Renovated Cottage with Two Full Bathrooms Steps from PEI's Most Beautiful Beach

Enjoy the red sandy beaches of PEI while staying in Northern Knights Sea View Cottage, a licensed cottage.

Northern Knights is a beautiful 3 bedroom cottage just steps from the beach. Located in Green Gables Shore, this cottage was completely renovated in 2011. This spacious gem is nestled in a small group of cottages and overlooks the ocean.

Northern Knights underwent a complete facelift in 2011. We began by adding a third bedroom that faced the sea. The new bedroom has great views through its picture window along with a smaller window on each side wall. Each of the other bedrooms also received new windows, making them brighter and compliant with Provincial fire codes. We removed the old wood burner and replaced it with modern propane heat to take the chill off on a cool summer evening. We expanded the kitchen by installing all new cabinets, countertops, and a breakfast bar. And we brought it into the 21st century by adding a dishwasher, a stacked washer/dryer unit, and a water filtration system. And what would a new kitchen be without a new bath?! We replaced the toilet, sink, vanity, and flooring. All of the additions necessitated upgrading the plumbing and the electrical system throughout. We finished with new flooring, a new ceiling treatment, a fresh coat of paint, new furniture, and all new curtains, linens, and bedding.

In September, 2024, we added a second bathroom located off the master bedroom. The cottage now has TWO full baths.

Northern Knights Sea View Cottage is located in Sea View, just off Pickering Road. The cottage is a mere 200 meters from one of PEI's most beautiful beaches.

A short drive from Kensington and Summerside, the cottage is convenient to shopping, dining, and attractions. Whether you want to visit Avonlea and walk the beaches of Lucy Maude Montgomery, learn Celtic dancing, take the lighthouse tour, or feast on PEI mussels and lobsters, Northern Knights is the place to stay.

This is a wonderful cottage—clean, well-appointed, well-maintained, and it had everything we needed. Communication with the host was quick and helpful. The beach is just a short walk away, and it is a lovely area. We would definitely stay there again.

Peaceful Getaway steps from the beach!

This cottage was clean, comfortable, and stocked with anything you might need while there! The bed linens were nice quality and clean, the windows were perfect for letting in the breeze, laundry soap was appreciated with the washer and dryer, and recent renovations made it feel like new! The location was perfect for getting around the Green Gables area of the island. We’d love to come back!

Awesome place just far enough out of the way but close enough to not have to drive far for amenities. The beach was awesome and the water warm even for the end of June think we saw at the most 10 people on a beach that was miles long. The jelly fish were a bit over the top.

The perfect home away from home!

Thank you Jim for the opportunity to stay in this amazing cottage. It was very clean and comfortable - our family of 5 was very happy during our recent 5 night stay. I enjoyed early morning strolls on the beach, and we all loved sunset bonfires roasting marsh-mellows just steps away. Everything you need is there - just show up and relax! Location was great for getting around the Island easily. Would definitely stay again.

Great PEI beach vacay

Couldn't ask for a more perfect location. Less than 5 minutes from a truly lovely beach, and only 30 minutes from Cavendish -- perfect for our family! The bunk beds worked great for the kids, and the kitchen had everything we needed for homecooked meals. Outdoor shower (with hot water!) was a nice touch for washing out the sand. We'll definitely look to come back next summer!

Dipping our toes in PEI

3 nights June 20-22, 2024 - First day may have set a heat record! Appreciated the fans inside the cottage. But we beat the tourist season and enjoyed a lovely visit. Beach pretty much to ourselves to explore. Gorgeous sunsets. We took the hour drive out east to Morell and the PEI Provincial Park at Greenwich is amazing. The lupines and other flowers all utterly spectacular at this time of year. Comfortable central location from which to explore.

Short stay at Seaview Knights

While we only stay two days at the cottage it was a perfect opportunity to return to Seaview! This area has the best walking beaches! Love the sound of the ocean. The cottage was well maintained and very clean. Checkin and checkout was seamless with keyless entry. The cottage has all the kitchen essentials. Unfortunately, we found the master bed mattress very hard. We were told ahead of time that the tv was streaming only - no live tv- which wasn’t an issue but wish we had of known we would have to sign into our own streaming services and to bring log in information. The TV is also a smaller computer monitor and made it very hard to watch. Very short walk to the beach and very quiet this time of year in Seaview. It was a wonderful time relaxing and recharging the batteries. Thank you!

Jennifer, I’m sorry you thought the mattress too hard. Many guests gave stayed here and yours is the first complaint I’ve had about the mattress. As for the TV, it is definitely not a computer monitor. It is a 23 inch flatscreen Toshiba television. It is sized to fit the space available. I have never received any comments or complaints about the size of the TV. As for your need to login into your apps, I make it very clear in the welcome email that there is streaming only and guess who want to Watch live TV should bring a laptop or use one of their own apps such as Swing. Again, I’ve never had a comment or complaint about the need for guests to sign into their own apps. I imagine most people assume they will have to give, and there is ROKU streaming only as explained in my welcome email. Those issues not withstanding, I am glad that you enjoyed my cottage and the most beautiful beach on Prince Edward Island.

Ocean views and sounds of the sea

Perfect cottage for our first visit to PEI. House was very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We wanted to be 'away' and we felt that we were. The weather was beautiful, and the location was good for exploring the north. Jim's suggestions for places to visit were very helpful .
