The house had everything we needed. I wish we would’ve been able to control the thermostat, but Michael was very accommodating and even took time to call and check on us the next day. He was the best host I’ve ever dealt with.

Beautiful weather, the lodging didnt have any cleaning supplies, minimal towels, there was limited air conditioning and the dishwasher didnt appear to work.

Winterplace vacation

The place was great! Lots of kitchen gear for our meals, places to hang snow gear, and plenty extra blankets and towels for 6. We really enjoyed being so close to the slopes, unfortunately the weather wasn't as cooperative. Warmer Temps meant that we had to walk through a grass and muddy area to reach the slopes. Gorgeous sunrises easily seen while sitting on the couch.

Overpriced for size and quality

I have stayed at many vrbo properties and I don't believe I have ever had to leave a negative review. But this place was way overpriced for what you got. There were dishes we had to clean because they weren't properly cleaned, the main window in the living room was filthy with handprints and smudges all over it, and the warming pan under the oven had mouse droppings. If the price matched the quality of the home then I wouldn't have even left a review, but to be so tiny and lack cleanliness, I was very disappointed.

My only negative VRBO review ever

The condo was dirty when we arrived. No fans, no ceiling fans, no screens on the windows & the musty mildewy smell was overwhelming. All 6 in our party struggled to breathe inside the condo, & a couple of us still have nasty coughs. Spending time on the porch was not much of an option. Evidence of rodents gnawing on the wood was everywhere. Obviously a drunk monkey was employed to design & build the steps & porch; one member of our party & at least one member of the party upstairs fell on the unstable & unlevel steps. We were given instructions to load & start the dishwasher on departure. We did so, but without detergent; not a single pod was available. Empty the trash: no replacement bags. I will say that the kitchen was well equipped, more so than most rentals.

It was a perfect space for our family- it was clean and had all that we needed to cook with pots, crock pot and grill. It snowed 6" and although very cold- being able to walk down the stairs and snap on our skis and start skiing was wonderful as well as taking a break and then going back out. Also, Mike, the property manager was so nice and very responsive and quick when called- drove up on a snowy evening to flip the breaker box when the electricity went out. He was very accommodating and let us know they would be scraping the driveway after the snow for us to drive home which they did.

Very convenient location for us. Easy access to the slopes so we could come and go quickly and easily throughout the day. Owner stayed in contact when a main water line broke to let us know details about it. Plenty of Dollar Generals close by where we able to get paper products instead of using dishes that had to be washed. We had a good time even with the water issue and was glad the owner took time out of her day to keep us updated.

Shared house

We were not aware that we only rented lower level of house. The driveway was gravel and not real big, we had 2 vehicles and the other tenants had 3 and a motorcycle. It was hard to get in and out. We were cold and couldn't get the thermostat to shut off the air. The instructions said wifi password was on router and the router was in the upstairs, I called and the lady was really helpful and told me it was on a chalkboard instead. The smoke detector was beeping, the maintained man called and we told him we had taken it down to stop the noise. The contact people were very responsive and polite and friendly. All the doors to the bedrooms and bathrooms were hard to open and close, seemed to be swollen and made noise everytime you opened or closed one made a lot of noise so it woke others up if you tried to move around early. It was not a good option for us.

We enjoyed our stay. Only two suggestions- 1. More comfortable seating in living room area. 2. Heat did not work well (cold air blowing out of vent even though unit said it was heating). We used small space heater in unit for heat. Thankfully we were there during summer. Overall the place worked well for our family.

Family ski trip

My husband and I stayed at this property 20 years ago, and we were able to bring our family back this year. The property is centrally located close to everything. You put your skis on right off the porch and ski down to the lift. Great set up. My kids are now saying this is one of their favorite trips ever! Definitely will be booking again!

Great location and clean

We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. That being said there are some things you should know. Though there are plenty of tools in the kitchen there are no spices or anything. Not even salt and pepper. You have to bring everything. Beds comfortable enough but you can definitely hear people walking around upstairs. We had an issue with heat not working, fortunately it wasn't cold that night. Though the property manager was very polite and kind, they couldn't manage to get anyone there to fix it. Correspondence afterwards was good though and they compensated us. There was an electric space heater we used to get through the night. Again, great location right by slope and lodge so all in all worth it.
