Le chalet Moose and Squirrel est une maison de style chalet avec 3 chambres et 2 salles de bains dans un cadre privé avec vue sur la montagne Beech. Il y a un sauna, une salle de jeux et un bain à remous détachés à votre disposition!
À l'Ă©tage, vous trouverez une cuisine / salle Ă  manger ouverte avec vue depuis le salon, une table Ă  manger de style ferme avec des siĂšges pour 6, une tĂ©lĂ©vision et une cheminĂ©e Ă  gaz en pierre. Il y a 2 chambres queen sĂ©parĂ©es avec placards et tĂ©lĂ©viseurs Ă  ce niveau et une salle de bains avec douche. L'une des chambres s'ouvre sur une vĂ©randa grillagĂ©e avec des siĂšges, une table de cuisson au gaz et une vue sur la montagne. Le porche est Ă©galement attachĂ© Ă  la terrasse avec bain Ă  remous, sauna dĂ©tachĂ©, petite douche / toilettes individuelles (disponibles pendant les mois les plus chauds) et coin salon sĂ©parĂ© avec vue. En bas a un autre petit salon avec TV et poĂȘle Ă  bois. Il y a aussi une cuisine complĂšte et un coin repas. Il y a aussi un lit queen avec placard et une douche en pierre Ă  ce niveau.
La maison est entourée de ponts à chaque niveau.
En bas des escaliers de la maison principale se trouve notre salle de jeux avec des siĂšges de bar et un mini-rĂ©frigĂ©rateur, des machines Ă  sous, un jeu de flĂ©chettes, une table Ă  cartes, un poĂȘle Ă  bois et une tĂ©lĂ©vision.
Vous trouverez un foyer situé à l'extérieur de la salle de jeux pour profiter des feux de bois.
La propriété est trÚs calme et vous pouvez entendre un ruisseau saisonnier en dessous.

This house is as advertised. It is very comfortable and charming. We enjoyed the privacy and solitude all while being convenient to the attractions in the surrounding areas. The hot tub at sunset is a must.

We loved our stay at this cozy mountain home! The location was perfect—peaceful and scenic, with easy access to everything we wanted to do. The house itself had such an interesting layout, full of charm and character. Our kids had a blast exploring all the nooks and crannies, and the beds were wonderfully comfortable after long days of adventure. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus, especially in the cool mountain evenings. The owner was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to return an iPad we accidentally left behind. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

Beautiful

The property was great! It had plenty of room with comfy beds. My son loved the game room. We enjoyed multiple nights in the hot tub and sauna. The steps kept us in shape while we were vacationing. The doggies even enjoyed the views. The property manager kept in touch several times throughout the stay. Can’t wait to visit again.

Cool, quirky, relaxing place!

Enjoyed our stay here with my partner, his parents and two babes under 2. My toddler loved exploring all the porches, the hot tub was perfect, as were the views! Ann's communication was top notch - and we appreciated her recommendations. Love the creature comforts of this stocked house - we forgot our shampoo and were glad there was some in the shower! We were curious to know about the history of the house, you can tell it's been updated/added onto several times - hence quirky in the title. Overall, a great stay, and we would come again!

Wonderful July 4th weekend!

My husband & I along with my sister and BIL stayed for a long July 4th weekend and had a great time! The house was as presented online, and the view was awesome. We were up high enough to enjoy 76 degree weather which was a welcome change from upper 90 degree weather in SC! Ann was quick to respond to questions, and the check in/out process couldn’t have been easier. All in all a fun weekend!

Great adventure!

Had a great trip with plenty to do on site and close by! Every room and place had its own touch of personal care. This was the best mountain getaway we have had! Never a dull moment and plenty to do even in a rainstorm all day lol loved the amenities and everything was as listed!

Mountain getaway

What an absolutely charming home!!! With the additional hot tub and separate sauna, it feels like you're at the spa. We needed to getaway to decompress and boy, did we! The mountain views were spectacular. Owner was very communicative, and check in/out super easy! Property is private, yet only only 3 miles into downtown Banner Elk. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Stay!

Very cute little cottage! Hot tub was a nice addition as well as porch fire table. Inside decor is very well done. The outside areas and furniture could use some updating for sure.

Just what we needed!

The stay was great! Views are amazing, especially from the hot tub. We had quite a bit of snow while there which was great for snowboarding. We managed to still be able to get in and out with no problem driving an AWD vehicle. Beds were comfy and owner was great about checking in on us. Very unique property that is great for larger families or multiples families. Plenty of room to explore on this unique property.

Great place!

I really loved everything about this house, especially all the different outdoor seating areas. Beds were very comfy, well appointed furnishings. If you do not have to walk your dog, it is a fabulous place. Though you have lots of privacy, it is on a road that is not conducive to walking.

Wish we stayed longer

Really eclectic and relaxing chalet, 2 nights felt too short to really take advantage of all the amenities, both on the property and in the surrounding areas. Everything was top notch with the accommodations, just a beautiful place. I hope to return and experience some more zen.

Beautiful property. Perfect for a mountain getaway.

My family of six had the pleasure of staying in this mountain home for a weekend getaway. The property was beautiful and clean. The kids especially loved the game house and lower level bedroom. We made s’mores and memories by the fire pit. The owners attention to small details in the home was wonderful. From the decor to the thoughtful things around the house it was obvious they want their guests to feel welcome and comfortable. I would recommend this property for other travelers and definitely keep it in mind should we return to Banner Elk again.

Great week in the mountains

The house had many bonus features such as the sauna, hot tub, and game house. We had great weather, but had we not, it was an added bonus to have a number of things to do at the house had the weather not allowed for us to hike daily. There was also a nice selection of board games for the kids and TVs in every bedroom as well as both the living room and game room. The house is situated right down the way from multiple restaurants in Banner Elk. If you plan to hike at Grandfather Mountain it is only about 25-30mins away as is Roan Mountain. Linville Falls and Linville Wilderness Gorge area are also within 40mins drive. We had a great time and the house was a wonderful base to return to after a long day of hiking or kayaking. The beds were all very comfortable and there are two nice showers.

A Lovely Getaway

The view from the hot tub and front porch is awesome! A Christmas tree farm up on the hill and ole' glory flying above it. The house is in the shade for the afternoon/evening and it was nice and cool with the breeze. Hot tub was perfectly clean and working. Beds comfortable. The only thing we noticed is that the outside chairs could have used a wipe down. Fun place for all ages. Just a few minutes from downtown Banner Elk.

Country oasis

I recently stayed at this beautiful rental and couldn't have been more pleased. The property was immaculate, reflecting a high standard of cleanliness that made me feel immediately comfortable. The decor was tasteful, adding to the overall appeal of the space. We enjoyed morning coffee & meals on the giant porch. Visit orchards, alpaca farms and choose and cut your own Christmas tree!

There are gem mines in the area and Tweetsie Railroad is a popular family attraction.
