a short walk. The condo was small but suited our family of four, had good A/C (needed in July), a kitchen to make some meals and two good balconies on either side of the property. It also kept us safe and dry when Tropical Storm Elsa blew through. We loved the farmers market which is out by the coast guard ship museum (Thursdays) which was also a great place to watch the sunsets. For the money we paid it was overpriced. One bathroom between four of us was an inconvenience, the WiFi was very spotty and often went out. The check in process was not great. Taxi dropped us off at the realty office, we picked up our key and then trudged with luggage 3/4 mile with a confusing map in sapping heat and humidity. We ended up getting a better second map from the guard and eventually found it. The key to the front door is very temperamental, (you have to wiggle key and the handle a certain way to get it to open). We reported WiFi twice to the management company. Overall a good condo but over priced.

The condo was just as described.

The condo was very clean and as nice as described. The deck had a great view, no other homes in the way! The location was great, only 3 short blocks from Duvall St. Would definitely stay there again. Need better instructions on how to operate the TV, thank goodness the neighbors helped us out. lol
