Amazing views, homely and comfortable house with a big fireplace, a great home base to go and explore Hobart or Huon Valley region. Steve was a really friendly and helpful host. Great value for money, would highly recommend staying here.
Great location, comfortable beds, a bbq, with lovely views of hills and bay. Set on large block hosting potoroos and a variety of small birds and very pleasant birdsong. Secluded, yet close enough to shops.
An enjoyable, trouble free stay, thank you.
The location and view are second to none. Our hosts were kind, responsive and very accommodating. We would highly recommend this stay to anyone. Thank you.
This house is beautifully located up in the hills of Snug with a great view down the valley to the channel and across to Bruny Island. The house itself is spacious, comfortable and has a very relaxing vibe.
Excellent spot and views. Great setup - big bedrooms and good living area. Deck lovely for evening drink. Property is a bit tired - needs a lot of outside maintenance. Inside same - lots of clutter of owner’s things.

Our plan is to replace the deck and railings this winter. So she will look brand new very soon!
We offer our beautiful home to those that would like to share this piece of paradise. There is plenty of room in the fridge and cupboards. We do have some clothes and personal belongs, trophies etc around the place as this is our home!
Fantastic hilltop home with a commanding view down to the water and over to Bruny island. Easy access and close to the Snug IGA. Great house with outdoor eating areas and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended for families as plenty of wallabies to see and nearby hime to Snug falls is fun! Best Greg
Great location with amazing view. Steve was so easy to deal with and helped us out of a big problem with our hire car. (If you're looking to hire a car, organise it with Steve, its a way better deal and you can collect it straight from the airport) The house has everything you need, is cosy and clean. And if you're in need of a meal, Steve will even organise a home cooked thai meal. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to get back there again soon.
This was a perfect place. Spent a week in Tasmania traveling to all sorts of different holiday houses and have to say this one was the best. Amazing location and view, the house was very cozy and just a treat to stay in too. Only downsides are the house is on rainwater so you have to be conservative with water and the neighbors are pretty close to the rear of the property. Besides that it is truly an amazing location. If I come back to tazzie, I'm definitely booking this house again!

Thanks for a wonderful review. We do state in the property description that we stay in the back shed whilst we have guests staying in the house.
We do try not to disrupt the serenity but at the same time it’s good to know our house is being looked after!
We were in heaven as soon as we walked in the front door. The wooden two story house won us over with it's homely charm, comfort and views over the harbour. Plenty of room for larger groups with two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and one bedroom plus sofas downstairs. A great kitchen and fireplace make for comfy evenings. Steve was great to deal. Plenty of birdlife in the garden and adjoining forest, or take a 5 minute drive to Snug Falls.
The property was beautiful. It was very well stocked. The owners were close by and made it known they were available if we needed anything. We didn't because everything worked and everything we needed was supplied.
The position is fantastic with views across to Bruny and other islands/peninsulas. Fully equipped for a very comfortable stay. Location great for visiting Huon Valley.

This view is everything!
There were 7 of us staying for 6 nights in January 2021.
Many positives, this house is in the ideal location for day trips to Hobart and surrounding areas. View to die for and plenty of wildlife. The house is spacious and the wood fire does an amazing job of heating the place. We were extremely grateful for the fishing rods that Steve provided and the boys caught many fish locally.
The few negatives - we were unaware that the hosts live in the house full time and when guests are booked in they move into a dwelling behind the house. This means that all cupboards and drawers are filled with their personal belongings and clothes are merely pushed aside in the wardrobe to make space for guests. Not a big deal but I do feel it should be put into the description.
They also request you don't use the bath as they are on tank water, this didn't affect us but some people specifically look for accommodation with baths and they would need to know this beforehand.
All in all we had a very enjoyable time.

As for the 3 seater spa bath, there is no mention that we actually have one in our description, but thanks for the tip, I will include the fact that it’s not practical that guests use it in the dry summer months, as we are on tank water..
You forgot to mention - we provided you with our 2 cars and that we saved a load of heartache and expense when the windows were left open in 50 knots of wind.
Thanks for the 3 stars for things that weren’t a big deal to you!
We try so hard for that 5 star perfection!
We loved our stay in this lovely house with a spectacular view over the bay. We also enjoyed the yummy Thai meal which the hosts home cooked for an extra reasonable price. THe chickens and wallabies were cute too!
One of the best places we have stayed!! Amazing property with everything needed for a great stay!! Steven was very helpful and accommodating!! Would recommend to friends and family!! Love to stay again in the near future!!
