We had a fantastic fortnight here. The region is super, with lots to experience. The house and garden is so spacious that it feels like it could cater for a party of 10. Sergio was so helpful with tips and even arranging a fishing boat trip for us. We’re missing the Il Boss deli up the road, with focaccia that’s out of this world. Highly recommended!

Bellissimo soggiorno!
Ci torneremo sicuramente!

Beautifully styled house near a gem of a Puglian town
We stayed at the trulli as a family of four in late May.
Sergio, who looks after the property on behalf of the owner Aldo, was absolutely charming and a pleasure to deal with (for instance bringing round a mobile wifi hub when the general area lost wifi for a day or two). His English is also perfect which makes life a lot easier for those like us whose Italian is not.
The house is beautifully done and was immaculate inside. It is very spacious and very well equipped. The walls are incredibly thick and the house felt lovely and cool inside- there are fans/ air conditioning though we didn't need them. There is also a wood burning stove and other heaters so it looks as though it's set up for winter too. The kitchen has everything you need and you could honestly cook up a feast in there. Though with Monopoli and Polignano a Mare within a few minutes drive there is really no need to as they are chock full of restaurants. Both towns are on the sea and are lovely- classic Italian towns full of squares and narrow streets (and some useful shops).
It was great to have a pool to ourselves and even in late May, it was perfectly warm enough to use and stay in for a while. The pool did seem to have a lot of flies and bugs in it and we had to use the net for quite a while to fish them out each time we used it- Sergio has said he will see if the filter system needs adjusting.
Sergio warned us about the problem of mosquitoes in the house- they are both numerous and vicious. It took us a couple of days to find shops large enough to stock effective sprays/deterrents etc and we were comprehensively bitten. We'd advise future visitors to arrive fully prepared to avoid our fate!
It is essential to have a car to stay here. The local shop is very close and very well stocked but the road is a busy one and there is no pavement so even for this, it's best to hop in the car. Safety is not an issue however as the property is walled off from the road and there are gates to close at the top of the driveway so children can be kept safe. The property has one near neighbour and another place within sight so if you want to be away from everything with absolute quiet then the house wouldn't be ideal for you.
That said, this is a really beautiful place to stay in and we had a great few days in the sun.
