About this property

Renovated 3BR Heritage Home | Private Veranda walk to the Rocks and Barangaroo

Stay in a genuine 1911 heritage terrace in Millers Point with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private front veranda and a sunny enclosed rear courtyard.

This is not a high-rise apartment. It is a character-filled Sydney home on a quiet sandstone street, with room for up to six guests and Barangaroo just around five minutes away on foot. The Rocks, Walsh Bay, Circular Quay and the Sydney CBD are all close by.

The home offers a rare combination for this part of Sydney: heritage character, proper space for families and groups, two private outdoor areas, a full kitchen, two bathrooms and easy walkability to the harbour and city.

THE SPACE

Inside, the terrace feels bright, warm and comfortably lived in. The open-plan living and dining area includes a comfortable lounge, bold artwork, indoor greenery, Smart TV with Netflix, fast Wi-Fi and reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating.

The round marble dining table seats six comfortably and works well for shared meals, planning a day in Sydney or catching up on work.

At the front of the home, the private veranda is a peaceful place for morning coffee or an evening drink. It has harbour breezes and leafy water outlook through the surrounding trees.

At the rear, French doors open to a sunny, fully enclosed courtyard with outdoor dining for six. It is private, relaxed and an uncommon luxury this close to the CBD.

The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking at home. It includes a gas cooktop, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, Nespresso machine, French press, rice cooker, wine glasses, full crockery, cookware and cooking basics.

BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS

The home sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms.

Bedroom 1 is positioned at the front of the home and includes a queen bed, premium linen and blackout blinds.

Bedroom 2 includes a double bed, quality linen, blackout blinds and calm neutral styling.

Bedroom 3 is located at the rear of the home and includes two single beds, a quiet courtyard outlook and its own private ensuite bathroom. It is ideal for children, friends or colleagues travelling together.

There are two modern bathrooms with walk-in showers, quality toiletries, fresh towels and a hairdryer.

WHAT MAKES THIS HOME SPECIAL

Built in 1911 by the Sydney Harbour Trust to house the port’s wharfies, this Federation terrace sits within one of Sydney’s most intact historic streetscapes.

The private veranda offers harbour breezes and leafy water glimpses, while the enclosed rear courtyard gives guests a second private outdoor area for meals, coffee or downtime.

The home combines historic character with practical comfort. It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, laundry facilities, fast Wi-Fi, Smart TV with Netflix and reverse-cycle heating and cooling.

Beach towels, a picnic basket, umbrellas, wine glasses and a local guidebook are provided. A travel cot can be arranged on request.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Millers Point is a quiet harbourside village positioned between Barangaroo and The Rocks. It is known for sandstone terraces, historic streets, harbour breezes and a genuine residential feel, while still sitting moments from Sydney’s best-known waterfront precincts.

Barangaroo Reserve and waterfront dining are around five minutes away on foot. Walsh Bay theatres and restaurants are an easy walk. The Rocks Markets and historic laneways are around eight to ten minutes away. Circular Quay ferries, Sydney Observatory and the Sydney CBD are all close by.

Ferries from Circular Quay provide easy access to Manly, Taronga Zoo and the harbour islands. The Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge can be reached via Circular Quay and the harbour foreshore walks.

IDEAL FOR

This home is ideal for families wanting space, a kitchen and private outdoor areas. It also suits couples looking for a distinctive Sydney stay with heritage character, friends or colleagues travelling together, business travellers working in Barangaroo or the CBD, theatre-goers visiting Walsh Bay and cruise guests needing an easy base near the Overseas Passenger Terminal.

GUEST ACCESS

Guests have exclusive use of the entire downstairs terrace, including all three bedrooms, both bathrooms, the living and dining areas, full kitchen, laundry, private front veranda and enclosed rear courtyard.

There are no shared guest spaces.

Self check-in is available via key safe from 3:00 pm.

HOUSE RULES

Check-in is available after 3:00 pm and check-out is before 10:00 am.

Loved this place!

When I booked I didn’t realize just how well I had selected! Walking distance to everything - Circular Quay, botanical gardens, bridge walk, King’s Wharf, the zoo, metro, etc., etc. Worked out really well for our 3-days in Sydney. We even caught the train to the Blue Mountains (worth the 2-hour ride) and the bus to the Bondi Beach Walk (30 min and worth the trip). We had fabulous weather all 3 days, crisp but sunny, and enjoyed dropping into Lord Nelson’s pub each night for a pint and snack. Jenny’s place was the perfect size for our group. Very clean and decorated nicely. She has a great view of the river from her landing so that was a nice start to our day each morning.

Central City Old Town Apartment

Ideal location for anyone wanting to explore Sydney. This is a lovely property on the ground floor of a two story end of terrace house. It is decorated to a high standard and is attractive to look at. It has two lovely bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. It is not in my opinion suitable for young children as there are mirrors and pictures propped up against walls. There are large building projects taking place at the moment in Barangoo and noisy work seems to start around 7.30 am until 6 pm, which can be heard from inside the property.

Nice Property Conveniently Located in Sydney

Nice property conveniently located close to Circular Quay and the Rocks. Our group of 3x friends were all accommodated in this 3 bedroom property. We appreciated having the opportunity to leave our bags at the property on the morning of our arrival, prior to check in. Property was clean and well maintained, and communication with Jenny prior to arrival was always prompt.

Fantastic Location, modern updated home.

My family of 6 adults stayed comfortably for three nights and had a lovely experience in this updated home. Communication from the owner was great, check-in easy and flawless. Beds were very comfortable, lots of bedding, A/C great, bathrooms well outfitted and lots of necessities included, thank you! Fantastic location quick walk to The Rocks, Hungry Mile, Circular Quay, Observatory, trains, ferries and Opera House. Really enjoyed or stay there and would choose the same home for our next visit.

Property is well maintained.

The apartment is located in a great location, easy to walk to shopping/ transportation/ parks/ restaurants and sight seeing spots. Jenny is a wonderful host and does her best to accommodate her guests-appreciated that we were able to drop luggage with the house keeping crew which made is easier for us to start seeing the local sights. Only recommendation is for a few more bath/hand towels and a few hooks in bathrooms to hang a towel or bathrobe. Overall, a great property in a wonderful location.

Great location and property.

Our stay at Jenny's place was very pleasant. We were within easy walking distance of town and many attractions. It was a easy walk to the Circular Quay and Kings Wharf. That made for easy transportation by train or ferry. I'm sure the buses would have been equally easy but, we didn't use any. We could walk to places to eat and also to markets where we bought some groceries to keep on hand. Jenny's place was nicely decorated and had all we needed for a pleasant stay. Jenny was very quick to respond to all questions I had. We could not have asked for a better place to stay in Sydney. The beds were very comfortable so we were able to sleep and rest well. I would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional Accommodations

Very nice place, clean, comfortable, and well supplied with items needed for a stay. The location was excellent for both taxi access and walking to attractions and museums. The price was extremely reasonable for the exceptional area. Also the view was outstanding. My husband and I was able to walk all around Sydney. The Opera House and Sydney Harbor Bridge are a short taxi ride away, or with weather permitting a nice walk. Darling Harbor is right across the street, which has plenty of shopping and fantastic restaurants. I highly recommend this place to stay while in Sydney.
