Coal Ridge Cabin - WV Retreat with Family History

Tucked away on 33 private acres in the rolling hills of West Virginia, Coal Ridge is more than just a cabin - it’s part of our family’s story. Designed and managed by brothers on multigenerational family land, this special place carries the history of the family. You’ll find echoes of the past: the site of the old one-room schoolhouse, the foundation of our great-grandfather’s general store, and the original family homestead perched on the hill across from Zela Elementary School.

Inside, the cabin is modern, cozy, and filled with thoughtful touches for relaxation and connection.

Main Floor Bedroom: Queen bed for easy access and restful nights.

Additional Rules & Fees
Security Deposit: All reservations made through VRBO will incur a $500 preauthorization hold on their card on file the day before check-out. Provided there are no damages the full amount will be released seven days after the initial hold is made. For all Airbnb reservations all damages will be rectified through the Airbnb resolution center.
Obey all local laws, codes and ordinances - $1000 fine for any citation.
No Parties - $1000 fine.
No smoking/vaping/candles/incense INDOORS - $500 fine. Smoking only allowed outdoors with windows closed and cigarette butts disposed of only in outdoor trash. If smoke or cigarette smell is not dispersed after the house is cleaned you will incur a $500 fine.
Check-out is at 11am ET and Check-In is at 4pm ET. $50 late checkout and $50 early check-in fee if available, non-negotiable before 1pm. After 1pm, guests will pay that night`s base rate due to inability for future guests to book the same day.
A maximum of 2 dogs are welcome but we do require guests to disclose that you are bringing a pet since when the pet is listed as a “guest” it adds our standard $150 pet fee. This fee covers extra cleaning services required to restore the home to rentable condition. Not disclosing your pet will incur a $300 fee due to the inconvenience of disrupting cleaning service preparations and operations. If you will have a service animal with you although not required by airbnb we appreciate you letting us know so we can give the same notice as pet stays to our cleaners. No cats allowed.
Max number of people on property - 5 people.
Quiet hours: 10PM-6AM.
No spray tanning, henna application, hair dyeing, or tie dyeing.
Lock home and windows when leaving.
If guests are found in the unfortunate event of disruptions alerting neighbors, GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.
If guests are suspected of carrying and/or using illegal drugs of any kind, the authorities will be engaged, and GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.
Lastly, because this is an Airbnb community not a hotel, please be respectful of the property and keep it clean before you leave.
