Mini vacation

Check in was easy, great spot nobody bothers you. Around lots of stuff. Comes with everything you need. The pull out couch fit both of my teenagers. I would recommend bringing your own blankets. The ones provided are thin. Luckily we brought our own. The air works amazing!!! Pools were nice an not over crowded.The private beach is a bit of a walk, definitely drive. Would book here again.

Great amenities and views

From arriving/checking in to checkout out, everything went very smoothly and enjoyable. To get your rental when you arrive you just have to give your ID card to the security and you are on your way to your place. Its refreshing how easy it was especially since we drove a long way and were tired. We did have to go to the office the next day in the morning but that went smooth and fast as well. They have tons of amenities and the private beach is really nice and convenient. The rental itself was clean and comfortable with everything you need. You can get fresh towels everyday and it was quiet and convenient in terms of location and appliances. Overall highly satisfied and recommend.

Condo was clean but needs a major remodel. Holes in the walls where curtains once hung. Curtains and blinds were dingy and old. The toaster had a major dent in it. Living room furniture was cheap and old. Needs new trim work throughout. High step into the tub for a shower. Bed was comfortable but too big for the room. You have to turn sideways to get through the bedroom. A tangled mess of wires hung from the tv’s.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Always enjoy Sandpiper Cove. Unit was sufficiently clean upon arrival but in need of some TLC. Bathroom vent needs replaced, bad bearing and very noisy. Kitchen counter space is limited so rather than adding second microwave on counter rather then replacing the one over the stove quite inconvenient. Living room chairs need replaced, you sink down in them making them very uncomfortable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at Sandpiper Cove for 17yrs during our yearly vacation. It has been great. Location great, Staff great. However this year our Unit 2044 was very disapointing. It is in need of major upgrade, painting, floors, deck and appliances (refridge, toaster, dishes). I understand it is a pet friendly unit but for the price we paid it was disapointing.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was a perfect size for 4 people and the layout was nice. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The golf clubs were a nice amenity to play the on-site course. The furniture was a bit old and sofa and linens were stains. The interior curtain was torn due from the sliding door handle, I am sure. The sofa bed was uncomfortable but the kids slept there so I wasn't too effected. The clothing drawers were plentiful and the walk to the beach or pool was manageable. I noticed other units with golf carts and beach chair/umbrella's included in their rental so that would have been nice to have. The dish soap was a nice addition and would recommend a small container of laundry soap too. Overall the experience was good.

Location to the beach, activities to do, etc. are fantastic.As far as our actual unit, it was outdated, our blender didn’t work. We had to be conscious of keeping our small children contained and quiet at times to not disturb neighbors (who had voiced to us their concerns in not the most polite manner). While we understand the community and respect the privacy of residents, I could have been handled in a more appropriate manner.All in all we will absolutely be back to Sand Piper Cove but will not rent the same unit again.

I did not get follow up

Reviewer Comments: It would have been a good one, but ended up being a bit frustrating as I was called the day of check in BY THE PROPERTY MANAGER TO INFORM ME THAT MY UNIT i RENTED HAD BEEN CHANGED due to some circumstances of the above unit leaking. We recieved the message as we were leaving for the property. Once we arrived with a care of two kids and one crying to a unit that would not open because the code issued for it did not work. We had to sit outside with my family tired from a along drive from out of state waiting about 40 min for the property attendants to come and open the door. When we got in the unit was not comparable to the unit purchased as they did not have the same sleeping accommodations we wanted and planned for. I was told that they would try to adjust the money owed or reimburse me for some of the rental fee paid, and get back to me but no one has gotten back to me or attempted contact 3 wks out.

Clean and well well located, however, compared to my previous rental at Sandpiper Cove, #2005 was a Hampton Inn. Unit 2044 was dated and worn. Adequate for a trucker passing thru. For the same price, go with VRGO. #2005 was the Hampton Inn.

Our 6 week stay in 2044 Sandpiper Cover (Jan-Feb 2023)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time in Destin and we loved it and will be back! We rented 2044 as it was pet-friendly, but unfortunately we lost our dog before our stay but we were grateful for this unit as the plan was to bring him. We loved the location of the unit on the canal, listening to the mallards every morning was a joy! The unit is clean but outdated (e.g. bathroom and kitchen). King bed is very comfortable and I think it is fairly new based on past reviews. The living room furniture was comfortable as well. Balcony is small and outside furniture could be replaced. Easy walk to Rick's Sand Trap and the pools/hot tubs and the restaurant. Management/maintenance/security at entrance all wonderfully helpful and accommodating! The location is great and close to so many amenities. Wifi worked great for us so no issues there!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 2044 needs a complete remodel. The furniture is very old and uncomfortable. Sliding door does not lock and must be secured with a stick. Sections of floor have been replaced leaving high transitions. One of the deck chairs has Duct tape holding the footrest on. As mentioned in the heading, this unit needs a complete update.

The bed was too big for the room. Bathroom. kitchen and living room were a good size. it's better to drive to the beach entrance than walking. The apartment was at the very end and would have taken 10 or more minutes to walk to the beach.
